Cari Passeggeri,
benvenuti a bordo.
Dear Passengers,
welcome on board.
Stagione magica, la primavera. E magiche anche le novità che
siamo felici e orgogliosi di annunciarvi. Blue Panorama vola a
Mosca, città dal fascino unico e sorprendente, ricca culturalmente, maestosa, indimenticabile. Il Cremlino resta uno dei
luoghi dove il senso del Potere si respira, dove è facile ambientare e rivivere, con un po’ di fantasia ed immaginazione,
eventi anche drammatici delle recente storia del mondo. Volare a Mosca adesso è più facile, ed anche economico, grazie a
blu-express che dopo Palermo ora decolla anche da Roma per
atterrare in questa metropoli paragonabile alla nostra Città
Eterna: non per niente viene chiamata anche la “terza Roma”,
perché come l’originale ha sette colli ed è attraversata da un
fiume. Città gaudente e che ama divertirsi, ha musei, chiese,
quartieri dello shopping, splendidi ristoranti, una frenetica
vita notturna: un soggiorno che non si dimentica.
Chi alla città preferisce le suggestioni della natura, troverà in
questo numero del nostro Magazine, che appare anche con
qualche innovazione, due suggerimenti marini: Zante e Cefalonia, Yucatàn e Chiapas, destinazioni coinvolgenti, per una
vacanza davvero scacciapensieri. E tutti sappiamo quanto in
questo periodo ci sia davvero bisogno di qualche distrazione.
Per qualche momento di serenità, nel Magazine proponiamo
anche le piacevoli letture su Shakira, regina della canzone, e
Quentin Tarantino, uno stravagante Maestro della regia che
quest’anno ha proposto con successo il suo formidabile Django. E poi la moda di Stella McCartney, "Non chiamatemi figlia
di papà", l’arte di Keith Haring, le vittorie sciistiche della nuova stella italiana, Matteo Marsaglia.
Questo e molto altro, nel mondo di Blue Panorama, ovunque

paesaggi tra le righe
Archdaily, popolare sito dedicato all’architettura, ha incoronato “Edificio dell’anno 2012” una chiesa trasparente realizzata dagli architetti Pieterjan Gijs e Arnout Van
Vaerenbergh a Borgloon, in Belgio. L’effetto trasparenza
è ottenuto grazie alla composizione di 100 lastre sottili
sovrapposte a 2.000 colonne di acciaio. La chiesa tradizionale perde letteralmente le sue fondamenta per trasformarsi in un oggetto d'arte che permette di “lasciare
penetrare sole e aria e consente di intravedere il paesaggio circostante, senza appropriarsi degli spazi”.Sulla base
di queste considerazioni gli autori del monumento l’hanno battezzata Reading between the lines (letteralmente,
leggere tra le righe).

DI FREDDIE
MERCURY
Al Kensal Green Cemetery di Londra un gruppo di fan di Freddie Mercury avrebbe ritrovato la tomba del frontman dei Queen scomparso il
24 novembre del 1991 per Aids. Si sa che Mercury fu cremato, ma non
si è mai scoperto dove fossero deposte le sue ceneri. A indirizzare i
sospetti, una targa in bronzo su cui è riportata la dicitura “In Loving Memory of Farrokh Bulsara” seguita da una dedica in francese “Pour Etre
Toujours Pres De Toi Avec Tout Mon Amour” (Per essere sempre vicino
a te, con tutto il mio amore), firmata da una misteriosa "M". L'ipotesi
sarebbe avvalorata dalla presenza sulla lapide del vero nome di battesimo del cantante (Farrokh Bulsara) e dalla perfetta coincidenza della
sua data di nascita e morte. La misteriosa "M" potrebbe essere invece
l'iniziale di Mary Austen, che il cantante considerava il "grande amore
della sua vita" e a cui furono affidate le sue ceneri dopo la morte.

Mercury's fun group would have found the grave
of Queen front man who died in November, 24th
1991 because of AIDS. It is known that Mercury
was cremated, but it was never found out where
his ashes were laid out . To address the suspects,
a bronze plaque on which is marked "In Loving
Memory of Farrokh Bulsara" followed by a dedication in French "Pour Toujours Etre Avec Tout Pres
De Toi Mon Amour" (To be close to you, with all
my love) signed by a mysterious "M". The hypothesis is corroborated by the presence on the tombstone of the real first
name of the singer (Farrokh Bulsara) and by the perfect coincidence of
his date of birth and death. The mysterious "M" could instead be the
initial of Mary Austen, that the singer considered the "love of his life"
and to whom were entrusted the ashes after the death.

Landscape between
the lines
Archdaily, a popular website dedicated to architecture,
crowned as "Building of the year 2012" a transparent
church built by the architects Pieterjan Gijs and Arnout
Van Vaerenbergh Borgloon, in Belgium.
The transparency effect is obtained thanks to the
composition of 100 overlapping thin slabs to 2,000
columns of steel. The traditional church literally loses
its foundations to become a piece of art
that allows to "let the
sun and air penetrate
and allows to glimpse
the surrounding landscape, without using
the spaces." On the
basis of these considerations, the authors
of the monument have
called it Reading between the lines.

amsterdam festeggia
400 anni di canali
Amsterdam celebra i 400 anni della
Grachtengordel, la "cintura di canali" con la
mostra Along Amsterdam’s Canals, presso
il Museo Rembrandthuis. Fino al 26 maggio
sarà possibile ripercorrere i mutamenti della città dal Seicento al Novecento attraverso
disegni e foto che immortalano i canali più
importanti di Amsterdam: il Keizergracht (il
Canale dell'Imperatore), il Prinsengracht (il
Canale del Principe), l'Herengracht (il Canale dei Signori) e il Singel, incrociati e uniti da
un labirinto di canali minori. I festeggiamenti proseguiranno fino all'autunno con Chambres des Canaux,
mostra costruita sulla teoria del museo diffuso: le abitazioni che si affacciano sui canali, infatti, diventano temporaneamente atelier e gallerie per ospitare le opere di artisti che
hanno reso omaggio ad Amsterdam.

la riserva che salva
le tigri
Tigre in via d’estinzione? C'è ancora una speranza di salvezza. Il
Tiger Rescue Centre Compound di Bandar Lampung (Indonesia)
ospita il più maestoso dei felini per preservarlo dall’estinzione:
la tigre del Sumatra. Quarantacinquemila ettari di terreno per
tentare di mantenere in natura la regina della giungla: manto più
scuro rispetto alla razza standard, taglia grande e, soprattutto,
affamata. Le tigri infatti si nutrono quotidianamente di 80 maialini
da 10-12 chili ciascuno, una spesa ingente che non contribuisce
a semplificare la sua salvaguardia. Arriva però una buona notizia
dall’altra parte del mondo: un esemplare di tigre di Sumatra ha
dato alla luce un piccolo cucciolo che ha allietato gli abitanti del
San Francisco Zoological Society e ha alleggerito gli animi di coloro che hanno a cuore la sopravvivenza della specie.

