Rules for Club Championship 2011
APPROVED BY CLUB COMMITTEE ON 12.28.2010 AND FURTHER MODIFICATIONS
SIT‟s'Governing'Council'has'deliberated'only'for'the'current'year'(2011)'to'make'some'changes'to'the'rules'to'achieve'
the title of Club Champion.
The changes essentially are that for this year the Club Championship will be disputed only with one trial, i.e. 5 & 6
November'this'year'at'Colle'Val'D‟Elsa'(SI).
In detail the winner of best dog & best bitch of each breed will be proclaimed Club Champion.
Below the qualifications required to advance to the play-off for the best of each sex:
Champion class: 1st excellent
Between Open & Intermediary classes: for those who achieve 1st excellent CAC
For Parson Russell* and Jagd Terrier*: also 1st excellent CAC in Working class
Junior class: 1st excellent
Veteran class: 1st excellent
*N.B.: For the Parson Russell and Jagd breeds the prize of Club Championship will be awarded also for the subjects
who do not have the working trial certificate.
Clarifications:
The'subject'will'be'proclaimed'SIT'Club'Champion'who‟s'owner'is'regularly'registered'as'a'SIT'club'member'for'the'
current year.
Should a foreign competitor win, the title of Club Champion of Beauty will be awarded only in the case that the owner of
the subject resides or lives permanently in a country other than Italy.
However the subjects of foreign competitors (owners) who regularly show on Italian territory and are not members of
the Società Italiana Terriers will not be entitled to ensue the Club Championship; this in order not to excessively
penalize the foreign terrier owners regularly associated.
In the case that the best subject of sex is owned by a not SIT club member with residence in Italy the title of Club
Champion will not be awarded.
It is to be understood that should the best of sex be the subject from the Junior class, this subject may hold both titles
(Junior Club Champion & Club Champion).
The Junior Club Championship will be awarded to the winners 1st excellent of the Junior classes prior to verification of
the necessary requirements being the same as those for adult subjects.
The'Governing'Council'has'also'deliberated'to'introduce'the'title'of'“SIT'PROMISE”'which'will'be'destined'to'each'sex'
(Dog & Bitch) from the Puppy and Youth classes. The winner will be unique, i.e. will be determined by the play-off
between the 1st best promising Puppy and the 1st best promising Youth.
The participation to the MAIN RINGS (RING' D‟ONORE) is obviously precluded to the eventual Best of Breed, Best
Youth, Best Veteran, Best Puppy, Best Baby, who do not have the necessary requirements to ensue the relative
Championship as in the MAIN RINGS (RING'D‟ONORE) the TOP TERRIER SIT will be selected and will be accessible only
to those entitled.

