Unit 3 – please make sure to review the unit with your
son/daughter and to accompany them to the meeting.

Finalmente torniamo al convento di 72 Mansfield dopo
quasi tre anni di assenza. Vi chiediamo se potete pensare
per dolci e salati (avvisate Anna nel nostro ufficio fino a
mercoledì prossimo) che possiamo offrire quando invitiamo
a voi parrocchiani di entrare per vedere sab 28 febb dal 2
al 4 pm e dom 1 marzo dalle 10 alle 11:30. Potete portare i
dolci e salati dalla porta laterale della chiesa venerdì dalle
7:30 a mezzogiorno (solo cose che non hanno bisogno
stare al fresco) e sabato dalle 11 all’1 pm.

CONFIRMATION REMINDER
The tax receipt for your contributions to St. Francis of Assisi
Church for the year 2014 are now ready to be collected from
the sacristy after this weekend Masses. Please make sure
that you pick up your receipt only.
Please note that this year, only receipts for $100 and over
were issued. Should you still require a tax receipt, please call
the office and we will gladly issue one for you.
Le ricevute fiscale per i vostri contributi alla chiesa di San
Francesco per l`anno 2014 sono pronte per essere raccolte
dalla sacrestia dopo le messe di fine settimana. Assicuratevi
di prendere soltanto la vostra ricevuta. Abbiamo stampato le
ricevute soltanto per chi ha fatto un’offerta totale di cento
dollari o più. Se avete dato di meno, siamo contenti di
stampare le cifre giuste sulla vostra richiesta.
@ THE PARISH – NELLA PARROCCHIA
These next couple of weeks are going touch and go. We will
be moving into our renovated rectory. At a certain point we
will also be transferring the telephone lines. Please be
patient and understand that as we move the records over we
will need some time to organize and settle. If you are not
getting through by phone, a good alternative is to try sending
an email – include your phone contact info. Please don’t
come to the rectory door before talking to us.
Were you cold in church last Sunday? Somebody propped
open the side door during the 9 am Mass on one of the
coldest days – sheesh! Ushers and parishioners – please
check that the doors are closed. Brrr!

GOING HOME – TORNIAMO A CASA
We are getting ready to move back to 72
Mansfield after being away almost three
years. We will be inviting parishioners to
an “Open House” on Sat Feb 28 from
2- 4 pm and on Sun March 1 from 10 –
11:30 am. Could those of you who are
great at preparing cakes, cookies,
sandwiches think about preparing some for the Open House?

25. Items can be dropped off via the side door of the church
on Fri from 7.30 until 12 noon (Fri-items NOT requiring
refrigeration) and Sat from 11am to 1pm. Thank you

Today we welcome Harry McAvoy to our parish. He works
with Stewardship in the Archdiocese of Toronto, and will be
speaking at all the Masses about the different agencies
sponsored by ShareLife.

ENGAGED COUPLES – CEREMONY PLANNING
On Sun March 8th at 10:30 am, there will be a meeting in the
Church for all the engaged couples who will be celebrating
the Sacrament of Marriage at St Francis of Assisi Church
during 2015. Please mark this date and time on your
calendars.
DAY OF CONFESSIONS – MARCH 4 2015
To return to the Lord with integrity, we benefit
greatly from celebrating the Sacrament of
Reconciliation. This year, we will provide the
opportunity for all Catholics to avail
themselves of this sacrament. Preparation for
and the celebration of Confession allows us to
set aside disruptive ways, to be renewed in
heart and spirit, to be reconciled with our God who abounds
with gracious, gentle tenderness.
On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, we will be having a Day of
Confessions throughout the Archdiocese. Confessions at our
parish will be available from 8:45 – 11:30 am, 1 – 3 pm, 6 - 7
pm. NB If we have a funeral, the morning times will be
disrupted.
Mercoledì 4 marzo sarà il Giorno delle Confessioni nella
arcidiocesi di Toronto. Gli orari stipulati sopra reggono fin che
non ci sia un funerale. Vi invitiamo a partecipare nel
sacramento di perdono nel tempo adatto della santa
Quaresima.
During Lent the Way of the Cross will be prayed on Friday
mornings (except First Friday March 3rd). NB this devotion
will be prayed in Italian.

THE GOOD FRIDAY PROCESSION PERSONAGGI PER
LA PROCESSIONE DEL VENERDÌ SANTO
On Friday April 3rd 2015, we will be celebrating our Annual
Good Friday Procession. For all parishioners and new
comers that are interested in re-enacting the characters of
Good Friday we ask that you send an email
to [email protected]. The character board
will not be available this year therefore we
ask that you email us with the character
that you wish to play and a member of our
Good Friday committee will contact you.
We will do our best to match you up with
the character you have requested but if
your application comes in late and
someone has already been assigned your
character, we ask you to consider making
yourself available for whatever personality
is needed to make this year’s procession a
success and to help bring the Gospel message to our
streets. Please remember that in addition to your email contact
info, it would also be helpful to have your daytime and evening
telephone numbers.

processione del Venerdì Santo. Chiediamo a tutti i
Parrocchiani, inclusi quelli nuovamente arrivati tra noi, che
sono interessati a partecipare come figuranti nella
Processione del Venerdì Santo, di inviarci una posta

Quest’anno siccome non usufruiremo del cartello con
l’elenco dei personaggi, vi chiediamo di specificare nella
vostra posta elettronica il personaggio che desiderate
raffigurare e un membro del comitato della processione del
Venerdì Santo vi contatterà. Faremo del nostro meglio per
abbinarvi con il personaggio che vogliate rappresentare
però se la vostra richiesta ci giunge con ritardo e il
personaggio che avete scelto e stato già affidato a qualcuno
altro, vi chiediamo gentilmente di pensare a dare la propria
disponibilità ricoprendo il ruolo di uno dei personaggi
mancanti in modo da far sì che la processione quest’anno
sia un successo e così anche da contribuire alla diffusione
del messaggio del Vangelo percorrendo le nostre strade.
Ricordate che inoltre all’indirizzo di posta elettronica
sarebbe opportuno fornirci con ulteriori dati di contatto come
ad esempio il vostro numero di telefono di ufficio o di casa.
Quaresimale, questi sono tuttavia disponibili nel retro della
Chiesa. Le cartelle saranno poi raccolte il giovedì santo. Per
favore assicurate che il vostro nome, il numero d’indirizzo e il
numero della vostra busta domenicale saranno scritti ben
chiari sul retro della Cartella.

unirvi a questa devozione basata sulla Passione