400 years of canals
Amsterdam celebrates the 400th anniversary of Grachtengordel, the "belt of canals" with the exhibit Along Amsterdam's
Canals, at the Museum Rembrandthuis. Until 26 May it will be
possible to trace the changes of the city from the seventeenth
to the twentieth century through drawings and photos that
immortalize the most important canals of Amsterdam, the Keizersgracht (Emperor's Canal), Prinsengracht (Prince's Canal),
Herengracht (Canal of Lords) and the Singel, cross-linked by a
labyrinth of small canals. The celebrations will continue until
autumn with Chambres des Canaux, exhibit built on the theory of extended museum: the houses that overlook the canals,
in fact, become temporarily studios and galleries to host the
works of artists who paid tribute to Amsterdam.
Tiger endangered? There is still a
hope of salvation. The Tiger Rescue Centre Compound of Bandar
Lampung (Indonesia) hosts the
most majestic of felines to preserve it from extinction: the Sumatran tiger. Forty-five thousand
acres of land to try to keep in

he città è Mosca? Davvero è solo adunate oceaniche, Armata Rossa e colbacchi di pelo? Davvero è solo il regno
del Generale Inverno che, oltre ai Cavalieri Teutonici e
alle truppe della Wehrmacht, ha infranto anche i sogni di conquista di un genio come Napoleone? Davvero è ormai solo il ricordo
sbiadito di quella passata grandezza che negli anni della “cortina di
ferro” teneva il mondo col fiato sospeso? Per avere una risposta a
queste domande bisogna attendere il tramonto di un pomeriggio
terso con poche nubi e fare una passeggiata lungo la Moscova. Non
importa se sugli argini o su un ponte, l’importante è che siano solo
i passi a scegliere direzione e ritmo, non la decisione di arrivare
da qualche parte. Capita, a un certo punto, senza
sapere bene perché o da dove si sia sprigionato un
ordine così perentorio, che ci si debba fermare e che
lo sguardo attratto da chissà quale forza misteriosa si
perda su un punto preciso del fiume che, immobile,
è diventato ormai uno specchio di metallo liquido
scintillante di minuscoli aghi dorati. È allora, con
una voce che sembra scaturire dalla notte dei tempi,
che Mosca racconta la sua storia. E la storia narra di
un piccolo villaggio su una collina abitato da genti
che vengono da un paese dove il sole non c’è quasi

mai e che con barche che sembrano gusci arcuati scendono
il corso lento dei fiumi per arrivare dove il sole c’è quasi
sempre e dove le città splendono d’oro, l’aria profuma di
spezie e di incenso e le donne hanno occhi scuri come vetri
di lava. Commerciano pelli, ambra e avorio ma più spesso
arrivano con le armi e prendono senza pagare. Qualcuno
rimane da quelle parti, nella Guardia Variaga di Costantinopoli, a fare quello che sa fare bene fin dalla nascita, ma
qualcun altro torna in quel villaggio sulla collina che costeggia il fiume color del metallo, e porta indietro molto
più che oro, sete e donne dagli occhi di lava: porta un’idea,
un desiderio, la visione di trasformare un villaggio in una

città, un pirata in un musicista. È in quel momento
che nasce Mosca, la Nuova Roma, la città cinta di
mura che ha un grande fiume e sette colli, che usa
lettere greche per scrivere una lingua senza alfabeto,
che innalza basiliche e cupole così piene di colore
da sembrare mosaici bizantini e che chiama C’zar il
suo re perché Cesare in slavo si pronuncia così. Poi
arriva Majakovskij e l’immaginazione senza freni del
futurismo russo, la razionalità del costruttivismo e il
liberty della metropolitana più bella del mondo, la
grafica dei soviet e la grazia dei balletti del Bolscioj.
Contraddizioni? Esattamente. È per questo che
nella Piazza Rossa, al Cremlino,
insieme alla Cattedrale di San
Basilio c’è il mausoleo della
salma di Lenin venerata
come una santa reliquia,
che al Museo delle Belle Arti Pushkin convivono in armonia il
Tesoro di Micene, Picasso, Chagall, Monet,
Guido Reni, il Guercino e Canaletto, che i

specchiano nei grattacieli di vetro della Russia post-comunista,
che dai palazzoni alti e grigi di Tverskoy si vedono le cupole bizantine delle chiese, che dal Palazzo
della Lubyanka dove tramavano

Contraddizioni, insomma, ed è e sette colli

La campana dello Zar
Mosca vanta la campana più grande del
mondo: commissionata intorno al 1733 dalla sovrana Anna, nipote di Pietro il Grande,
purtroppo la campana non ha mai suonato
neppure un rintocco a causa del distacco
di un grosso pezzo dal corpo principale ancora in fossa di fusione. È lì, a terra, vicino
al campanile di Ivan il Grande al Cremlino,
bella come nessun’altra, perfetta in tutto
ma malinconicamente muta. I russi, tuttavia,
devono avere uno spiccato senso dell’umorismo perché a fianco della campana si trova
anche lo Tsar Pushka, l’obice più grande del
mondo: più di un metro di diametro, lungo fino a cinque e del peso
di oltre 38 tonnellate. Certo, nulla a che vedere con i numeri della
Campana dello Zar, che di metri ne misura 6 sia in altezza che in
diametro e un peso che arriva a oltre 200 tonnellate. Pare però che,
diversamente dalla campana, lo Tsar Pushka almeno qualche colpo
l’abbia sparato. Il condizionale però è d’obbligo, perché i proiettili
per esserci ci sono e sono posizionati accanto al cannone, solo che
risultano un po’ troppo grandi per la sua bocca da fuoco. Di nuovo
una gigantesca burla?

Moscow boasts the world's largest bell:

Ivanovna, niece of Peter the Great, the
bell has never even played a toll because
of the separation of a large piece from the
main body still in the casting pit. It is just
there, on the ground near the bell tower
of Ivan the Great in the Kremlin, beautiful
like no other, perfect in every way but sadly
silent. The Russians, however, must have
a sense of humor because on the side of
the bell, there is also the Tsar Pushka, the
world's largest howitzer: more than a meter
in diameter, long up to five and weighing more than 38
tons. Of course, nothing to do with the numbers of the
Tsar Bell, which measures 6 meters both in height and in
diameter and the weigh that reach more than 200 tons.
But it seems that, unlike the bell, the Tsar Pushka at least
would have rung few tolls. The conditional, however, is a
must, because the bullets are there and are located next
to the cannon, but are just too big for its gun. Again a
giant hoax?