Il' Consiglio' Direttivo' S.I.T.' ha' deliberato' unicamente' per' l‟anno' in' corso' (2011)' di' apportare' delle' modifiche' al'
regolamento per il conseguimento del titolo di Campione Sociale di Bellezza.
La' modifica' sostanziale' riguarda' il' fatto' che' solo' per' quest‟anno' il' Campionato' Sociale' verrà' disputato' in' una' prova'
unica, ossia in data 5-6'Novembre'p.v.'a'Colle'Val'd‟Elsa'(SI).
Nel dettaglio, sarà proclamato Campione Sociale il soggetto di ogni razza che sarà stato scelto come Miglior maschio e
Miglior femmina rispettivamente.
Qui'di'seguito'le'qualifiche'per'l‟accesso'allo'spareggio'per'il'migliore'di'ogni'sesso:
Classe Campioni: 1° Ecc
Fra le classi Libera e Intermedia: chi consegue 1° ecc Cac
Per Parson Russell* e Jagd terrier* anche il 1° Ecc Cac in Classe Lavoro
Classe Giovani: 1° Ecc
Classe Veterani 1° Ecc
 N.B.: Per le razze Parson Russell e Jagd è in palio il campionato Sociale di Bellezza anche per i soggetti non in
possesso della Prova di Lavoro
Precisazioni:
Viene'proclamato'Campione'Sociale'SIT'il'soggetto'il'cui'proprietario'è'regolarmente'iscritto'come'socio'SIT'per'l‟anno'
in corso.
Per ciò che riguarda i competitori provenienti dall‟estero, in caso di vittoria verrà ugualmente loro conferito il Titolo di
Campione Sociale di Bellezza, ma solo nel caso in cui gli stessi risiedano e dimorino stabilmente in una nazione diversa
dall'Italia.
Si precisa però che i soggetti di proprietari stranieri che abitualmente espongono sul territorio italiano senza essere
tesserati presso la Società Italiana Terriers non potranno conseguire il Campionato Sociale; questo allo scopo di non
penalizzare i terrieristi stranieri regolarmente associati.
Qualora si verifichi il caso che il soggetto migliore di sesso sia di un non socio SIT residente in Italia il titolo di
Campione Sociale non verrà assegnato.
Resta inteso che qualora il migliore di sesso sia il soggetto proveniente dalla classe Giovani quest‟ultimo'potrà'fregiarsi'
di ambedue i titoli (Campione Sociale Giovane e Campione Sociale).
Per quel che riguarda il Campionato Sociale Giovani questo sarà assegnato, previa verifica dei requisiti che sono gli
stessi inerenti gli adulti, ai vincitori delle classi Giovani con il 1° ECC.
Il'Consiglio'Direttivo'ha'inoltre'deliberato'di'istituire'il'titolo'di'“PROMESSA'SIT”'che'è'destinato'al'vincitore'di'ogni'
sesso (Maschio & Femmina) proveniente dalla classi Puppy e Juniores. Il vincitore è unico ossia si determinerà dallo
spareggio fra il 1° Miglior Promettente Puppy e il 1° Miglior Promettente Juniores.
La' partecipazione' ai' ring' d‟onore' è' ovviamente' preclusa' agli' eventuali' migliori' di' razza,' miglior' giovane,' miglior'
veterano, miglior puppy, miglior baby che non abbiano i requisiti per conseguire i relativi Campionati poiché sul Ring
d‟onore'si'disputeranno'i'TOP'TERRIER'SIT'accessibili'solo'agli'aventi'diritto.

Together with the Show the Club has organized a gastronomic competition of sweet and savory cakes with terrier
breeds as the subject. This is a tradition of the agricultural English country fairs and we therefore hope that you will
accept this challenge.
All cakes must be consigned to the'Secretary‟s'stand'within'1:00'pm'on'Sunday'where'they'will'be'put'on'show'until'the'
Prize giving.
The cakes will be judged and tasted immediately before the Best in Show and at the end of the Show you are all invited
to taste them all with us.

Regolamento Gara delle Torte
Collateralmente al Raduno il Club ha organizzato una competizione gastronomica a base di torte dolci e salate a soggetto
“razze' terriers”.' Questa' è' una' tradizione' delle' fiere' dell‟agricoltura' inglesi' e' pertanto' speriamo' che' vogliate'
raccogliere la sfida.
Le torte dovranno essere consegnate entro le ore 13:00 di domenica presso la Segreteria che le esporrà fino al
momento della premiazione finale.
Le torte verranno giudicate ed assaggiate subito prima del Best in Show e al termine della manifestazione siete tutti
invitati a degustarle con noi.

