1.
INTENDED USE
This liquid handling device is designed and manufactured to be used with
the IVD-product as an IVD-accessory and as a stand alone laboratory
equipment.
2.
YOUR NEW BIOHIT PROLINE CHARGING
STAND/CAROUSEL
The Biohit Proline Charging Stand and Carousel are bench top charging
units. The stand accommondates one and the carousel four Biohit Proline
Electronic pipettors.

INSTALLING THE CHARGING STAND/CAROUSEL
1. Carousel: Connect the 4-place charging head by pressing it into the
stand base connector. Test the free rotation (Fig. 1A).
2. Carousel: Connect the plug into the connector under the charging
carousel (Fig. 1A) and lead the AC-adaptor cable through the cable
guide.
Stand: Connect the plug into the connector at the rear of the charging
stand (Fig. 1C).

3. Before connecting the AC-adaptor to your electrical outlet (Fig. 1B
and 1C), make sure that the voltage setting corresponds to the correct
voltage from your electrical outlet and that the type of the AC-adaptor
is compatible with your electrical outlet.
4. The green light on the front of the charging head(s) of the stand/carousel
indicates it is in operation.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS
AC-adaptor:
• Input voltage and mains plug according to local requirements
• Output voltage 9 VDC
Note: To guarantee optimal charging, do not use any other than the original
Biohit AC-adaptor.
5.
USE OF THE CHARGING STAND/CAROUSEL
The Biohit Proline Charging Stand/Carousel is
intended to be used only with Biohit Proline Electronic
pipettors. Place the pipettor into the upper-most
position of the charging head to ensure proper
magnetic locking and optimal charging (Fig 2).
To access the desired pipettor from the charging
carousel, rotate the carousel using the knob on the
top of the unit.

MAINTENANCE
The Biohit Proline Charging Stand/Carousel is practically maintenance free.
When the stand/carousel is used according to the instructions given in this
manual, only regular cleaning of the stand/carousel is needed to ensure
trouble-free operation. To clean the charging stand/carousel use a clean
cloth and mild detergent.
7. WARRANTY INFORMATION
Biohit Proline Charging Stand/Carousel is warranted for two years (except
the battery) against defects in materials and workmanship. Should it fail
to function in any way during this period of time, please contact your local
Biohit representative immediately. The warranty will not cover defects

caused by normal wear or by using the stand/carousel in a manner contrary
to the instructions given in this manual. The stands/carousels are CE
marked, fulfilling the reguirements of the EN 55014, 1993/EN 55104, 1995/
ISO 13485: 2003 and IVD Directive (98/79/EC).
Each Biohit Proline Charging Stand/Carousel is tested before shipping by
the manufacturer. The Quality Assurance Procedure is your quarantee that
the Biohit Proline Charging Stand/Carousel you have purchased is ready
for use.
8.
RECYCLING INSTRUCTION (WEEE)
In compliance with European Directive, WEEE (2002/96EC) on
waste and reducting of hazardous substances in electical and
electronic equipments, this device must not be recycled as
unsorted municipal waste. Instead this device must be collected
separately in accordance the local recycling regulations. The
solid bar used in conjuction with the crossed-out wheeled bin
indicates that the product was put on the European market
after 13 August 2005.

DER GEBRAUCHSZWECK
Dieses Liquid Handling Instrument wurde konstruiert und produziert für
den bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch im Labor, zur Verwendung als IVDProdukt oder als ein IVD-Zubehörteil.
2.
IHR BIOHIT PROLINE LADESTÄNDER/LADEKARUSSELL
Ihr Biohit Proline Ladeständer/Ladekarussell ergänzt Ihre elektronischen
Pipetten. Er dient gleichzeitig als Ständer und Ladestation für Ihre Pipetten.
Der Ladeständer dient zur Aufbewahrung von einer, und das Karussell zur
Aufbewahrung von vier elektronischen Pipetten.

INBETRIEBNAHME BIOHIT PROLINE LADESTÄNDER/
LADEKARUSSELL
1. Karussell: Verbinden Sie den 4-Platz Ladekopf mit dem Ladefuss,
indem Sie das Oberteil in die vorgesehene Öffnung des Ladefusses
stecken (Abb. 1A).
2. Karussell: Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Buchse des Karussells und
legen Sie die Trafoschnur in die Kabelführung (Abb. 1A).