W
hat city is Moscow? Is it really just huge musters, Red Army and fur hats? Is it really just
the reign of the General Winter, that in addition to the Teutonic Knights and the troops of Wehrmacht, broke the dreams of conquest of a genius like
Napoleon? Is it really just a faded memory of the past
greatness over the years of the "iron curtain" that held
the world with the bated breath? To answer to these
questions you must wait for a sunset of a clear afternoon
with few clouds and take a walk along the Moscow River.
It does not matter if along the banks or on a bridge, the
important thing is that the steps choose the direction
and the pace, not the decision
to get somewhere. It happens,
at some point, without knowing why or where such a strong
order has been given off, that
we should stop and the gaze attracted to some kind of mysterious force is lost on a point in the river that, motionless, is
now become a mirror of liquid metal sparkling with tiny
golden needles. It is then, in a voice that seems coming from the dawns of time, that Moscow tells its story.
It tells the story of a small village on a hill inhabited by
people who come from a country where there is no sun,
and with boats that seem curved shells slow down the
course of the rivers to get to where there is always the
sun and where the city shine of gold, the air smells of
spices and incense and the women have dark eyes like glasses of lava.
They trade leather, amber and ivory but more often they come with
guns and take without paying. Someone remain out there, in the Variaga Guard of Constantinople, to do what they
can do well from birth, but someone else come
back in that village on the hill along the river with
the color of the metal, and brings back a lot more
than gold, silks and women from the eyes of lava;
he brings an idea, a desire, a vision to transform
a village into a city, a pirate into a musician. It is
at that moment that arises Moscow, the New Rome, the city that has
walls and a big river with seven hills, which uses Greek letters to write a
language with no alphabet, which raises basilicas and domes so full of
color to seem Byzantine mosaics and calls C'zar his king because Caesar, in Slavic language, it is pronounced like that. Then comes Mayakovsky and the unbridled imagination of Russian Futurism, the rationality
of Constructivism and the liberty art of the world's most beautiful underground, the graphics of the Soviets and the graceful of the Bolshoi
ballet. Contradictions? Exactly. That's why in the Red Square, the Kremlin, along with the St. Basil's Cathedral there is the mausoleum of the
body of Lenin revered as a holy relic, and
the Museum of Fine Arts Pushkin that
lives in harmony with the Treasury in Mycenae, Picasso, Chagall, Monet, Guido
Reni, the Guercino and Canaletto, the
State stores Gum that are reflected in the
glass skyscrapers of the post-communist
Russia, the high-rise and gray Tverskoy;
you can see the Byzantine domes of
churches, from the Palace of Lubyanka
where the KGB agents plotted, you can
hear the chants of the Orthodox rite of
the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Contradictions, in short, and this is the secret
that jealously guards a gem like Moscow:
if was not like that, why in the world the
descendant of a barbarian warrior of the
North would madly love the Fabergé
eggs?

«Arrivo a 10 film e poi smetto»

A
ssistere a uno spaghetti western ambientato nella Francia occupata dai nazisti, e veder saltare in
aria l’intera classe dirigente grazie a delle pellicole in celluloide? Vuol dire solo una cosa: si sta assistendo
alla proiezione di uno dei capolavori usciti dalla mente di
Quentin Tarantino.
Tarantino è un mostro di bravura, è riuscito a imporsi
nell’immaginario collettivo fin dal primo film, Le Iene. Da
quel momento il pulp ha fatto breccia nel cinema e ha imposto i suoi canoni di bellezza: violenza, storie mozzafiato,

action, spaghetti western tutto mescolato per un risultato
ogni volta strabiliante. Una regia solida, una cultura cinematografica da far impallidire i critici più blasonati, una
predilezione per il B-movie (italiano) e una capacità di
scrittura come poche nella storia del cinema. I suoi dialoghi sono surreali e magnifici, digressioni azzeccatissime,
soprattutto quando parlano di fumetti. In pochi anni è riuscito dove pochi prima di lui: ha creato un genere dalla
fusione di tanti stili diversi, una sorta di manifesto del postmoderno in chiave pulp.
Come le spade di Kill Bill “che si possono equiparare
solo ad altre spade forgiate da Hattori Hanzo”, così
i film di Quentin Tarantino possono essere valutati solo a partire da altri film di Tarantino. C’è poco
da fare, il suo cinema o si ama o si odia. Per amarlo
basta guardare i film che ha realizzato con l’animo
di chi vuole godere di uno spettacolo che altrimenti
nessuno sarebbe in grado di farci ammirare.
Citazionista, feticista dei piedi reo confesso, amante
delle inquadrature ben riuscite, delle donne e della
violenza sublimata dal grande schermo: Quentin Tarantino non ha paura di rischiare.

i registi superano la scadenza» e ancora: «In un mondo ideale, dieci film
nella mia filmografia sarebbero belli. Se cambiassi idea, se mi venisse in
mente una nuova storia, potrei tornare. Ma fermarmi a 10 sarebbe come
una dichiarazione artistica».
Speriamo che la tentazione di ritirarsi sia solo una fase passeggera sulla visione del suo futuro. Il cinema ha bisogno di Tarantino,
come Tarantino ha bisogno del cinema. E noi spettatori abbiamo
bisogno di entrambi.

«I’ll quit after 10th movie»
W
atching a spaghetti western set in the Nazi-occupied
France, and watching blow
up the entire ruling class thanks to the
celluloid wrap film? It means only one
thing: we are witnessing the show of one
of the masterpieces born from the mind
of Quentin Tarantino.
Tarantino is a monstrous talent, he managed to stand out in the collective imaginary since the first film, Reservoir
Dogs. Since then, the pulp breaches in
film world and imposed its standards of
beauty: violence, breathtaking stories,
action, spaghetti western all mixed together for a stunning result every time. A
solid direction, a knowledge of cinema
that the most famous critics would envy,
a preference for the (Italian) B-movie and
a writing skills like few in the history of
cinema. His dialogues are surreal and
magnificent digressions, especially when
talk about comic books. In a few years

he succeeded as very few before him: he
created a genre from the fusion of many
different genres, a kind of manifesto of
postmodernism in a pulp key.
As the Kill Bill swords, "that you can only
equate to other swords forged by Hattori
Hanzo", so the films of Quentin Tarantino
can only be assessed from other Tarantino movie. There is little to do, in his films
you either love or hate him. To love him
just look at the films he created with the
soul of those who want to enjoy a show
that otherwise no one would be able to
let us see.
Quotationist, self-confessed foot fetishist, lover of the very successful framing,
women and violence sublimated from
the big screen: Quentin Tarantino is not
afraid to take risks.
With the latest work, Django Unchained,
we arrived at nine films (and a half). The
film took home two Academy Awards:
one goes to the former dentist and
bounty hunter Christoph Waltz (who already won for the same category in the
previous Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds)
as Best Supporting Actor, the other goes
to the same Tarantino for the original
screenplay. A success from every point
of view, even monetary: more than three
million euro earned in the first four days
only in Italy. Despite the awards, the film
has seen fierce controversy among those
who have read the history of the slavery
told on film as a mere spectacle of a dramatic event. The same Leonardo Di Caprio, who plays a slave-driver without scruple, expressed his hesitation to certain
jokes that could be "excessive". Through
a process of analysis of the characters,
Tarantino went straight to his idea, and
defending it to the hilt. On the other
hand, faithful to his mesh-up, the film has
managed to insert the Nordic myths in a
western movie, without too much trouble. To those who accuse him of exploit

stories are born from his experiences,
and usually Tarantino does not lie.