West Highland White Terrier
I first started showing Westies in 1968 with my Husband. We traveled all over the country and we had a little success.
After my Husband died in 1979 I carried on and have been showing Westies ever since. I first awarded Challenge
Cetificates in 1976 .At that time it was frowned upon if you judged more that your own breed, so I only award
Challenge Certificates in Westies but have judged other terrier breeds at open shows, I judged Crufts in 1986 and
have awarded Challenge Certificates 20 times in Britain, I have Judged International Shows overseas eight times, and
have had my dogs make Championship status in the U.S.A, Canada, New Zealand, Norway and Denmark.
I have served on the Committe of The West Highland White Terrier Club, of England, was Secretary for a good number
of years, and am now President
My life has been given to the West Highland White Terrier breed and I have no regrets, I have enjoyed all of the 43
years I have been involved
with breeding ,showing judging, and loving these little white dogs. Jean Abbey
Ho cominciato ad esporre i Westies nel 1968 assieme a mio marito. Abbiamo viaggiato per tutto il paese con un discreto successo.
Dopo la sua morte nel 1979 ho continuato da allora ad allevare ed esporre Westies. Ho giudicato la prima volta ad un'esposizione
di Campionato con il CC nel 1976. A quel tempo venivi disapprovato se giudicavi altre razze oltre quella che allevavi, sicchè ora
giudico con il CC solo il West Highland White terrier, ma ho giudicato a livello delle Open Shows altre razze terrer. Ho giudicato al
Crufts nel 1986 ed ho giudicato 20 volte nel Regno Unito ad Esposizioni di Campionato con il CC in palio. Ho giudicato otto volte
all'estero in Esposizioni Internazionali ed i miei cani hanno conseguito il Campionato in USA, Canada, Nuova Zelanda, Norvegia e
Danimarca. Sono stata Segretaria del West Highland White Terrier Club Of England per un buon numero di anni e ora ne sono il
Presidente. La mia vita è stata data alla razza West Highland White Terrier e non ho rimpianti, ho goduto di tutti i 43 anni in cui
sono stata coinvolta nell'allevare, esporre, giudicare ed amare questi piccoli cani bianchi.

Bull Terriers and Miniatures
I first became interested in Bull Terriers about 25 years'ago'after'„rescuing‟'a'very'sickly'puppy'in'need'of'a'good'
home' and' who' got' me' hooked' on' the' breed' by' the' sheer' force' of' his' personality.' ' My' second' dog' „Louis‟' was'
responsible for getting me involved in showing for, although he was probably one of the worse specimens of a Bull
Terrier' you' could' find' with' his' „Queen' Anne‟' front' and' his' floppy' ears,' he' too' was' a' great' character,' a' great'
ambassador for the breed and thoroughly enjoyed every outing we ever had.
I bred my first litter around 1990 producing Ch Fourheatons The Hedonist and I never looked back! Dominic and I met
shortly after the litter were born and our first joint litter produced Ch Grandopera Force Majeur, sire of Ch Vengers
Fiery Finesse at Fourheatons Grandopera who was runner up in the Ormandy Jugs and The Sandawana Trophies, She
was grandmother to Ch F. G. Persiflage, runner up in all three major trophies one year and winner of the Sandawana
the following year.
The litter also produced Ch Fourheatons Grandopera Felicity, winner of the Ormandy Jug for bitches, she was the
mother of F.G Cosi Fan Tutte, who in 2000 became our foundation bitch for our current miniature line and is the
mother of 6 champions, Grandopera Pocket Atlas, Pocket Money, Pocket Venus, Te Kanewa, Small Change and Small
World. Small Change has herself produced 4 Champions and Small World produced this year Best of Breed at Crufts.
G Cosi Fan Tutte was best brood bitch for 4 years running, after which her daughter, G Small Change took the same
title for 2 years and, for 2010, G Small World has taken the same honour thanks to her winning son and daughter - G
Carbon Neutral and G Global Warming.
Dogs'are'a'truly'family'affair'for'us.''Our'miniature'affix'Grandopera'first'belonged'to'my'husband,'Dominic‟s'parents'
(Barbara and Anthony Clark)who bred many excellent dogs and we are proud that our daughter, Verity, is also a keen
enthusiast handling her own Ch G Te Kanewa to Best of Breed at Crufts in 2005. Elaine Clark

fatto affascinare a questa razza grazie alla forza pura della sua personalità.

