ShareLife Parish Campaign
Thank you for all your donations to Sharelife so far! To date,

THIS WEEKEND - Collection in support of the
International Eucharistic Congress
in Quebec City, June 15 – 22, 2008
From June 15-22, 2008, Canada will host the 49th International
Eucharistic Congress in Quebec City. Fifteen thousand participants
from our country and abroad are expected to attend this major
ecclesial event. Religious communities, Catholic movements,
governments and some sponsors have already pledged their
financial support for the Congress. However, it will not be possible
to balance the budget without a contribution from the faithful of
the Catholic Church in Canada. This is why a special collection will
be taken up in all Canadian churches next weekend. For more
information, please log on to www.cei2008.ca. Envelopes for this
purpose are at the entrance of the church if you need one.
MAINTENANCE COLLECTION
Next weekend’s 2nd collection will be taken up for the
monthly maintenance of our church. Thanks for your
constant support!
Campaign 2007 Update
In case you hadn’t heard, St. Clare’s Parish has mounted a major
Capital Campaign to raise funds to repair and restore significant
parts of the church (exterior and interior). To date, we’ve raised
about $190,000 toward our goal of $500,000!
For more
information about this campaign, please pick up a brochure at the
entrance of the church. Envelopes are also available at the
entrance. Pass them around to everyone you know! Thank you.

Marygrove Camp Collection
On the June 23/24th weekend, we take up the
annual collection to support Marygrove Camp for
Girls. This residential camp is operated by the
St. Vincent de Paul Society and offers girls
between the ages of 5 and 13 a chance to
enjoy a one-week summer camp experience! It’s offered free
of charge to girls who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
FAITHFUL COMPANIONS ON OUR JOURNEY
Is there a parishioner you know who may benefit from a friendly
visit or call from a member of our Parish Social Ministry team? If
so, please speak with this person, then contact us at the parish
office and leave us your name and number and we will call you
about your referral.
Feast of St. Anthony
Come & join us this afternoon at 4 p.m. We will
be celebrating the Feast of St. Anthony with our
annual procession in the neighbourhood,
followed by the blessing of bread and of our
children. Parishioners are invited to decorate
their balconies; Altar servers and children who
made their 1st Communion are invited to come
dressed in their 1st Communion dresses and
suits and to follow in procession with St. Anthony. We end our
celebration of St. Anthony with a Solemn Mass this Wednesday,
June 13th at 7:30 p.m., which will also be followed by the blessing
of bread, after which refreshments will be served in the Hall. We
welcome your donations of bread and sweets.
Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
On Friday, June 15th at 7:30 p.m., we will be celebrating
the Feast of the Sacred Heart with Mass, Consecration to
the Sacred Heart and Benediction. Come and join us.
INSURANCE COLLECTION
As you know, during the month of June, or at your convenience,
we will be accepting offerings to cover the overwhelming
Insurance Bill, which we expect to come in at over $20,000!
Please find a special envelope for this collection, either in your
envelope packet or at the entrance of the church. It would take
about $50 per family for us to be able to meet this challenge, but
we understand that not everyone can contribute equally, and so,
whatever you can do will be tremendously appreciated. Thank
you for understanding.

Pilgrimage to Martyr’s Shrine
in Midland
Our parish will be going on Pilgrimage to the Martyrs’ Shrine in
Midland, Ontario on Thursday, July 19th. We will be leaving St.
Clare’s Church at 7 a.m. and will be back in Toronto by 6 p.m. that
evening. Tickets are $30 each and may be purchased in the
parish office during the week from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

in Loretto, Ontario (approx. 45 mins. From Toronto). We will have
Mass at 11 a.m., lunch at Noon (bring your own lunch). Please
reserve that date and invite your friends & family! Please call the
parish with your name & number if you need a ride, as we are
hoping to reserve a bus.

Corpo e Sangue di Cristo
Ogni domenica, la comunità cristiana si raduna per celebrare
l’Eucaristia. Oggi siamo invitati a raccoglierci per ringraziare Dio
del dono che ci ha dato in Cristo, pane di vita per il mondo.
OGGI - Festa di Sant’Antonio
Questo pomeriggio alle 4 p.m. celebriamo la Festa di Sant’Antonio
con la nostra processione nei dintorni, seguita da benedizione del
pane e dei nostri bambini. Se avete qualche stendardo, siete
invitati a portarlo e siete anche invitati ad abbellire le vostre
verande. Incoraggiamo a partecipare anche i chierichetti e tutti i
bambini che quest’anno hanno fatto la Prima Comunione, a
seguire la processione con l’abbito nuovo. Poi, continuamo con
una serie di Messe (un Triduo), ogni sera in chiesa l’11 e 12 di
giungo, con la conclusione della Messa Solenne mercoledì, 13
giugno alle 7:30 p.m. sequita anche da benedizione del pane. Vi
sarà il rinfresco nella sala subito dopo. Ogni offerta di pane e dolci
sarà molto gradita.

Congresso Internazionale Eucharistico
Nella città di Quebec City, 15 – 22 giugno, 2008
Dal 15 al 22 giugno, 2008, il Canada ospiterà il 49o Congresso
Internazionale Eucharistico nella città di Quebec City. Si aspetta un 15,000
partecipanti da nostro paese ed anche dal’estero per questo grande
evvento ecclesiastico. Le comunità religiose, movimenti cattolici e garanti
individui hanno dato il loro appoggio al Congresso. Anche con tutto ciò,
non sarà possibile affrontare le spese senza l’aiuto dei fedeli della Chiesa
Cattolica del Canada. Per ciò, sarà necessario di fare una colletta speciale
in tutte le Chiese Cattoliche nel weekend del 9/10 giugno. Per maggior
informazioni, referitevi al sito www.cei2008.ca. Le buste per questa
colletta sono ancora all’entrata della chiesa.

Fino ad oggi, abbiamo raccolto quasi $190,000 per le necessarie riparazioni

favorite prendere il volantino apposito all’entrata della chiesa. Vi saranno

convenienza, accettiamo offerte per coprire la grande spesa
dell’assicurazione., la quale certamente sarà più di $20,000. Nella

Se no, si troverà all’entrate della chiesa. Se ogni famiglia potrebbe
contribuire con $50, l’assicurazione potrebbe essere pagata facilmente,
ma capiamo che non tutti possono contribuire egualmente, quindi,