it is also thanks to this type of training,
eclectic, unconventional, detached from
fixed rules, that he became the best pen
of Hollywood. For many years there were

Saturday Night Fever, has found the success dancing and killing in Pulp Fiction.
Uma Thurman has brought to the screen
a female heroine never seen before, only
armed with katana and revenge. Brad
Pitt stuck in the role of " the beautiful"
becomes a true "bad", and Jamie Foxx
became the Django par excellence, followed by our Franco Nero, directed by
Sergio Corbucci.
Lately Tarantino said he would like to
stop at the tenth movie: «Directors don’t
get better as they get older. Usually the
worst films in their filmography are those
last four at the end. I am all about my
filmography, and one bad film fucks up
three good ones. When directors get
out-of-date, it’s not pretty». And again:
«In a fanciful world, 10 movies in my fil-
mography would be nice. I’ve made seven. If I have a change of heart, if I come
up with a new story, I could come back.
But if I stop at 10, that would be okay as
an artistic statement».
We hope that the temptation to the retirement is just a passing phase on the vision of his future. The cinema needs Tarantino, as Tarantino needs the cinema.
And we, the audience, need both.

Shakira, al secolo Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, si guadagna anche l’attenzione delle menti più brillanti al
mondo e riesce ad andare ben oltre
dall’essere un fenomeno pop. La bella
36enne colombiana, ha decisamente
qualcosa di più della semplice popstar.
Tribale e sanguigna, il termine “latina” le stava stretto, ma, parlando
del successo planetario della sua
Waka Waka, vincitrice di molteplici dischi di platino e d’oro, dichiara:
«Se quest’anno il sole per me ha iniziato
a splendere come mai aveva fatto prima,
penso che sia proprio merito di Waka
Waka: il suo successo mi ha riconciliato

beyond being a pop phenomenon. The beautiful Colombian 36year old has definitely something more than being a simple pop
star.
Tribal and sanguine, the term "Latin" was too narrow for her, but,
speaking of the worldwide success of her Waka Waka, winner
of multiple platinum and gold awards, said: «If this year the sun
began to shine for me as never before, I
think it’s due to Waka Waka success that
reconciled me with myself. Now I find myself smiling a lot more than before, and
I finally know what is my true identity as
an artist. Until a short time ago, the label

many songs in her pocket already written at the age of 8. The
passion for singing and music leads her to record her first disc
in 1991, at the age of 14. Magia, published by Sony Music Colombia, gains decent approvals from critics and audience and
she impose it to the attention of the experts. As a true fan of
rock music, especially the Police, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin in the
course of her career, she launches into challenges, she engages
in various genres of music ranging from
folk to pop commercial, until reaching,
indeed, the ropes of rock. Her first record in Spanish, including Pies descalzos
e Donde estan los ladrones?, are a mix
of folk and rock typically Latin American.
But the record of breakthrough is Laundry Service, a mix of pop and rock with an

sulla canzone in lingua camerunense del 1986 Zangalewa del
gruppo Golden Sounds. Alle critiche dei sudafricani sul fatto che
la canzone ufficiale non fosse interpretata da un artista locale,
Shakira ha risposto dicendo che «i mondiali sono un evento globale che connette i paesi, le religioni e le condizioni in un’unica

Waka Waka (litterally "walk, walk"), played by Shakira with the
South African group Freshlyground and chosen as the official
anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2010, is based on the Cameroon

To the critics of South Africans about the fact that the official
song was not played by a local artist, Shakira responded by saying that «the FIFA World Cup is a global event that connects

Dna: figlia del Beatle Paul, Stella McCartney ha creato il
suo primo abito a 12 anni e ha cominciato a lavorare nel
mondo della moda a 15 partecipando alla realizzazione della collezione dello stilista francese Christian Lacroix. Merito del nome? A
sentire cosa afferma lei stessa non proprio: «Essere la figlia di uno dei
Beatles è stato un buon punto di partenza, ma dopo anni nel mondo della
moda credo di avere dimostrato qualcosa». E a osservare i suoi successi
non si può dire il contrario. Dopo gli studi al Central Saint Martins
College of Art and Design ha lavorato per varie case di moda tra cui
Chloè e Gucci e ha prodotto una linea sportiva per il marchio Adidas. Stella McCartney, classe 1971, moglie e madre di quattro bimbi,

A
rtista senza tempo ed estro ribelle: ancora
oggi Keith Haring, il più celebre graffitista
di tutti i tempi, fa parlare di sé. In mostra
fino al 18 agosto presso il Musee d’Art Moderne de
la Ville de Paris, le opere che hanno reso l’artista celebre in tutto il mondo.
La sua arte prende ispirazione direttamente dai fumetti e dalla cultura commerciale. Si affaccia al mondo della pittura negli anni ’70, periodo in cui dà libero sfogo al suo lato ribelle attraverso l’uso di droghe
e alcool e ascoltando i Led Zeppelin e i Beatles. La
svolta stilistica si ha nel 1978, quando espone le sue
opere per la prima volta all’Arts and Crafts Center di
Pittsburgh e decide, subito dopo, di tentare il grande
salto trasferendosi a New York.
Nella grande Mela la sua arte si concretizza e prende forma: rielabora le figure dell’infanzia (da Walt
Disney ai suoi ricordi di bambino) trasformandole
in negativo. Secondo la sua visione il mondo futuro
può solo rovinare la purezza di quello che “è stato”: la
generazione degli anni ’80 è sopraffatta dal consumismo e dal sesso. Rappresenta tutto questo attraverso
l’unione di icone contradditorie, mettendo tutto a
confronto. «Io dipingo quadri che rappresentano la mia
ricerca. Lascio agli altri il compito di decifrarli, di capirne i
simboli e le loro implicazioni – dichiara l’artista – io sono
solo un intermediario».
Ben presto si rende conto di aver contratto il virus
dell’HIV, ma la malattia non placa il suo slancio creativo, anzi, lo alimenta. Incrementa i viaggi, lasciando una traccia artistica del suo passaggio ovunque si
trovi e sperimenta nuovi soggetti, più crudi, segno
tangibile che la morte rappresenta da questo momento una costante della sua vita. Opere predominanti dell’ultimo Haring Silence=Death e le stampe
ad edizione limitata Apocalypse e The Valley. Prima di
spegnersi il 16 febbraio del 1990 lascia il suo ultimo
omaggio alla vita, il murales Tuttomondo, dipinto sulla
facciata della chiesa di Sant’Antonio a Pisa.