Ladeständer: Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Buchse des Ladeständers
(Abb. 1C).
3. Bevor Sie den Trafo ans Netz anschließen (Abb. 1B+1C), prüfen Sie bitte
ob die auf dem Transformer angegebene Netzspannung mit der Ihres
Labors, übereinstimmt, und ob der Stecker in die Steckdose passt.
4. Das grüne Licht auf der Vorderseite der Ladeköpfe zeigt an, ob der
Ladeständer oder das Ladekarussell in Betrieb ist.
4.
ELEKTRISCHE SPEZIFIKATIONEN
Wechselstrom-Trafo:
• Eingangsspannung: gemäß den lokalen Anforderungen
• Ausgangsspannung: 9V Wechselstrom
Achtung: Damit eine optimale Funktion des Ladeständers/Ladekarussells
gewährleistet ist, sollten Sie nur original Biohit Trafos verwenden.
5.
BEDIENUNG DES LADESTÄNDERS/LADEKARUSSELLS
Der Biohit Proline Ladeständer und das Lade-karussell
sind ausschließlich zur Verwendung mit elektronischen
Biohit Proline Pipetten konstruiert worden. Die
Pipette wird so hoch wie möglich in den Ladekopf
des Ständers, bzw. in die Ladeköpfe des Karussells
gehängt und durch den eingebauten Magnet fixiert;
achten Sie also auf festen Sitz (Abb.2).
Um die gewünschte Pipette zu entnehmen, drehen
Sie das Karussell an dem Griff/Knopf, der oben
angebracht ist.

WARTUNG
Der Biohit Proline Ladeständer und das Ladekarussell sind praktisch
wartungsfrei. Ladeständer und Ladekarussell sollten entsprechend der
Bedienungsanleitung benutzt und regelmäßig gereinigt werden. Hierzu
benutzen Sie bitte ein sauberes Tuch und ein mildes Reinigungsmittel.
7.
GARANTIE
Biohit gewährt Ihnen 24 Monate (ab Kaufdatum, ausgenommen die
Batterie) Garantie, auf Material- und/oder Herstellungsfehler. Sollten Sie

in dieser Zeit Grund zur Beanstandung haben, informieren Sie uns bitte
unverzüglich oder kontaktieren Sie Ihren Biohit-Fachhändler. Schäden,
die aufgrund falscher Handhabung und normalen Verschleiß entstehen,
werden hierdurch nicht abgedeckt.
Ladeständer und Ladekarussell werden vor Versand einer strengen
Qualitätskontrolle unterzogen. Der Biohit Proline Ladeständer und das
Karussell besitzen das CE-Zeichen und erfüllt damit die Anforderungen
nach EN 55014, 1993/EN 55104, 1995/ISO 13485: 2003 und der IVD
Direktive (98/79/EC).
8.
VERWERTUNGSANWEISUNG (WEEE)
Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Europäischen Richtlinie
gemäss und zwar der EU-Elektroschrott Richtkinie WEEE
(2002/96EC) dieses Gerät als unsortierter städtischer Abfall
nicht wiederverwertet werder daft. Statt dessen soll dieses
Gerät in Übereinstimmung mit örtlichen Vorschiften getrennt
eingesammelt werden. Die Vollstange in Verbindung mit dem
in Rad durschgekreuzten Abfallbehälter weist darauf hin, dass
das Produkt auf dem Europäischen Markt nach dem 13. August 2005
platziert wurde.

Cet instrument de Manipulation de Liquide est conçu et fabriqué pour être
utilisé dans le cadre d’un produit « IVD », d’un accessoire « IVD » ou d’un
équipement autonome de laboratoire.
2.
VOTRE NOUVEAU CHARGEUR UNITAIRE/
CARROUSEL BIOHIT PROLINE
Le chargeur unitaire et carrousel sont des portoirs et postes de charge.
Le chargeur unitaire peut recevoir une pipette électronique Biohit Proline,
le chargeur carrousel peut recevoir quatre pipettes électroniques Biohit
Proline.

INSTALLATION DU CHARGEUR UNITAIRE/CARROUSEL
1. Carrousel : Connectez la tête 4 positions en l´emboîtant sur le pied du
chargeur carrousel. Vérifiez la bonne rotation de la tête (Fig. 1A).
2. Carrousel : Branchez la fiche mâle du transformateur dans la fiche
femelle située sous le pied du chargeur. Passez le câble de l´adaptateur
dans le guide prévu à cet effet (Fig. 1A).

Chargeur unitaire : Branchez la fiche mâle du transformateur dans la
fiche femelle située derrière le chargeur (Fig 1C).
3. Avant de brancher le transformateur sur le secteur (Fig. 1B et 1C),
assurez-vous que la tension de votre installation électrique est
compatible avec celle du transformateur.
4. La lumière verte, sur le devant de la tête de chargement, indique la mise
sous tension du chargeur.

