Crystal 140’ è un modello unico nel suo genere che Benetti ha posto al centro della gamma Class, innovando il concetto
di navetta capace di vivere il mare con grandi spazi sopra e sotto coperta, con la conquista della luce e di nuove funzioni.
Le grandi vetrate a tutta altezza e l’ampiezza delle aree esterne evidenziano i suoi concetti ispiratori: il rapporto con il
mare e la vita all’aperto. Crystal è proposto anche nella versione più classica con il fumaiolo, antica suggestione e simbolo
delle navigazioni.
Crystal 140’ is a one of a kind model that Benetti has placed smack in the middle of the Class range. It builds on the idea of
an open water navetta with grand spaces above and below deck: a feat in day lighting and new features. The large, full-height
windows and generous exterior spaces point to the inspirational concepts: the relationship with the sea and living outdoors.
Crystal is also offered in the classic version with a smoke stack, a time-honoured boating symbol.

INTEGRAZIONE DEI SISTEMI DI PLANCIA
BEST è l’esclusiva piattaforma tecnologica creata da Benetti che integra tutti i sistemi elettronici
e impianti di bordo. In BEST i sottosistemi, sebbene diversi per funzionalità e tecnologie, sono
in grado di comunicare tra loro con un linguaggio comune: la televisione realmente “parla” con
le luci così come le telecamere “parlano” con i telefoni. Tutto ciò è reso possibile in quanto
ogni funzione ha un’interfaccia aperta che permette la comunicazione con il resto del sistema.
BEST, infatti, è costituito da un’infrastruttura di rete unica e da un middleware che mette in
relazione tra loro i dispositivi e le diverse componenti attraverso lo scambio di segnali ed
eventi.
Il Sistema di Plancia Integrata messo a punto da Benetti è un’innovazione tecnologica capace
di integrare e interfacciare i numerosi strumenti di navigazione attraverso un unico software
completo di hardware.
La sfida di Benetti è stata quella di progettare un sistema capace di integrare in modo
funzionale tutti gli apparati di navigazione, telecomunicazione, sicurezza e trasmissione dati
per assicurare un’estrema facilità di utilizzo e una maggiore velocità di reazione, con un
conseguente aumento della sicurezza. Il progetto, innovativo anche per la struttura modulare,
è in continua evoluzione per permettere l’integrazione della strumentazione di navigazione e

Benetti’s Exclusive Sea Technology
BEST is the new exclusive technologic platform created by Benetti that integrates all the onboard electrical systems.
In BEST all subsystems, although different for functionality and technology can communicate
with each other using a common language: television really “talks” to lights as well as cameras
“talk” to phones. This is possible because every function has an open interface that enables
communication with the rest of the system.
BEST is made up of a single network infrastructure and middleware software that correlate all
devices and different components through the exchange of signals and events.
Integrated Bridge System

The Integrated Bridge Systems designed by Benetti represents a technological innovation
capable of integrating and interfacing all navigation instruments thanks to a single software
complete with hardware.
The Benetti challenge was to design a system which could optimise functional integration of
all navigation telecommunications, safety and data transmission instrumentation in order to
guarantee extreme ease of use and fast response time, resluting in a considerable increase in
sea safety levels. The project, with its innovative modular structure design, is constantly under
development in order to allow for the integration of navigation and communication system
from the world leading industry brands.

CLASSIFICATION AND CERTIFICATES
The Yacht will be built in accordance with “A.B.S. (American Bureau of Shipping) Guide for
Building and Classing Motor Pleasure Yachts” as published in February 2000 + Convention on
the International Regulations for Preventing Collusions at sea, 1972.
Class notation is @ A1, Maltese Cross A1 Yachting Service - AMS, by the American Bureau
of Shipping according to the Guide mentioned
Flag Authority Requirements, additional to Class Notation and to the Specification,
will be evaluated case by case and quoted accordingly if feasible;
As option the yacht can be built in compliance with the Large commercial yacht code (LY2)
HULL AND SUPERSTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION
Hull and deck are entirely built in FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) with combination of
foam core sandwich and single skin fiberglass construction.
Superstructure is built in Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic with a cored sandwich structure.
The connection between the superstructure and the main deck will be obtained by means
of stainless steel bolts and flanges and an adequate number of FRP layers according to the
Classification Society requirements.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Benetti è uno dei più antichi costruttori mondiali di megayacht. Fondato a Viareggio da Lorenzo Benetti nel 1873, il cantiere ha iniziato la sua attività costruendo imbarcazioni
a vela di legno destinate ad un uso commerciale per traffici locali ed internazionali, guadagnandosi rapidamente la fama di leader mondiale del settore.
Nel 1985, Azimut ha scritto una nuova pagina nella storia di Benetti. Con l’acquisto del cantiere toscano ha dato inizio ad una nuova era di management e d’investimenti di
capitali che hanno avuto come risultato Benetti così come è oggi: un cantiere moderno e tecnologicamente avanzato, pronto a recepire le sfide del futuro e in grado di offrire
ai suoi armatori gli yacht più raffinati ed esclusivi al mondo. Da allora Benetti si è sviluppato più di qualunque altro concorrente del segmento realizzando oltre 130 yacht e
specializzandosi nella produzione delle linee semi-custom, dai 93 ai 145 piedi, e nei mega yacht in acciaio ed alluminio, completamente custom oltre i 45 metri.
Nel 2003 il Gruppo Azimut-Benetti S.p.A. rileva i Cantieri Navali Fratelli Orlando di Livorno e avvia un importante piano industriale per la creazione di un polo specializzato
nella nautica da diporto, con la contestuale riconversione di un’area urbana ed un porto turistico.
Dal 2004 Benetti è riconosciuto a livello internazionale quale primo cantiere al mondo in termini di produzione di mega yacht.
Benetti is one of the world’s oldest builders of megayachts. Founded in Viareggio in 1873 by Lorenzo Benetti, the shipyard started out building wooden, masted barks for
local and international commercial purposes, quickly earning its reputation as an industry leader worldwide.
In 1985, Azimut opened a new chapter in Benetti history. The purchase of the Tuscan boatyard signalled a new era of management and capital investment that has made
Benetti what it is today: a modern, cutting-edge shipyard ready to meet the challenges of the future, able to offer its owners the world’s most exclusive and refined yachts.
Since then, Benetti’s growth has outpaced that of any other competitor in the sector; it makes over 130 yachts and specialises in the production of semi-custom ranges from
93 to 145 feet as well as completely custom steel and aluminium megayachts of over 45 metres.
In 2003, the Azimut-Benetti Group S.p.A. took over the Cantieri Navali Fratelli Orlando in Livorno, launching a major industrial plan to create a facility specialised in pleasure
boating alongside the revitalisation of an urban area and tourist port.
Since 2004 Benetti has been worldwide considered as the leader in mega yacht production.