imeless artist and rebellious inspiration: Keith
Haring, the most famous graffiti artist of all time,
is back again. On display until August, 18th at the
Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the works that
made the artist famous all over the world.
His art takes inspiration directly from comics and commercial culture. It overlooks to the manner of painting
in the '70s, when he gave free vent to his rebellious side
through the use of drugs and alcohol and listening to
Led Zeppelin and the Beatles. The stylistic turning point
occurs in 1978, when he exhibited his works for the first
time at the Arts and Crafts Center in Pittsburgh and decided, soon after, to try the big leap and moved to New
York.
In the Big Apple his art is put into effect and takes form:
reworks the figures of childhood (from Walt Disney to
his childhood memories) turning into negative. According to his vision of the future world that can only
spoil the purity of what "has been": the generation of
the 80s overwhelmed by consumerism and sex. This is
represented through the union of contradictory icons,
putting them all in comparison. «I make paintings that
represent my research. I leave to others the assignment
to decipher, to understand the symbols and their implications – asserts the artist – I'm just an intermediary».

his artistic passage wherever he goes, and experiments

is, by now, a constant in his life. Preponderant works of
the last Haring Silence = Death and the limited-edition
prints Apocalypse and The Valley. Before pass away on
February, 16 in 1990, he left his final tribute to life, the
mural Tuttomondo, painted on the facade of the church
of Saint Anthony in Pisa.

o sci non è uno sport per teneri: occorrono nervi
saldi e voglia di primeggiare. «Nello sci può succedere
di tutto. Il tracciato cambia ogni volta e il rischio di cadere esiste per tutti, anche per i migliori, quelli la cui vittoria a
volte sembra perfino scontata». Un ragazzo con i piedi per terra
che sa quello vuole e come conquistarlo e che, nonostante
i successi ottenuti, non si è montato la testa: ama le cose
semplici e si diverte senza eccessi.
Classe 1985, Matteo Marsaglia è considerato la nuova
promessa del discesismo italiano. Esordisce nel mondo dello sci il 22 gennaio 2000 partecipando ad uno slalom speciale organizzato dalla FIS (Federazione Italiana Sciistica)
a Tignes, piazzandosi alla 62esima posizione. Un risultato
eccellente trattandosi di un esordiente. Il traguardo che
gli permette di entrare nell’olimpo dei campioni lo taglia
però due anni dopo, nel 2003, a Sarentino, dove si laurea
campione nazionale di categoria supergigante. Continua la
sua corsa al podio con la Coppa Europa del 2008 aggiu-
dicandosi il sedicesimo posto nella supercombinata della
Val d’Isère in Francia; prosegue nel 2009 a Travisio, conquistando il titolo di campione nazionale di discesa sulla pista
di La Thuile; nel 2012 si aggiudica inoltre il titolo italiano
in Super-G a Roccaraso; corona infine il sogno di ogni sportivo con la vittoria in Coppa del Mondo nella categoria supergigante, tenutasi sulle piste di Birds of Prey di Beaver
Creek (Colorado).
Una passione contagiosa quella della famiglia Marsaglia per
le piste innevate: anche la sorella Francesca è una campionessa in questa disciplina, tanto che nel 2007 entra a far
parte della nazionale femminile.

S
kiing is not a sport for tender people: it needs nerves of steel and desire to stand
out. «In skiing anything can happen. The route changes each time and the risk of
falling exists for everyone, even for the best, those whose victory sometimes even
seems obvious». A guy with his feet on the ground who knows what he wants and how
to conquer it and, despite the successes, has not become full of himself: he loves and
enjoys the simple things in the simple way.
Born in 1985, Matteo Marsaglia is considered the new promise of Italian skiing. He made
his debut in the world of skiing on January,22 in 2000 participating in one slalom organized by the FIS (Federation of Italian Ski Resort) in Tignes, placing at the 62nd position.
An excellent result being a rookie. The goal that allows him to enter the Olympus of
champions, however, two years later, in 2003, in Sarentino, where he graduated as national champion of super- G category. He continues his race to the podium with the
European Cup in 2008, winning the sixteenth place in the super combined in Val d'Isére
in France, then with Travisio in 2009, winning the title of national champion down on the
runway at La Thuile, in 2012 he won also the Italian title in super-g in Roccaraso, crowning finally the dream of every athlete with the victory in the World Cup super-G in the
category, held on the slopes of Birds of Prey in Beaver Creek (Colorado).
So many interests for Matteo, but none of them can tarnish his first love: skiing. An
infectious passion for the Marsaglia family the snowy slopes: his sister Francesca is a
champion in this sport, so much that in 2007 became part of the national women team.

Come nasce la passione per lo sci?
Sicuramente un po’ di merito va a mio padre. Per trent’anni ha
fatto l’allenatore di sci, quindi era inevitabile che ci appassionassimo a questo sport, anche se inizialmente eravamo molto
combattuti anche con il tennis. Mia madre è infatti una tennista,
ma non abbiamo praticato questa disciplina a livelli agonistici,
alla fine ho riconosciuto la mia vocazione nello sci.
C’è un modello a cui ti ispiri?
Come molti ragazzi della mia generazione uno sciatore che
apprezzo e stimo è sicuramente Alberto Tomba. Seguendo le
sue imprese mi sono appassionato ulteriormente a questa disciplina.
La tua specialità è il supergigante. In cosa senti di doverti
migliorare?
ll supergigante è sempre stata la mia disciplina per eccellenza,
fin da ragazzo. Mi piace perché puoi fare grandi curve ad alta
velocità. Ovviamente devo migliorare anche in questo, anche
se nei tratti più tecnici trovo il mio punto di forza.
Prossimi traguardi?
Il primo obiettivo è sicuramente quello di riuscire a chiudere
positivamente la stagione nella mia specialità, il super-g, mentre per l’anno prossimo il desiderio è sicuramente quello di poter partecipare alle Olimpiadi, un’impresa ardua essendoci a
disposizione solo quattro posti.
Il rivale per eccellenza?
Non un rivale ma un compagno di strada che mi sprona a migliorare: Innerhofer. Non lo definirei un avversario, siamo nella
stessa squadra e i suoi successi sono uno stimolo per cercare
di far meglio.