uno'dei'peggiori'esemplari'che'qualcuno'possa'incontrare'con'il'suo'petto'piatto'“Regina'Anna”'e'le'sue'orecchie'flaccide,'aveva
anch‟esso'un'magnifico'carattere,'un'ottimo'ambasciatore'della'razza'e'ci'siamo'goduti'ogni'esposizione che abbiamo fatto con lui.
La prima cucciolata che ho allevato è stata intorno al 1990, produsse Ch Fourheatons The Hedonist e non ho più guardato indietro!
Dominic (il marito n.d.r.) ed io ci incontrammo poco la nascita della cucciolata e la nostra prima cucciolata in collaborazione
produsse Ch Grandopera Force Majeur, padre di Ch Vengers Fiery Finesse at Fourheatons Grandopera, che concorse al Ormndy
Jug ed al Sandawana Trophies. Fu anche la nonna di Ch F G. Persiflage, che un anno concorse per tre Trophies e vinse il
Sandawana'(Sandawana'Trophy'n.d.r.)'l‟anno'seguente.'
La'cucciolata'produsse''anche''Ch'Fourheatons'Grandopera'Felicity,'vincitrice'delle'femmine'dell‟'Ormandy'Jug,'madre'di'F.G'Cosi
Fan Tutte, che nel 2000 divenne la femmina fondatrice della nostra attuale linea per i miniature ed è madre di 6 campioni,
Grandopera'Pocket'Atlas,'Pocket'Money,'Pocket'Venus,'Te'Kanewa,'Small'Change'and'Small'World.'Small'Change'fu'anch‟essa'
madre'di'4'Campioni'e'Small'World'ha'prodotto'quest‟anno'il'migliore di razza al Cruft.
La figlia di Cosi Fan Tutte, Small Change guadagnò quello stesso titolo per due anni e, per il 2010, G Small World ottenne lo stesso
onore grazie alle vittorie di sua figlia e figlio, G Carbon Neutral and G Global Warming.
I cani sono'per'noi'un'vero'affare'di'famiglia.'Il'nostro'affisso'“Grandopera”'per'i'miniature,'prima'di'essere'di'mio'marito'Dominic'
fu utilizzato dai suoi genitori che allevarono molti cani eccellenti e a nostra volta siamo fieri di nostra figlia, Verity, che è davvero
entusiasta di presentare il suo Ch G Te Kanewa, migliore di razza al Crufts nel 2005.

Australian, Border,Norfolk & Norwich Terrier
My kennel has been in existance for well over 70 years.
I am a 3rd generation breeder/exhibitor of Norfolk and Norwich Terriers
and briefly owned Border Terriers.
I am only the 2nd kennel in the UK to have bred and or owned over 100 champions. The current total being 115.
I have bred champions in USA, Europa and Scandinavia.
All present UK Norwich descend from Ragus dogs. I have bred and owned numerous group and BIS winners. I owned my
first champion at 5 years old. At 13 years old I took 3 Norwich to a championship show on my own, travelling with a
friend of my mothers, and won BOB, BOS and BP. After this I mainly handled the Ragus Norwich and Norfolks.
I first judged at 15 years old. First awarded CC's at 21 years old. I am now a international championship show judge.
I also handled most of my husband Michaels Norfolk, Norwich and Australian Terrier champions, including the first
multiple group and BIS winning Norwich CH Elve The Sorcerer and the first multiple group winning Norfolk CH Salette
Gold Bullion.
Ragus holds many records in Norfolk and Norwich terriers, too many to iteminise. Lesley

