Festa del Telemark con gara e tanto divertimento.
Telemark festival and competition.
Per tutti i fine settimana di maggio gli impianti di Breuil-Cervinia, sulla direttrice
Cervinia/Plateau-Rosà, rimarranno aperti dando così la possibilità agli appassionati
di sciare sulla parte alta della pista del Ventina con rientro a Cime Bianche Laghi, dai
3.500 mt. del ghiacciaio (dove si potrà sciare anche sul versante svizzero) sino a mt.
2.812 della stazione di Cime Bianche.
Per gli sci alpinisti un’occasione per continuare a coltivare la propria passione
anche in primavera, con la possibilità di effettuare gite in quota con le Guide del
Cervino, mentre i non sciatori potranno approfittarne per un’escursione a 3.500
metri da cui ammirare le più belle montagne delle Alpi e visitare il museo più alto
d’Europa “Una Montagna di Lavoro”.

THROUGHOUT MAY, OPENING WEEKENDS
The lift systems in Breuil-Cervinia will open throughout May on weekends, with the cable
cars Breuil-Cervinia/Plateau Rosà and skiing on the piste Ventina to Cime Bianche
Laghi, from the 3,500 m asl of the glacier (where it will be possible to ski also in the
Swiss ski area) down to the 2,812 m asl of Cime Bianche Laghi.
Ski touring enthusiasts can also take advantage of the lift opening for excursions at
altitude with Cervino Mountain Guides and non-skiers can take advantage of it for
an ascent at 3.500 m to admire the most beautiful mountains in the Alps and visit the
highest Europe’s museum “Una Montagna di lavoro”.

breuil, per l’italia, ma viene preceduto da Whymper sul versante svizzero. raggiunge finalmente la cima il 17 luglio 1865, tre giorni dopo il
rivale. in seguito segue Whymper sulle ande (1879-1880) e sale cime
inviolate, ma resta l’uomo del cervino. nell’agosto del 1890 scala per
l’ennesima volta la montagna con leone sinigaglia e il portatore Gorret, ma vengono sorpresi dalla bufera. con una difficile discesa carrel
riesce a riportare il clente ai piedi del cervino, poi si stende a terra e
muore dopo aver pronunciato le ultime parole: «non è niente...».

Il est né à Valtournenche, en 1829, et il grandit en faisant le berger
et le paysan. Il était un chasseur et un grand marcheur et aimait escalader
les montagnes. Il participa aux guerres d’indépendance d’Italie et donc il fut
nommé le Bersagliere. Il est le seul qui considère possible l’escalade du Cervin.
À partir du 1860, il partage son aventure avec l’anglais EdwardWhymper qui
était son client et son concurrent. Pendant l’été 1860, il va être convaincu par
Quintino Sella et son envoyé Felice Giordano à essayer en secret l’ascension
en partant du Breuil, du côté italien, mais il est dépassé par Whymper qui
l’escalade par le versant suisse. Il rejoint le sommet le 17 juillet 1865, trois
jours après son concurrent. Par la suite, il va avec Whymper sur les Andes
(1879-1880) et escalade des sommets inviolés, mais il reste surtout l’homme
duECervin. Au mois d’aout du 1890, il escalade pour l’énième fois la montagne avec Leone Sinigaglia et le porteur Gorret, mais ils sont surpris par une
tempête. Il arrive à reconduire son client au pied du Cervin par une descente
très difficile, après laquelle il s’allonge par terre et il meurt en prononçant ces
mots : « Ce n’est rien… ».

E Born in Valtournenche in 1829, he grew up working as a shepherd and a farmer. Hunter and outstanding walker, he liked to climb the
mountains. At the age of thirty he received the nickname of Bersagliere
(“Marksman”) for he took part into the First Italian War of Indipendence; he was the only man of his valley who believed in the possibility to
climb
R the Matterhorn. After 1860 he tries several times with the Englishman Edward Whymper, a customer and a competitor at the same time.
In summer 1865 Quintino Sella and Felice Giordano convinced him to
try the ascent secretely starting from the Breuil, for Italy, but Whymper
reached the summit before them, from the Swiss side. He finally reached
the summit himself on July 17th 1865, three days after his rival. He followed Whymper on the Andes (1879-1880) on unclimbed peaks, always
remaining the man of the Matterhorn. In August 1890 he did the ascent
for the umpteenth time with Leone Sinigaglia and the bearer Gorret, but
they were surprised by a storm. With many difficulties, Carrel succeeded
to bring his client at the foot of the Matterhorn, then he lay down on the
ground where he died soon after while saying his last words:“I’m alright...”.

попыток восхождения на вершину вместе с англичанином Эдуардом Уимпером (Edward Whymper), клиентом и конкуррентом по ту
сторону Ла-Манша. Летом 1865 года, убежденный Квинто Стелла (Quintino Sella) и его представителем Феличе Джордано (Felice
Giordano) тайно предпринять попытку восхождения на вершину с
итальянской стороны, Бреула (Breuil), оказывается опереженным
Уимпером со стороны Швейцарии. Достигает вершины уже 17