Where it come from this passion for skiing?
Definitely a little credit goes to my father. For thirty years, he
was a skiing coach, so it was inevitable that we become fond of
this sport, although initially we were very torn with the tennis.
My mother is, in fact, a tennis player, but we have not practiced
this discipline at competitive levels, I finally recognized my vocation in skiing.
Is there a model that inspires you?
Like many kids of my generation a skier who I appreciate and
esteem is certainly Alberto Tomba. Following his endeavors, I
got into this sport.
Your specialty is the super-G. In what field you need to
improve?
The super-G has always been my discipline, par excellence, as
a kid. I like it because you can do great curves at high speed.
Obviously I need to improve in this, even if in the most technical segments, I find my strength.
My big desire for the next year
is to partecipate in the Olympic
Game, a difficult task as there
have only four seats
Next goals?
The first goal is certainly to be able to close successfully the
season in my specialty, super-G, while for next year is definitely
the desire to be able to participate in the Olympics Game, a

Not a rival but a fellow who encourages me to improve: Innerhofer. I would not call him a opponent, we are on the same
team and his successes are an incentive to try to do better.

er il suo centenario Aston Martin si regala un gioiellino nuovo di zecca: non bisogna infatti farsi fuorviare dal nome ma
la nuova Rapide S non è una semplice variazione sportiva del
modello precedente, bensì una vettura evoluta che nasconde nuovi e
importanti aggiornamenti all’interno delle sue morbide curve.
La macchina è stata presentata in anteprima al Salone di Ginevra e
il presidente della Aston Martin l’ha definita la «sportiva quattro porte
più bella del mondo».
Oltre all’estetica, è stato curato anche l’aspetto aerodinamico: il
frontale presenta infatti una nuova griglia di grandi dimensioni e un
inedito splitter inferiore, mentre nel posteriore spiccano lo spoiler
integrato nel portellone e un diffusore modificato.
Lunga poco più di 5 metri, la vettura è alta 1 metro e 35 centimetri
ed è dotata di un potente motore V12 aspirato di 5,9 litri, capace di
erogare 558 CV a 6.750 giri, il 17% in più rispetto alla precedente
versione. Il V12 consente alla berlina di toccare una velocità di punta

Abbinato al propulsore c’è il cambio sequenziale a 6

The car was presented at the Geneva
Motor Show and the Aston Martin chairman called it the «world's most beautiful
four-door sports».
In addition to aesthetics, the work implicates of course also the streamlined

Pizza di Pasqua al formaggio
PREPARAZIONE
Per cominiciare fate sciogliere il lievito di birra
nell’acqua tiepida insieme a un cucchiaio di zucchero
per alcuni minuti (6-7 minuti sono sufficienti).
Ponete la farina di tipo 0 e la manitoba in una grande
ciotola, aggiungete il lievito fermentato, amalgamate
poco e lasciate riposare per 40 minuti. Mentre la pasta riposa, in una seconda ciotola unite le uova sbattute, il pepe e i formaggi precedentemente grattugiati.
È importante che i formaggi siamo stati grattugiati
finemente e che le uova siano state sbattute a lungo.
Unite alla pasta il composto di uova, pepe e formaggio e iniziate ad impastare. La fase di impastamento
è fondamentale per la buona resa della pizza al formaggio: lavorate la pasta senza timidezza finché non
risulterà elastica e morbida nelle vostre mani. Unite a
questo punto lo strutto e lavorate per 5 minuti.
A questo punto formate una grande palla di pasta liscia, ponetela nell’apposita teglia (la teglia per la torta
di formaggio deve essere svasata e con bordo molto
alto: altezza cm. 12, base inferiore cm. 16, base superiore cm. 21) che avrete precedentemente unto con
olio o burro e lasciare riposare per quasi un’ora. Il
luogo ideale per far lievitare è il vostro forno tenendo
accesa la luce. La lievitazione dovrà portare l’impasto
fino al bordo della teglia. Raggiunto il bordo, ponete un piccolo contenitore di alluminio con dell’acqua
accanto alla vostra teglia e portate il forno a 200°C,
per un’ora. Verificate la cottura con lo stuzzicadenti
Attenzione a non far scurire la torta: il risultato deve
essere un impasto asciutto, ma non imbrunito.
Ottima da servire con uova sode e salame.

L
a regina della tavola della colazione di Pasqua: la pizza al
formaggio. Conosciuta anche come Torta, nel perugino, o
Crescia nella zona di Gubbio.
La ricetta appartiene alla tradizione del centro Italia, ma oggi sono
tante le tavole del Bel Paese che hanno fatto propria questa saporitissima ricetta umbra.
Originariamente la torta veniva preparata in uno stampo di coccio
dai bordi molto alti, la cottura avveniva nel forno a legna e si utilizzava esclusivamente formaggio pecorino. Inoltre la tradizione popolare prevedeva l’uso del lievito madre e di uova di origine diversa,
non solo uova di gallina come, invece, si usa fare oggi. Queste differenze portavano a un torta molto più pesante e compatta di quella a
cui siamo abituati. Egualmente profumata e gustosa, però.
Tra le tante varianti di questa ricetta, la migliore che abbiamo testato e che vi consigliamo è questa.

known as Torta (pie) in Perugia, or Crescia in the area of
Gubbio.
The recipe belongs to the central Italy tradition, but today there are
many tables of the beautiful country that have adopted this tasty
recipe from Umbria region.
Originally the cake was cooked in a mold of crock with the edges
very high, the cooking was done in the wood-oven, and they used
exclusively pecorino cheese. In addition, as a popular tradition, they must use the yeast base and eggs of different
origin, not only chicken egg, how is done today. These
differences led to a cake very heavy and compact than
the today’s one. But equally fragrant and tasty, though.
Among the many variations of this recipe, the best we've
tested and we recommend is this one.
PREPARAtion
Start to melt the yeast in the warm water
along with a tablespoon of sugar for a
few minutes (6-7 minutes is sufficient).