Il mio allevamento esiste da ben oltre 70 anni. Io sono la terza generazione di allevatore/espositore di Norfolk e Norwich T. e
saltuariamente ho posseduto Border Terriers.Il mio è il secondo solo allevamento in UK ad aver allevato o posseduto oltre 100
campioni. Attualmente il totale di 115. Ho allevato cani divenuti campioni negli Stati Uniti, in Europa ed in Scandinavia.Al presente
tutti i Norwich della Gran Bretagna discendono dai Ragus.Ho allevato e posseduto numerosi vincitori di Gruppo e Best in Show.
Sono stata proprietaria del mio primo campione all'età di cinque anni. A tredici anni condussi tre Norwich Terrier ad
un'esposizione di campionato per conto mio, viaggiando con un'amica di mia madre e vinsi il Migliore di Razza, il Sesso opposto ed
il Best Puppy. Da allora principalmente io ho presentato i Norwich ed i Norfolk Terriers di Ragus. Ho giudicato per la prima volta
all'età di quindici anni ed assegnato per la prima volta il CC's a ventuno anni. Sono giudice internazionale. Ho presentato anche
molti dei Norfolk, Norwich ed Australian Terriers di mio marito Michael, compreso il primo multi vincitore di Gruppo e Best in
Show Norwich T. CH Elve the Sorcerer ed il primo multi vincitore di raggruppamento di Norfolk T. Ch. Salette Gold Bullion.RAGUS

I was born in mid-60 on the west coast of Sweden as a child. I was very interested in animals of all kinds and after
nagging my parents they finally bought me a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
To get the chance to work with animals and learn more about them I worked at the animal hospital in Gothenburg, it
gave me a lot of valuable knowledge of animals and human beings.
Since I started I have been a leading breeder of Parson Russell Terriers. My affix is Toutchstone. My first longlegged
Jack Russell came to me in 1985. The breed was officially recognized by the FCI in 1991 and I then started showing my
dogs. Up till now I have bred and owned 70 showchampions and some tracking- and hunting champions. As I´m very
interested in all type of dogs but aspecially Terriers I have also bred Smooth Foxterriers, Lakelands, Welsh and of
course Jack Russells where I started with two Australien bred bitches. In the house there is also a very special loved
called Kaisa, she is a sighthound, a Polish Greyhound, because of her I´m also very much in to sighthounds. My partner
breeds Bernese Mountaindogs.
So far I´ve had the pleasure of judging a lot of shows for terriers and other breeds as well as all breeds shows in
Scandinavian countries, Ireland, Italy and the Baltics countries, Germany , Poland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria and
Russia, Australia and New Zealand.. I have also judge the World Dog Show in Denmark for the breed parson russell
terrier, affenpinscher ang german pinscher.
I´m licensed to judge all terrier- and sighthoundsbreeds, schnauzer- and pinschers, dobermann, rottweiler and great
danes, newfoudland, leonberger, pyrenean mountain dog, saint bernhard dog, shetland sheepdogs, collies, white swiss
sheperd dog, danish / swedish farmdog and also 5 tibetan breeds, boston terrier, cavalier king charles spaniel, French
bulldog, pugs, swedish vallhound and pharaon hound and cirneco dell ´etna, Canarian warren hound, Ibizan Podenco,
Podengo portugües total 94 breeds.
My interest in animals also includes horses, I´m a licensed dressage judge and trainer, so movement is very important

