mportant news from the Ferretti Group, whose presence at the Genoa International
Boat Show (7th – 15th October) was that of an out and out leader. For the very
first time, lovers of the luxury yachts produced by the prestigious brands Ferretti
Yachts, Pershing, Itama, Bertram, Riva, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, Custom Line and CRN
were able to visit and admire all the models at a single, high-impact, impressive stand.
The Ferretti Group’s new stand was the result of the reorganisation of the exhibition areas
at the Boat Show indeed, but even more so due to a wish to promote the common features
of the Group’s different brands, namely exclusiveness, painstaking care taken over detail
and stylistic innovation – without intervening with the strong, individual identity of each
single shipyard.
The new exhibition area - the “Ferretti Group Pavilion” is one of the largest ever built for
a boat show, featuring a surface area of over 4,000 m2 on dry
land, about 3,000 m2 in the sea and landing wharfs totalling
over 120 m in length. The area is divided into three distinct
areas, i.e. an elegant stand “on dry land”, set in the most
prestigious location of the exhibition area, accessible from both
land and sea; a “sea” area featuring yachts max. 90’; and a
“megayacht” area.
Of the 52 yachts exhibited (23 ashore and 29 in the sea), 9
are being presented in Italy for the very first time, whilst 3,
Mochi Craft Dolphin 64’, Apreamare 48’ and CRN 128’#3
“Anne Marie”, are world previews. This exceptional fleet once
again testifies the Ferretti Group’s leadership.
The new models presented at Genoa 2006 included Ferretti
780, Pershing 50’ Shaftliner, Itama FiftyFive, Riva Shuttle,
Riva 63’ Vertigo, Riva 75’ Venere, Apreamare Maestro 51’,
Apreamare 32’, Apreamare 48’, Mochi Craft Dolphin 64’,

mportante novità in casa Ferretti Group, vero protagonista del 46° Salone Nautico
Internazionale di Genova, che si è svolto dal 7 al 15 ottobre. Per la prima volta
gli appassionati delle imbarcazioni realizzate con i prestigiosi marchi Ferretti Yachts,
Pershing, Itama, Bertram, Riva, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, Custom Line e CRN hanno potuto
visitare e ammirare tutti i modelli in un’unica area espositiva, con un effetto scenografico
di grande impatto.
Il nuovo stand del Gruppo Ferretti è nato dalla riorganizzazione degli spazi fieristici della
città ligure, ma più ancora dalla volontà di valorizzare i tratti comuni dei brand del Gruppo
– esclusività, cura dei dettagli e innovazione stilistica – senza tuttavia interferire con la forte
identità individuale caratteristica dei singoli cantieri.
Il nuovo spazio espositivo, denominato “Ferretti Group Pavilion”, è risultato uno dei più
ampi mai realizzati per un salone nautico, con una superficie
di oltre 4.000 mq a terra e circa 3.000 mq a mare e pontili
per una lunghezza totale di oltre 120 m. L’area prevede tre
zone distinte: un elegante stand “a terra”, posizionato nella
zona più prestigiosa della fiera, accessibile sia da terra che da
mare; una zona “a mare” con barche fino a 90’; un’area
“megayacht”.
Delle 52 imbarcazioni esposte (23 a terra e 29 a mare), 9 sono
state presentate in anteprima italiana, mentre 3, Mochi Craft
Dolphin 64’, Apreamare 48’ e CRN 128’#3 “Anne Marie”, in
anteprima mondiale: una flotta d’eccezione che testimonia,
una volta di più, la leadership del Gruppo Ferretti.