hanno appannato. Il fascino della storia e della cultura, dei templi e dei palazzi, delle statue
e della natura, delle isole e dei monasteri. La Grecia è un
paese che riesce ad offrire a ogni viaggiatore il volto che
desidera trovare: dall’archeologia al relax, dalla natura alla
mondanità. Perché la Grecia sa essere ancora oggi ciò che
la storia le ha consentito di diventare, secolo dopo secolo.
Pochi posti al mondo regalano emozioni profonde come il
lento salire verso Delfi, luogo sacro, dove Apollo parlava
attraverso i responsi della sacerdotessa Pizia: ai piedi del
monte Parnaso, ogni coscienza, anche quelle più rigidamente laiche, vengono chiamate a riflettere sulla presenza
di Dio, di qualunque Dio. Poche isole al mondo hanno in
sé la potenza di una storia immortale come le isole Greche.
Foscolo cantò Zante: scrisse un sonetto nel 1803 e generazioni di studenti lo hanno imparato a memoria, ne hanno
parlato agli esami. Visitare Zante oggi significa anche questo: tornare con la mente a quei giorni di scuola. La Zacinto
di Ugo Foscolo è la Zante di oggi. La sempre bella isola
di Zante si rispecchia nell’acque del mar Ionio, oggi come
ieri. E la poesia di quei versi si può ritrovare ancora in un
momento di solitudine sulle sponde dell’isola a farsi cullare
dal ricordo di quei giorni spensierati tra i banchi di scuola…
E questa poesia, questo fascino, questo dono unico di tornare scolari è prerogativa esclusiva delle isole greche.
Roma - Cefalonia

Non lontano da Zante, c’è Cefalonia e le due isole possono
essere visitate insieme, diventano una perfetta combinazione di viaggio. Cefalonia si trova poco più a nord e non ha
nulla da invidiare alla magia della prima. è la più grande tra
le Ionie e offre al turista un ambiente naturale particolarissimo: le caverne sotteranee e il bosco naturale del Monte Enos che si erge maestoso e lo si può vedere da diverse
miglia. I suoi boschi ospitano l’abete nero che trova il suo
habitat solamente su questa isola feconda, com’è fecondo il
suo mare. è tristemente nota, Cefalonia, per l’eccidio della
divisione Acqui dell’Esercito italiano avvenuto da parte dei
tedeschi durante la Seconda guerra mondiale: la storia venne proposta anche in televisione, con un film interpretato,
fra gli altri, da Luca Zingaretti.
Già dalla primavera, la Grecia è soprattutto il mare incantato delle isole, più vicine o più lontane, che guardano la
costa adriatica o quella turca. Un campionario inesauribile
di possibilità, piccoli scogli deserti, quasi senza vegetazione

La cucina greca non gode di grande fama. Però custodisce tesori interessanti, fondati su un modo semplice di preparazione che tiene insieme elementi orientali e
mediterranei. Prima di mangiare, si beve solitamente l’ouzo, l’anice, spesso allungato con acqua. I piatti tradizionali e più conosciuti sono la mousaka, fatta con
melanzane, besciamella e carne trita; souvlaki, spiedi di carne d’agnello o di maiale,
dolmades, foglie di vite e di cavolo farcite con carne trita e riso, taramosalata, insalata di pesce, la tipica insalata greca, con foglie di verdura, pomodori, olive e la feta,
tipico formaggio piuttosto salato.

del Messico. Tra Yucatan e Chiapas, che forse meglio di altri stati custodiscono i segreti di questo
affascinante popolo.
Pochi luoghi al mondo scolpiscono l’anima come Chichen Itza. Sede archeologica misteriosa non
ancora del tutto decifrata, tra sacrifici umani e gioco delle pelota. E il raggio magico del sole che
nei due equinozi anima un serpente che non esiste ma che si vede scivolare lungo la scalinata
del Castillo, la meravigliosa piramide di Kukulkan. Arrampicarsi non è facile, perché i gradini,
come sempre nelle piramidi messicane, sono piccoli e stretti: ma quando si arriva in cima, lo
spettacolo è straordinario. Più piccolo ma altrettanto celebre il sito di Uxmal, famoso per la
bellezza dei suoi edifici e per le decorazioni.

Numerosi i luoghi calcati da questa popolazione all’interno dei due stati: di particolare importanza San Juan Chamula, San Andrés Larráinzar, Tenejapa e San Pedro Chenalhó, cittadine situate nel Chiapas. Da non perdere, in particolare, la
celebrazione del patrono San Juan Chamula (San Giovanni Battista) – dal 22 al 25
Giugno – che la comunità Tzotzil, antenata dei maya, onora con balli e danze. Di
egual importanza anche San Andrés Larráinzar, dove è situato un villaggio Tzotzil
celebre per le sue stoffe pregiate. A Tenejapa si va invece per il mercato del giovedì: stoffe, manufatti, cibi e molte altre testimonianze della cultura maya sono
rintracciabili al suo interno. Come
ogni cittadina messicana che si rispetti
anche Tenajapa ha il suo santo patrono: San Ildefonso che si festeggia il 23
gennaio. A San Pedro Chenalhó, invece, è famoso il mercato del sabato. Ma

he Maya poetry called it Sian Ka'An, "the place
where the sky arises". UNESCO declared it a
World Heritage Site and today (guided tour) is
an ecosystem of tropical forests and lagoons populated by rare monkeys and jaguars, crocodiles and iguanas. Very close to Tulum, between turquoise sea and
archeology. Those who love history and Maya legends
have to come here, in the sunny lands of Mexico. Between Yucatan and Chiapas, perhaps the better place
that guards the secrets of this fascinating people.
Few places in the world will carve the soul as Chichen
Itza. Registered as mysterious archaeological site not
yet fully deciphered, among human sacrifices and the

game of pelota. And the magical sun ray in the two
equinoxes give life to a snake that does not exist but it
can be seen sliding down the stairway of the Castillo,
the beautiful pyramid of Kukulkan. Climbing there is
not easy, because the steps, as always in the Mexican
pyramids, are small and narrow, but when you reach
the top, the view is amazing. Smaller, but equally famous, is the site of Uxmal, famous for the beauty of its
buildings and decorations.
Many places are trodden by this population within the
two states: particularly San Juan Chamula, San Andrés
Larráinzar, Tenejapa and San Pedro Chenalho, towns
located in Chiapas. Do not miss, in particular, the celebration of the patron saint San Juan Chamula (John
the Baptist) – June, 22 to June, 25 – that the Tzotzil
community, ancestor of the Maya, honors with dances
and music. Of equal importance San Andrés Larráinzar, where there is a Tzotzil village famous for its luxurious fabrics. While you go to Tenejapa for the Thursday
market: textiles, manufactured goods, food and many
other proofs of Mayan culture can be traced in it. Like
any self-respecting Mexican town, also Tenajapa has
its own patron saint: San Ildefonso, celebrated on January, 23. In San Pedro Chenalho, however, is famous
the Saturday market. But everywhere, they tackle with
a toast also considered a trial of courage: drink a little of Mezcal, liquor considered the cousin of tequila,
enriched by the presence of a gusanito in the bottom
of the bottle, a nice warm. It is the gift for those who
drink the last sip or pay for all. The worm must be "seasoned" with a little 'paprika: crisp and rough. It gives
years of good luck. For those who believe it.

