SETTAGGIO INIZIALE DELLA TESTA:
SETTING UP YOUR HEAD:
Montaggio della testa sul treppiede:
Mounting the gimbal to a tripod:
Per il montaggio della sidekick su un treppiede, è
necessario essere in possesso di una testa a sfera con
attacco Arca-Swiss o, in alternativa, della testa
PHOTOSEIKI MH-101.
Montare la testa a sfera o la MH-101 sul perno filettato
da 3/8” del cavalletto (vedi istruzioni relative al
componente), ruotare il morsetto della testa in
posizione verticale e serrarlo bene in questa posizione
tramite relativa manopola. Aprire il morsetto agendo
sullo sgancio rapido o manopola di serraggio della testa
in oggetto.
A questo punto allineare la Base di Fissaggio (6) col
morsetto così posizionato ed infilare la sidekick nello
stesso, in modo da far combaciare le due superfici (vedi
fig. pag.3), quindi serrare fermamente la manopola del
morsetto della testa o relativo sgancio rapido.
To mount your sidekick on a tripod, it becomes
necessary to achieve a ball head with Arca-Swiss
attach or, as an alternative, the PHOTOSEIKI MH-101
head.
Mount your ball head or your MH-101 onto the 3/8”
pin of the tripod (see instructions of the component),
rotate the clamp of the head up to its vertical position
and tighten it firmly into this position through the
related knob. Release the clamp operating on the
quick-release attach or the plate-release knob of the
head.
After these operations, align the Head Base (6) with
the positioned clamp and slide the sidekick in it,
making the two surfaces correspond (see fig. pag.3),
then tighten firmly the plate-release knob of the
clamp of the head or related quick-release attach.

Collegamento dell’obiettivo alla testa:
Attaching your lens to the head:
Montare la piastra (venduta separatamente) al piede
dell’obiettivo con le viti in dotazione; se necessario,
usare l’apposito riduttore da 3/8” a 1/4”.
Assicurarsi di aver serrato fermamente la piastra prima
di montare l’obiettivo sulla sidekick.
Svitare la Manopola Serraggio Piastra (2) finché il
Morsetto Serraggio Piastra (3) non si è aperto
completamente. Infilare la piastra tramite l’attacco
Arca-Swiss, poi serrare la Manopola Serraggio Piastra.
Accertarsi che la piastra sia saldamente chiusa tra il
Tassello Serraggio Piastra (4) ed il Morsetto Serraggio
Piastra.
Sbloccare cautamente la Manopola Serraggio
Basculamento (1) in modo da ottenere un movimento
controllato del proprio kit macchina più obiettivo.
Mount the release plate (sold separately) to the
bottom of your lens with the included dedicated
screws; if necessary, use the dedicated adaptor 3/8”
to 1/4”.
Be sure to tighten firmly the release plate before to
mount your lens on your sidekick.
Unscrew the Plate-Release Knob (2) until the PlateRelease Clamp (3) is wide open. Insert your release
plate through the Arca-Swiss coupling, then tighten
the Plate-Release Knob.
Verify the release plate is firmly locked up between
the Plate-Release Plug (4) and the Plate-Release
Clamp.
Release safely the Tilt Knob (1) in order to achieve a
controlled movement of your own kit camera plus
lenses.

Lo scopo è bilanciare l’obiettivo in modo che la
fotocamera rimanga in posizione quando la testa è
allentata. Se l’obiettivo tendesse a cadere in avanti,
svitare leggermente la Manopola Serraggio Piastra e far
scivolare la piastra indietro fino al bilanciamento
dell’attrezzatura. Se al contrario l’obiettivo tendesse a
sollevarsi, svitare leggermente la Manopola Serraggio
Piastra e far scivolare la piastra in avanti fino al
bilanciamento dell’attrezzatura.
Una volta raggiunto un bilanciamento soddisfacente,
serrare con decisione la Manopola Serraggio Piastra.
Se doveste aggiungere o togliere moltiplicatore di
focale, battery grip, flash o altri accessori, sarà
necessario ripetere la procedura di bilanciamento.
The goal is to balance your lens to make your camera
stay in position when the head is loose. If your lens
tends toward forward, unscrew lightly the PlateRelease Knob and let the release plate slide backwards
until you succeed in balancing your equipment. If
otherwise your lens tends to lift up, unscrew lightly
the Plate-Release Knob and let the release plate slide
forward until you succeed in balancing your
equipment.
Once gained a satisfying center of gravity, tighten
firmly the Plate-Release Knob.
If you have to add or remove tele-converter, battery
grip, flash or other accessories, you would need to
repeat the balancing procedure.