urante la cena di gala che si è tenuta sulla spiaggia dell’Hotel Carlton di Cannes in
occasione del Festival International de la Plaisance, alla quale sono intervenute le
massime personalità della nautica mondiale, la rivista Yachts Magazine ha assegnato
il prestigioso “World Yacht Trophies 2006” al Ferretti 591 per la categoria “50’-60’ Flying
Bridge” e al nuovissimo Itama FiftyFive per la categoria “50’-60’ Open”.
• Il Ferretti 591, una delle novità presentate da Ferretti Yachts nell’anno nautico ‘05-‘06, è stato
premiato per l’eccellente ottimizzazione degli spazi interni, per il design e le soluzioni progettuali
adottate che consentono di ampliare gli ambienti e di garantire un grande comfort di bordo
in soli 18 metri. Il premio è stato consegnato a Fulvio Dodich, Direttore Generale di Ferretti
S.p.A., e a Marco Segato, Vice President of Sales, da Michel Karsenti, Editore di Yachts Magazine
e da Renaud Jourdon, Direttore della testata (foto in alto).
• Il FiftyFive, presentato in anteprima alla stampa a Capri lo scorso giugno nel corso della
prima edizione dell’Itama Power Circle, ha conquistato la giuria con la sua linea di grande
eleganza, facendosi apprezzare anche per i plus che rendono più semplice e piacevole la guida
per l’armatore. Motoryacht dal carattere moderno, il FiftyFive, che si è fatto nuovamente
ammirare alla testa della sfilata di imbarcazioni di lusso svoltasi in mare lungo tutta la Croisette,
mantiene anche la classicità di forme del suo immediato predecessore, l’Itama 55’.
L’importante riconoscimento è stato consegnato al Presidente Itama, Tilli Antonelli,
all’Amministratore Delegato Fabio Fraternale, e all’Architetto Marco Casali, yacht designer di
Itama (foto in basso).

new models, clearly testifying the huge success the Ferretti Group
enjoyed during the ’05-’06 nautical year. During said year, the Group continued
to expand considerably, both regarding its products and the acquisition of new
market segments all over the world, while continuing to strengthen its existing
structure.
The brand new models presented by the Ferretti Group were: Ferretti 780,
Pershing 50’ Shaftliner, Itama FiftyFive, Riva Shuttle, Riva 63’ Vertigo, Riva

achts Magazine assigned the prestigious “World
Yacht Trophies 2006” during the gala dinner
held on the Hotel Carlton beach in Cannes in
occasion of the Festival International de la Plaisance.
The top names in the world nautical sector took part in
the event, at which the Ferretti 591 won the trophy for
the “50’-60’ Flying Bridge” category, and the brand new
Itama FiftyFive the one for the “50’-60’ Open” category.
• The Ferretti 591, one of the brand new models presented
by Ferretti Yachts during the ‘05-’06 nautical year, won
the award thanks to the excellent layout and design of
her interior and the innovative solutions chosen. Said
solutions make it possible to increase the size of the
different areas, guaranteeing total on-board comfort in
just 18 metres. The award was presented to Fulvio Dodich,
Ferretti S.p.A.’s Managing Director, and Marco Segato,
Vice-President of Sales, by Michel Karsenti, Publisher
of Yachts Magazine and Renaud Jourdon, Editor-in-Chief
(photograph top right).
• The FiftyFive, presented to the press for the very first
time in Capri in June 2006 during the first edition of
the Itama Power Circle, conquered the panel of judges
due to its smart line and specially chosen solutions which
make navigation easier and more pleasant for the owner.
Motoryacht with a modern character, the FiftyFive,
admired yet again at the head of the parade of luxury
yachts at sea along the entire Croisette, also maintains
the classical shape of its immediate predecessor, the
Itama 55’.
This important award was presented to the Chairman of
Itama, Tilli Antonelli, the CEO Fabio Fraternale, and
architect Marco Casali, Itama’s yacht designer (photograph

he 18th annual Pinmar Yachtsman's Golf Tournament was held at the Mallorca Marriott Son
Antem Golf course on 19th and 20th October 2006. The spectacular Prizegiving Dinner was held
at Es Foguero in Palma de Mallorca on Saturday 21st October. 270 Players, 650 Dinner guests,
over 60 Organisers, volunteers and helpers and over 90 Sponsors have helped to raise € 50,000 for various
charities, thanks to all these people the previous fundraising record was beaten.

ottobre. 270 giocatori, 650 ospiti, più di 60 tra organizzatori, volontari e collaboratori e oltre 90 sponsor hanno contribuito a raccogliere