Con oltre un centinaio di lavori realizzati fra il 1972 e il
1985, anno della prematura morte di Ana Mendieta, Torino rende omaggio all'artista cubana con She got Love,
una grande retrospettiva al Castello di Rivoli. Anticipatrice di forme artistiche innovative che spaziano dalla performance al video, dalla body art alla fotografia e dall’autoritratto alla scultura, Ana Mendieta ha utilizzato diversi
linguaggi espressivi per raccontare l'identità femminile.
Vita e morte, violenza, amore, sesso, rinascita e sradicamento sono i temi principali di cui si è servita l'artista per
descrivere un mondo in cui elemento umano e divino
convergono. Il tutto arricchito dai riferimenti geografici

untimely death of Ana Mendieta, Turin pays tribute to the Cuban artist
with She got Love, a major retrospective at the Rivoli Castel. Forerunner
of innovative art forms ranging from performance to video, from body
art to photography and from self-portrait to sculpture, Ana Mendieta
used different languages of expression to describe the female identity.
Life and death, violence, love, sex, rebirth and eradication are the main
themes used by the artist to describe a world in which human and divine
element converge. All enriched by geographical references – United
States, Mexico, Italy and, of course, Cuba – where Mendieta has lived.

nella storia del cinema, ma all'epoca il regista non era così apprezzato.
Ci vollero Francoise Truffaut e la politica degli autori iniziata negli anni
'60 alla corte di Bazin per far apprezzare il lavoro di Alfred Hitchcock
anche ai critici che fino ad allora bollavano il suo lavoro come troppo
popolare e quindi poco interessante. Sta di fatto che, con Psycho, Alfred Hitchcock proibì una pratica allora poco comune: entrare in sala
dopo l'inizio del film. A quel tempo, infatti, si poteva entrare al cinema
in qualsiasi momento.
Grande battage mediatico e una storia strepitosa resero il film una pietra miliare del cinema. Il regista ha dichiarato la sua volontà di portare
sullo schermo un'esplorazione drammatica di quello che si stava muovendo dentro l'animo e dentro la sua mente durante la lavorazione di
Psycho. Imperdibile per tutti gli amanti del regista.

pellicola troviamo “il Mandarino” – un
Ben Kingsley davvero spietato – leader
di un gruppo di terroristi, che metterà
Iron Man in guai davvero seri, andando
a colpire la sua quotidianità e la sua intimità. La cara Pepper Pot, interpretata da

film we find “the Mandarin" – a really ruthless Ben Kingsley
– leader of a group of terrorists, who put Iron Man in serious
troubles, going to hit his daily life and his privacy. The dear
Pepper Pot, played by Gwyneth Paltrow, is kidnapped and the
lifelong friend, Rhodey, will wear a new armor to help Iron Man
in trouble. Converted in 3D to give the audience an experience more captivating, the film will be released in the United
States only in May. A renovated (and destroyed) armor for Iron
Man, which will find the mantra of the film: "one cannot judge
by appearances - or not?" Like a real obstacle to overcome.
Never mind: the Disney movie, with a super-hero like Iron Man,
now in its third edition on the big screens around the world,
can only confirm its strength.

cambia la formazione di accompagnatori con cui aveva collaborato nel precedente lavoro, il successo Suno Sono (2011).
Infatti, Continuos Beat gode della partecipazione di jazzisti di

All electronic devices, including mobile phones, must be switched off whenever
the “fasten seat sign” is on for taxi, take off and landing. During the cruise phase
the use of cd, dvd, mp3 player, videogames and portable computer is permitted
as long as the wireless connection is disabled. Mobile phones can be used, when
airborne, only if the “in-flight mode” has been selected on ground.

Sometimes you “biological clock” may not welcome the time changes involved
in air travel and it finds ways of letting you know about this. Some of the most
common symptoms are a sense of weariness, difficulty in falling asleep at night
and appetite loss. To minimize jet lag effects, make sure you get a good night
sleep before leaving and, if you plan to stay abroad less than two days, keep you
biological clock set on your home time (i.e. keep your regular eating and sleeping
habits). In the event of a longer trip, it is advisable to get used to local time as
soon as possible and to conduct a regular and healthy life. Remember that getting over jet lag is generally quicker when travelling westwards than eastwards.

To help you feel better when you fly with us, just follow these
tips and suggestions designed to enhance your well being on
board
Stare a lungo seduti in una stessa posizione può farvi sentire a
disagio sull’aereo. Sgranchitevi gambe e braccia ogni due ore
circa. Alzatevi di tanto in tanto e camminate su e giù per il corridoio oppure fate i semplici esercizi* di stretching illustrati per
prevenire problemi circolatori.
Prolonged sitting in a fixed position can make you feel uncomfortable in the plane. Every few hours, stretch your arms and legs
or carry out some easy exercises* suggested below.
Consumate pasti leggeri, mangiate con moderazione e limitare
bevande gassate, tè e caffè.
Eat a light meal and moderate you intake of fizzy drinks, tea and
coffee.
Bevete molta acqua naturale, meglio se in piccole quantità e
spesso.
Drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated.
Moderate il consumo di bevande alcoliche, poiché queste sono
assorbite più facilmente dal corpo ad alta quota a causa della
bassa pressione dell’aria all’interno della cabina.
Moderate your intake of alcohol.
In caso di permanenza prolungata a bordo è consigliato sostituire le lenti a contatto con degli occhiali per evitare irritazioni
oculari. Togliete sempre le lenti a contatto prima di dormire.
In case of a long flight it is recommended to wear eyeglasses
rather than contact lenses. Remove contact lenses before sleeping.
*Vi suggeriamo di sospendere immediatamente questi esercizi
se causano dolore o disagio.

you feel pain or discomfort.

Iniziate gli esercizi stando seduti in modo comodo ed eretto.
Start the exercise by sitting in comfortably in your seat in an upright position.

Poggiate entrambi i piedi sul pavimento. Flettete i piedi puntando i talloni in su e poi in giù. Ripetete per cinque volte.
Rest both feet on the floor. Flex both feet with toes pointing
upward, then point your toes downward Perform this exercise
five times.

Sollevate dolcemente il ginocchio verso il busto per alcuni secondi, poi lasciatelo andare, poggiando nuovamente il piede
sul pavimento. Fate lo stesso con l’altra gamba. Ripetete cinque
volte per gamba.
Raise you knee gently towards the chest for a few seconds and
then release, placing your feet back on the floor. Continue with
the other leg. Repeat five times for each leg.

Mettete le mani sotto una coscia e sollevatele dolcemente verso il busto. Ruotate la caviglia in modo circolare per 5 secondi.
Ripetete con l’altra gamba. Ripetete questo esercizio cinque
volte per gamba.
Place your hands under one thigh, and gently lift toward your
chest. Rotate your ankle in a circular motion for 5 seconds. Repeat with the other leg. Perform this exercise five times with
both legs.