• Tension de sortie 9 Volts
Note : Pour garantir un chargement optimal, utilisez uniquement les
transformateurs Biohit d´origine.
5.
UTILISATION DU CHARGEUR UNITAIRE/CARROUSEL
Le chargeur unitaire/carrousel ne doit être utilisé
qu´avec des pipettes Biohit Proline Electroniques.
Placez la pipette dans la tête du chargeur en s´assurant
de la bonne fixation magnétique pour un chargement
optimal (Fig.2).
Pour accéder à la pipette désirée sur le chargeur
carrousel, tournez la tête de ce dernier en utilisant la
poignée située sur le dessus du chargeur carrousel.

MAINTENANCE
Le chargeur unitaire/carrousel Biohit Proline ne nécessite pas d´entretien
particulier s´il est utilisé suivant les instructions données dans ce manuel.
Seul un nettoyage régulier des chargeurs est nécessaire pour assurer un
bon fonctionnement. Pour nettoyer les chargeurs, utilisez un chiffon propre
et un détergent doux.
7.
GARANTIE
Le chargeur unitaire/carrousel est garanti 2 ans (ll n’ya aucone garantie
pour des batteries) pièces et main d´oeuvre. Si durant cette période le
matériel tombe en panne, contactez immédiatement votre représentant

Biohit. La garantie ne couvrira pas les détériorations ou les pannes dues
à une utilisation contre-indiquée dans ce manuel. Les chargeurs Biohit
Proline sont conformes aux normes EN 55014, 1993/EN 55104, 1995/ISO
13485: 2003 et de la directive IVD (98/79/EC).
Chaque chargeur Biohit Proline est testé par le fabricant avant son envoi.
La procédure Assurance Qualité est votre garantie que les chargeurs Biohit
Proline que vous venez d´acquérir sont prêts à l´emploi.
8.
INSTRUCTION POUR LE RECYCLAGE (WEEE)
Selon les directive Européenne, DEEE (2002/96CE) sur
l’élimination et la réduction de substances dangereuses dans
les équipements électroniques et électriques, ces dispositifs
ne doivent pas être recyclés avec les déchets municipaux non
triés. Plutôt ces dispositifs doivent être recueilli isolément selon
les réglements locaux de recyclage. Le symbole d´une poubelle
sur roues, barrée d´une croix indique que le produit a été mis
sur le marché européen après le 13 août 2005.

USO ADECUADO
Este equipo de manejo de líquidos se ha diseñado y fabricado para ser
utilizado en calidad de accesorio IVD de un producto de Diagnóstico In
Vitro (IVD) y como equipo de laboratorio independiente.
2.
EL NUEVO CARGADOR/CARRUSEL DE LA LINEA BIOHIT
El Cargador/Carrusel de la línea Biohit funciona una como unidad de carga
y almacenamiento de las pipetas electrónicas. El Cargador acomoda una
pipeta electrónica Biohit Proline y el carrusel cuatro.

INSTALACION DEL CARGADOR/CARRUSEL
1. Carrusel: Situar el conector del cabezal de cuatro posiciones por
presión, dentro del conector de la base. Comprobar el ajuste por
rotación (Fig. 1A).
2. Carrusel: Enchufar el cable del AC- Adaptador por debajo de la base
del carrusel (Fig.1).
Cargador: Enchufar el cable del adaptador en la parte de posterior del
Cargador (Fig.1C).

3. Antes de conectar el AC-Adaptador a la corriente eléctrica (Fig.1B y 1C)
Aseguresé de que el voltaje de la corriente eléctrica se corresponde
con el voltaje del cargador y que el tipo de adaptador es compatible
con la corriente eléctrica.
4. La luz verde del frontal del cabezal del carrusel y del cargador nos
indica que el cargador está operativo.

5.
USO DEL CARGADOR / CARRUSEL
El Cargador/Carrusel Biohit solamente debe utilizarse
con las pipetas electrónicas Biohit. Situar la pipeta
dentro de su emplazamiento, en la parte superior
del cabezal del cargador asegurándose su bloqueo
magnético para una optima recarga (Fig. 2).
Para acceder a la pipeta deseada simplemente girar
el tirador del carrusel.
6.
MANTENIMIENTO