I began judging my first breed, boxers in 1965,Ch.Rayfos Rainmaker,13 cc's and 15 r.cc's, was my first champion in
1968.
My late wife Barbara and I met a lovely Lakeland bred by Freddie Sills and subsequently bought a puppy who
unfortunately did not enjoy showing. We became friendly with Herbert Atkinson in the early 70's who on going to Belgium to work
for Mrs. Urmston left the Wyndam Lakelands with us. Our first Lakie champion Wyndam Lady Pat was one of the puppies left with
us.Her grand-daughter Ch. Rayfos Cherokee was mated at Barbaras instigation to CH/AMCH Viscum vibart of Foxden. To quote
Herbert "put your hand in and out came a good man", six champions,3 u.k. 1 canadian, 1 danish and 1 swedish, the gods had smiled.
Further champions followed, too numerous to detail.
We bought 3 wire fox terrier puppies from George Hocking (Conock) from which came 3 u.k. and numerous overseas
champions. A kerry blue puppy bitch was purchased from Michael Gray who, in the hands of the late Andy Walker became Ch.
Greylag Musicale at Rayfos. Along the way we had miniature dachshunds, miniature poodles, pugs and for Carol Appleton made up
a German Short haired Pointer.
Rayfos have won over 400 cc's, working groups, terrier groups B.I.S. R.BI.S. at all breed ch. shows, notably with
Ch. Rayfos Cockrobin,Mrs. Tonkins Ch. Tonantron Glory Lass, both boxers, with Lakelands ,Ch. Rayfos Swift Arrow and Ch.Rayfos
Fire Medicine (still spritely at 15 years young) also a great sire.
I am passed to judge 13 terrier breeds, the terrier group,3 working breeds, I have judged extensively
abroad, Australia, U.S.A., Scandinavia, Barbados, Kenya,to name but a few.
Some fifty years down the line, thanks to good advice, great support from my late wife Barbara, and my wife Gill, I am now about
to judge the Terrier Group at Crufts, what can I say? Thank you to my life with dogs.

Comprammo 3 cuccioli di Wire Fox Terrier da Gorge Hocking ( CONOCK) dai quali arrivarono 3 campioni inglesi e numerosi
campioni stranieri.
Una cucciola di Kerry blue T ci fu venduta da Michel Gray, la quale, nelle mani dello scomparso Andy Walker, divenne la
campionessa Greylag Musicale at Rayfos. Più tardi nel tempo, noi possedemmo bassotti miniatura , barboni miniatura, carlini e per
Carol Appleton tirammo su un bracco tedesco a pelo corto.
Rayfos' ha' vinto' oltre' 400' CC‟s,' Working' Group,' Terrier' Group,' Best' in' Show,' Riserve' di' Best' in' Show' ad' esposizioni' di'

Scandinavia, Barbados, Kenia, per nominare giusto qualche località. In questi 50 anni completi, grazie ai buoni consigli della mia
scomparsa moglie Barbara, e di mia moglie Gill, io adesso mi ritrovo giudice del Terrier Group a Cruft. Cosa posso dire? Ti

Skye Terriers
I acquired my first Cairn Terrier bitch 1968 in my native country
Sweden. A childhood dream to own a Skye Terrier was fulfilled
1970, when a bitch puppy was imported from Kennel Skyeline in Finland. A Swedish bred Skye bitch joined her the
following year. My Maridale kennel was founded on these dogs and the kennel has since produced champions in both
breeds. I relocated to UK in the late 1970s and my activity in the world of dogs has continued here. I have always
been involved with health- and genetic matters and serve on breed club committees for both breeds. I judge many of
the terrier breeds at open show level and I am a Championship Judge of Cairn Terriers and Skye Terriers.

Ho preso il mio primo cairn femmina nel 1968 in Svezia, il mio paese nativo. Il sogno da bambina di possedere uno

I started showing and breeding Bedlington Terriers in 1971 and I have produced champions under the prefix of
Whickham and Tynecourt. I judged my first open show in 1978 and awarded CC s, in 1985 and judged the breed at
Crufts in 1991. My first overseas appointment was in Germany in 1991. I also award CC s in Border Terriers, at open
show level I judge most breeds in the Terrier, Hound and Gundog groups. I have been a committee member of the
National Bedlington Terrier Club for over 30 years and been

Cairn Terrier
I have always lived with dogs and one of my first memories is playing in the garden with our Golden Retriever Tess. It
was inevitable that I would grow up passionate about dogs and now Cairns are very much my life. My parents first
registered the Carradine Kennel'name'in'the'early'1980‟s'and'it'was'transferred'to'me'for'my'21st birthday!
I have owned, bred or handled 16 Champion Cairn Terriers. 11 in the UK, 2 in Finland, and 1 in each of: Poland, Germany
and Austria
Together with my Mum, Rosemary Harrison, we keep around 15 Cairns at home and show 4 Cairns at most UK
Championship shows. Our breeding programme focuses on producing fit, healthy Cairns suitable for the show ring.
I'have'awarded'CC‟s'in'the'UK'on'five'occasions'and'have'a'further'appointment'booked for 2012.
I have also judged overseas in Finland, Germany, Sweden, France and Denmark.