BCS power unit CO500: easily boating
xtremely innovative in concept and working principle, the BCS power unit
is the right solution for those who do not compromise enjoyment in cruising
and pleasure and demand a safe and reliable steering system.
The BCS power unit, which is installed on most of the Ferretti Group boats,
has been projected to guarantee the pleasure of a sporting steering without renouncing
the highest safety level and the best comfort.
Its prompt responsiveness allows a total control of the boat anytime with a reduced
number of turns lock-to-lock.
Therefore the CO500 provides an easy and safe steering even when uncertain cruising
conditions or higher speeds can cause difficulties in vessel control.
Thanks to its compact design, the BCS power unit is incredibly easy to install anywhere
as well as simple to run. It is provided with an automatic filling device that makes the
bleeding procedure much easier and faster. Turning the power unit on, in fact, the oil
that flows through, automatically eliminates the air from the system without any
additional action. A further feature that makes the CO500 power unit different from
the other solutions on the market, is the characteristic of being the unique system power
source. This means that the steering is completely independent from the boat’s propulsion
system.
This quality gives many advantages, the first one is the possibility to have a system
not pressurized that avoids the need to install a cooler and therefore makes the installation
easier. The maintenance is extremely simplified, too, not only for the reduced number
of components, but also for the possibility to use connection hoses with smaller diameters
as the system works at low pressures. Another big advantage of being independent from
the main engines is the possibility to install this power assisted steering system even
at later stage, where a manual system is already fitted, without any added PTO.
The safety standards of BCS power assisted steering system are very high and the CO500
power unit itself is provided with an automatic safety device which guarantees the total
control of the boat even in emergency conditions. In case of problem to the power
supplier or power unit failures, the steering system automatically turns into manual
system without pressing any button
or/and open-close any by-pass.
Reliability and redundancy are the
main criteria used to realized the
CO500 that, thanks to its innovative
features, has become a product you
cannot do without if you always want
to be sure of having the best control
with the minimum effort.

Centralina BCS CO500: navigare con semplicità
stremamente innovativa nel concetto, la centralina per l’asservimento CO500
è la soluzione ideale per chi non accetta compromessi sia nel piacere di navigare
che nella tranquillità che può offrire soltanto un impianto sicuro ed affidabile.
Progettata per garantire il piacere di una guida sportiva senza rinunciare alla
massima sicurezza e al più alto comfort, la centralina BCS è installata sulla maggior parte
delle imbarcazioni del Gruppo Ferretti. La sua immediata risposta agli impulsi di comando,
permette un controllo totale dell’imbarcazione in qualsiasi momento, con un numero di
giri limitato da banda a banda.
La CO500 consente pertanto una guida facile e sicura anche dove condizioni di navigazione
avverse o velocità sempre più elevate possono presentare delle difficoltà di governo.
Grazie al suo design compatto, la centralina BCS è incredibilmente semplice da installare
ovunque e altrettanto facile nel funzionamento. Il dispositivo di riempimento automatico
di cui è provvista agevola e velocizza le procedure di spurgo. Azionando la centralina
infatti, l’olio che entra in circolo elimina automaticamente l’aria dall’impianto e nessuna
operazione aggiuntiva è pertanto necessaria. Un’ulteriore caratteristica che rende la
centralina CO500 diversa dalle altre soluzioni presenti sul mercato è la particolarità di
essere l’unica fonte di potenza dell’impianto. Ciò significa che la timoneria è completamente
indipendente dal sistema di propulsione dell’ imbarcazione. Tale indipendenza consente
enormi vantaggi, primo tra tutti la possibilità di avere un impianto non pressurizzato che
esclude quindi anche la necessità di installare un sistema di raffreddamento e pertanto
semplifica l’installazione. Ugualmente anche la manutenzione è resa particolarmente
semplice, non solo per il numero
limitato di componenti, ma anche dalla
possibilità di utilizzare tubazioni di
collegamento con diametri
notevolmente ridotti in quanto Il
sistema lavora a pressioni molto basse.
Un altro enorme vantaggio
dell’indipendenza dai motori principali
è la possibilità di installare questa
timoneria asservita anche in tempi successivi, laddove è già presente un impianto manuale,
senza la necessità di predisporre PTO aggiuntive. Gli standard di sicurezza della timoneria
asservita BCS sono molto alti e la stessa centralina CO500 è dotata di un dispositivo di
emergenza automatico che garantisce il pieno controllo dell’imbarcazione anche in
condizioni di precarietà.
In caso di problemi all’impianto di alimentazione o alla stessa centralina la timoneria si
trasforma automaticamente in un sistema di guida manuale senza necessità di premere
alcun pulsante o/e aprire-chiudere alcun by-pass. Affidabilità e ridondanza sono dunque
i criteri predominanti nella realizzazione della CO500 che, grazie alle sue innovative
caratteristiche, è diventata un prodotto di cui è impossibile fare a meno se si desidera
avere sempre la certezza del massimo controllo con il minimo sforzo.

