Situato ai piedi delle Alpi, circondato da antichi castelli e imponenti abbazie,
il Relais Villa Matilde è stato ricavato da una villa patrizia del 1700. Circondato
da piante di magnolie e pergolati di uva fragola, offre 43 camere e suites,
una diversa dall’altra, tutte con vista sul lussureggiante parco di platani e
castagni. Le antiche scuderie sono state convertite in un elegante ristorante
celebre per le specialità tipiche della cucina piemontese. Il Sina Wellness
Club offre un ambiente confortevole dove rilassarsi e prendersi cura del
proprio benessere. Sono inoltre disponibili piscina e campo da tennis.
Completano l’offerta sale riunioni eleganti e modernamente attrezzate.
Situated at the foot of the Alps and surrounded by ancient castles and imposing
abbeys, the Relais Villa Matilde has been created out of a noble villa from the
1700s. Surrounded by magnolia plants and pergolas with strawberry vines, it
has 43 rooms and suites, each one different, all with a view over the luxuriant
park of plane trees and chestnuts. The old stables have been converted into a
refined restaurant, famous for its typical Piedmont cuisine specialities. The Sina
Wellness Club offers a comfortable setting where you can relax and take care
of your well-being. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court.
The offer is completed with elegant and extremely well equipped meeting rooms.

Dal casello di Scarmagno a 500 mt si trova l’albergo. All’uscita di Scarmagno
girare a sinistra seguendo la direzione Romano Canavese, alla rotonda
svoltare nuovamente a sinistra e prendere la prima strada (Viale Marconi).
Dopo circa 300 metri troverete il Relais Villa Matilde alla Vostra sinistra.

Scarmagno. The hotel is located at 500 mt from the highway exit.
At the exit Scarmagno turn left following the direction to Romano Canavese, at
the roundabout turn left and take the first street on your right (Viale Marconi).

Degustazione dei pregiati vini del Canavese accompagnata da prodotti
tipici locali quali formaggi,salumi e dolci presso l’originale cantina
dell’albergo.
Tastings of the fine Canavese wines accompanied by typical local
specialities: a savoury version with cheeses and cured pork products and a
sweet version with grappas with chocolate. The tastings can be organised
in the hotel’s original wine cellar which has a vaulted brick ceiling.

Nelle antiche e suggestive cantine della villa si può organizzare la
“Merenda Sinoira” che significa “tra la merenda e la cena” in quanto i
contadini al ritorno da una lunga giornata nei campi erano affamati ed
anticipavano la cena mangiando salumi e formaggi locali accompagnati
da un buon bicchiere di vino.
A merenda sinoira is a snack to be enjoyed between afternoon tea and
dinner and can be organised in the villa’s atmospheric old wine cellars or
in the luxuriant gardens. This merenda recalls the old days when peasants
used to return home hungry after a hard day’s work in the fields and
snack on cured pork products, cheese and a glass of wine.

Antiche dimore storiche ben conservate e ricche di preziosi spunti
artistici dislocate nella zona. Tra i più famosi il Castello di Aglié, antica
residenza sabauda, resa famosa e conosciuta in quanto set della fiction
Elisa di Rivombrosa; il Castello di Masino, d’origine alto-medioevale,
per dieci secoli residenza dei Conti Valperga di Masino e dal 1987 di
proprietà del FAI.

The Canavese region is rich of well kept historical inheritances. Amongst
the most famous are the Agliè Castle, old noble residence, made famous
by the Italian fiction Elisa from Rivombrosa shot in its grounds; the
Masino Castle, originating back in the Medieval and for ten centuries
residence of the Counts Valperga from Masino and since 1987 property
of the Italian Environmental Fund (FAI).

F VENARIA REALE PALACE AND GARDENS
La Venaria Reale è una città antica con un magnifico palazzo e giardini
barocchi. Costruito dai Savoia nel 1659 il palazzo ha subito lavori di
ristrutturazione fino al 1716. Oggi è un patrimonio mondiale
dell'UNESCO. Le visite guidate al palazzo durano circa 2 ore e mezza. Il
biglietto d'ingresso è valido anche per i bellissimi giardini.
F TORINO SOTTERRANEA
La Venaria Reale is an ancient town with a magnificent Baroque palace
and gardens. Built by the Savoys in 1659 the palace underwent various
renovations up to 1716. Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Guided tours of the palace take about 2 ½ hours. The entrance ticket is
also valid for the gardens which are well worth seeing.