Ronnie Irving, who is a Scot, is a third generation breeder of Border Terriers,
his grandfather having started in the breed in 1923, three years after it was
recognized by the Kennel Club in the UK. He and his father and grandfather
never owned a Kennel Name as this was frowned upon by the working Border
Terrier'enthusiasts'in'the'early'days'of'the'breed‟s'KC'recognition.'He'owned'
or bred several UK champions before, in 1978, marrying Kate Sullivan of the Dandyhow Border Terriers for which
kennel he has subsequently handled. The kennel has, over the years, contained both the dog and bitch breed record
holders and the two kennels have contained over 60 UK Champions. Ronnie also spent some time living in the USA
where he handled for the Dandyhow Border Terrier Kennel.
Ronnie first judged at championship shows in 1967 and is approved at that level in the UK to judge 22 breeds in all and
Group 3 and Best in Show. He has judged the Terrier Group at Crufts on two occasions and has judged extensively in
many European countries, the United States at Montgomery County and Westminster etc and in Australia.
He has written two books on dogs and was from 1965 until 2001 a regular contributor on various canine issues to
either Dog World or Our Dogs in the UK.
He is, at time of writing, Chairman of the Kennel Club in London, which position he has held since 2002, and he has
been a member of the General Committee of the Kennel Club since 1994.

I began breeding Scottish Terriers in 1976, from Noonsun, Kainedale and Reanda lines. I began exhibiting in 1982,
making up my first Champion in 1988 - Ch. Pendlehill Ian. I have many Champions all over the world - the latest being
Grand Champion Pendlehill Flora - made up in 2010/11.
I have judged Open and Championship Shows in Great Britain and around the world in Japan, United States and on the
Continent. I have retired from exhibiting and almost retired from breeding - but am still very involved in the
Scottish Terrier world and always will be. I‟m'still'involved with Scottie Rescue - I have been its Chairman for 5 years,
I was involved as a Trustee in the 1980s and been a supporter ever since.

My husband Ernest and I lived on a small farm in Ohio. We had many dogs in the thirty five years we lived there. We
had an Airedale and West Highland White Terrier. These were followed by our first show dogs. The American
Staffordshire Terriers Welsh Terriers and Jack Russell Terriers.
We bred and exhibited our American
Staffordshire‟s'and'the'Welsh'Terriers.''I'also'did'obedience'and'some'weight'pulling'with'the'Amstafs.'I'have'bred'
over thirty American Staffordshire Terriers champions and many Welsh Terrier champions... I still have two Welsh
Terriers at home, but no longer breed. My husband passed away in 1997 and I moved to Florida.
In'the'late'1980‟s'I'decided'to'study'and'become'an'AKC'Dog'Show'Judge.''I'applied'to'the'American'Kennel'Club'for'
judging approval in 1990. I now can judge all Terriers, Toys and Poodles, the Misc. Breeds. The Terrier Group, Toy
group and Best in Show.
Through the years I have judged all the Terriers and Toys in many areas of the United States at All Breed Shows. I
have judged Best in Show and Best Puppy in Show. I have judged the American Staffordshire terrier Specialties
throughout the U.S. I had 257 Amstafs at the National Specialty held in 2002. I have judged two Welsh terrier
Specialties at Montgomery County; I also did the National Scotch Terrier Specialty and the American Staffordshire
Terrier at Montgomery County, in Pennsylvania. I have also judged the West Highland White specialties at regional
specialty shows.
I have judged in Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. I judged two times in Moscow. I judged the first
American Staffordshire Terrier Specialty show in Perth Australia September 2008.

