Il progetto Two Flags parte da un estruso appartenente alla produzione
Danese, il corpo di Slice, e lo reinterpreta come corpo di un sistema di
lampade la forma schiacciata e allungata della sezione si rivela perfetta
per inserire le sorgenti led che creano una doppia emissione, diretta e
indiretta non identica ma bilanciata in proporzioni tali da fornire un flusso
evidentemente più intenso da un’apertura e uno che anima semplicemente il
corpo della lampada e lo spazio appena circostante dall’altra.
Questo fa si che, a seconda della versione in cui è montato il corpo della
lampada, l’emissione possa essere orientata verso l’alto o verso il basso per
sfruttarne al meglio le funzionalità in tutte le versioni il corpo della lampada è
orientabile secondo diversi principi funzionali.

The project of Two Flags starts from an extruded belonging to Danese’s
production (Slice’s body) that has been newly interpreted as a lighting body.
The stretched and flat shape is perfect to insert led sources that create a
double emission, a direct and an indirect one. They’re not identical but they
have been balanced to supply a more intense flux on one side and a flux that
simply brightens up the body lamp and the just surrounding space on the
other side. Depending on the version in which the body lamp is mounted,
the emission can be oriented upwards or downwards to better exploit the
features of the lamp itself.
The body of the lamp of each version is adjustable according to different
functional principles.

Lacie and Sony.
Ernesto Gismondi, mechanical and aeronautical engineerand fouder of
Artemide Group, he established as an international designer, participating in
“Memphis”, an avant-garde movement that brought about a profound evolution
in the design sector both in Italy and worldwide. Neil Poulton, Scottish designer,
designing objects for mass production for Artemide, Danese, Lacie and Sony.