After the huge success of previous events, there is increasing interest in Convergence
2007 and Convergence Navi 2007. Planned for February-March of next year, the
two appointments will, as always, be organised for Captains of Ferretti Group
yachts. Convergence will bring together Captains of yachts max. 24 metres to
make an in-depth study of topics, techniques and other issues related to the
complex daily management of a motoryacht. Convergence Navi, on the other hand,
is organised for Captains of yachts over 24 metres in length and will concentrate
on the technical and managerial aspects of boating. The activities will be organised
as training workshops, visits to shipyards and technical reports given by component
and on-board systems experts. The pleasant setting for these few days will, as
indeed in past years, provide the Captains present
with an opportunity to meet up and exchange
their mutual experiences.

Düsseldorf Boot 2007 and Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show 2007
The new year will see the impressive presence of Ferretti Group at two important events, namely, Düsseldorf Boot 2007
and the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show 2007. The Düsseldorf Boat Show, to be held from 20th to 28th January 2007, is
the most important appointment for the Central-Northern European nautical market. Once again, the Ferretti Group’s stand
at the event, always one of the most visited, will stand out for its exclusiveness and elegance. The following month, the most
important American boat show after Fort Lauderdale will take place from 15th to 19th February, namely the Miami Yacht
and Brokerage Show 2007 to be held in Collins Avenue. As always, the Ferretti Group will take this occasion to aknowledge
the importance of the US market, exibiting all models at its impressive stand.
L’anno nuovo vedrà il Gruppo Ferretti protagonista di due importanti appuntamenti: Düsseldorf Boot 2007 e Miami Yacht
and Brokerage Show 2007. Il Salone di Düsseldorf, che si svolgerà dal 20 al 28 gennaio 2007, si configura come l’appuntamento
più importante per il mercato della nautica nell’area del Centro-Nord Europa. All’interno del salone lo stand del Gruppo
Ferretti, da sempre uno dei più visitati, si caratterizzerà ancora una volta per esclusività ed eleganza.
Per il mese successivo è invece previsto il più importante salone del mercato americano dopo Fort Lauderdale, il Miami
Yacht and Brokerage Show 2007 che si svolgerà dal 15 al 19 febbraio in Collins Avenue. In questa occasione il Gruppo
Ferretti continuerà a dimostrare il suo interesse per il mercato statunitense ed esporrà i suoi modelli in uno stand che si
rivelerà, come sempre, protagonista del salone.

Convergence vedrà riuniti Comandanti di imbarcazioni fino a 24 metri, che
approfondiranno tematiche, tecniche e non, relative alla complessa gestione
quotidiana dei motoryacht. Convergence Navi si rivolgerà invece ai Comandanti
di imbarcazioni superiori ai 24 metri e sarà incentrato su temi di natura tecnica
e gestione della nave. Le attività si articoleranno in workshop formativi, visite
in cantiere e interventi tecnici da parte di esperti di componenti e impianti di
bordo. Un contesto suggestivo e piacevole sarà teatro di queste giornate che,
come già negli anni passati, offriranno ai Comandanti la possibilità di incontrarsi
e scambiarsi reciproche esperienze.