El cargador/carrusel practicamente no necesita ningún tipo de
mantenimiento si se siguen las instrucciones dadas en este manual,
solamente una limpieza regular realizada con un paño suave y un detergente
suave nos asegurarán un buen mantenimiento.
7.
GARANTIA
El Cargador/Carrusel de la línea Biohit está asegurado durante dos años
(excepto la bateria) contra defectos de los materiales de fabricación y
manufactura. Si observa cualquier fallo durante este periodo de tiempo,
contacte con nuestro representante local inmediatamente. La garantía
no cubrirá los defectos causados por el desgaste normal o por su uso

inadecuado. El cargador/carrusel cumple las normas de la Comunidad
Económica Europea CE: EN 55014, 1993/EN 55104, 1995/ISO 13485: 2003
y la directiva IVD (98/79/EC).
Cada cargador/carrusel es comprobado antes de su envío por el fabricante.
Los procedimientos de garantÌa de calidad nos aseguran que el cargador/
carrusel de la lÌnea Biohit que ha comprado está listo para su uso.
8.
INSTRUCCIONES DE RECICLAJE (WEEE)

e la riduzione delle sostanze perisoloce nelle apparecchiature
elettriche ed elettroniche, questo dispositivo non deve essere
riciclato come rifiuto comune. Al contrario questo dispositivo
deve essere smaltito separatamente secondo le normative
locali in materia di riciclaggio. Il simbolo del bidone dei rifiuti
con la croce sopra indica che il prodotto é stato immesso sul
mercato europeo dopo il 13 Agosto 2005.

USI
Questo strumento dedicato alla manipolazioni di fluidi è stato costruito
e concepito per essere utilizzato con i prodotti per IVD come accessorio
oppure come uno strumento a sè stante per dignostica in vitro.
2.
IL NUOVOMONOSTAND DI RICARICA BIOHIT PROLINE
CAROSELLO
Gli Stand di Ricarica Monoposto e Carosello Biohit Proline sono delle
unità di caricamento da tavolo. Possono alloggiare da una a quattro pipette
elettroniche Biohit Proline.

INSTALLAZIONE DEGLI STANDS
1. Carosello: connettere la testa di caricamento a 4 posti inserendola con
una leggera pressione nel connettore del supporto. Verificare che ruoti
correttamente (Fig. 1A).
2. Carosello: inserire la presa nel connettore alla base dello Stand (Fig. 1A)
e far passare il cavo dell´adattatore CA attraverso l´apposita guida.

Monostand: inserire la presa nel connettore sulla parte posteriore dello
Stand di ricarica (Fig. 1C).
3. Prima di connettere l´adattatore CA alla presa elettrica (Fig. 1B e 1C),
occorre assicurarsi che il voltaggio impostato corrisponda al voltaggio
corretto della presa elettrica e che il tipo di adattatore CA sia compatibile
con la presa elettrica.
4. La luce verde sulla parte frontale dell´/gli alloggio/gi pipette del
Monostand/Carosello indica lo stato di funzione.

Nota: per garantire un caricamento ottimale, usare soltanto adattatori CA
originali Biohit.
5.
USO DEGLI STANDS
Gli Stands di Ricarica Biohit Proline Monoposto e
Carosello devono essere usati solo con le Pipette
Elettroniche Biohit Proline. Posizionare la pipetta
nell´apposito alloggio dell´unità di ricarica e assicurarsi
che vi sia un corretto ancoraggio magnetico e un
caricamento ottimale (Fig. 2).
Per accedere alla pipetta sullo Stand a Carosello,
ruotare l´unità girevole usando l´apposito pomello.

MANUTENZIONE
Gli Stands di Ricarica Biohit Proline non necessitano di alcuna manutenzione
particolare. Quando gli Stands vengono utilizzati secondo le istruzioni
fornite nel presente manuale, basta pulirli regolarmente per garantire un
funzionamento senza inconvenienti. Per pulire gli Stands usare un panno
pulito e un detergente delicato.
7.
GARANZIA
Gli Stand di Ricarica Biohit Proline sono garantiti per due anni (eccetto
la batteria) per difetti di materiale e di costruzione. Se in questo periodo

di tempo dovessero verificarsi anomalie di qualsiasi natura si prega di
contattare immediata-mente il rappresentante locale Biohit. La garanzia
non copre i guasti causati dalla normale usura o da un utilizzo degli Stands
diverso da quanto riportato nel presente manuale. Gli Stands sono dotati
del marchio CE in conformità ai seguenti standard EN 55014, 1993/EN
55104, 1995/ISO 13485: 2003 e IVD Direttiva (98/79/EC).
Ogni singolo Stand viene controllato dal costruttore prima della spedizione.
La procedura di controllo qualità è concepita per garantire l´uso immediato
degli Stands di Ricarica Biohit Proline da parte dell´acquirente.