Juan & Bethane Bitter Sweet. They were all good winners in their day & three of
them, in turn, produced Champions, with Anna ( B. Bitter Sweet ) being the dam
of Ch. Maradin Master'Mariner,'who'was'BOB'at'Crufts'‟83.
The reds came along as a result of mating mahogany brindles together, grandfather / granddaughter, another Anna (B.
Red Rosanna ), who was the dam of Int. & Du.Ch. Bethane Beau Brummill, a Champ. Group winner in Holland & K.E.T.S.
Trophy winner.
And'her'grandson,'Bethane'Don'Quixote,'who'did'a'lot'of'winning'in'the'80‟s.
In'the'90‟s,'with'his'wife'Gwen,'they'bred'Bethane'Dark'Secret.'She'was'BOB'at'St.'Patrick‟s'Day'Show,'Ireland,'in'
‟94,'and'also'won'2'Res.'CC‟s. She proved herself to be an outstanding brood bitch, producing to different sires, Ch.
Bethane Moonlight Madona JW, Int. & It. Ch. Bethane Malaki, and Bethane Moriearty, 1CC, 2 Res.CC.
They still have the mother & daughter pair of Bethane Panache & Bethane Galadriel, who both gained their stud nos,
with'Gala‟s'son,'Bethane'Bombadillo''winning'well'as'a'youngster,'with'5'Best'Puppy'awards'at'Champ'shows''and'one'
of her daughters, Bethane Galas Highland Trip, gaining her Crown in Australia.
Alan is very much involved in the world of dogs. He served on the S.B.T. Club (Parent Club) Committee from 19792009, was their Show Manager & Vice Chairman for many years. He is President of both Sedgley & Gornal Canine
Ass., and of Birmingham & District Gundog & Terrier Club, a past committee member of Midland Border Terrier Club
& a founder member of the Border Terrier Club of Ireland, also a Vice President of the Parson Russell Terrier Club.

On the judging side Alan first judged the breed in 1978 at Tredegar & D.C.S. His first Club Show was for Notts. &
Derby District S.B.T.C.in 1983 with his first CC appointment being for the East Midlands S.B.T.Club, in 1991, where he
judged' the' dogs' with' an' entry' of' 194.' Since' then' he' has' awarded' CC‟s' many' times' in' the' UK' &' overseas' with
appointments in Ireland, Italy, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Australia, South Africa & U.S.A. He is involved in
other'Terrier'Breeds'and'awards'CC‟s'in'7'Breeds'and'the'Terrier'Group'at'Championship'level.'He'has'judged'over'30'
Terrier'Groups,''including'5'x'B.I.Show‟s'at Terrier Societies.

Irlanda'nel'1994,'lei'vinse'anche'2'riserve'di'CC‟s'e'dette'prova'di'essere'una'riproduttrice'fuoriclasse'producendo'con'

Loro (gli Small ndr) hanno ancora una coppia, madre e figlia le quali hanno guadagnato entrambe il proprio stud nos ,
con il figlio di Gala, B. Bombadillo buon vincitore fra i più giovani con 5 Best puppy vinti ad esposizioni di campionato ed
una delle sue figlie B. Galas Highland Trip, che è poi diventata campionessa in Australia.
Alan' è' veramente' molto' coinvolto' nel' mondo' dei' cani.' Egli' ha' fatto' parte' dell‟organizzazione dello Staffordshire B.
Terrier Club (Il Parent club di razza in UK ndr) dal 1979 al 2009, era il loro Show Manager e Vice-Chairman per molti
anni.
E‟'Presidente'contemporaneamente'del'Sedgley&'Gornal'Canine'Ass.'e'del'Birmingham&'Distric'Gun'Dog&'Terrier Club
e'uno'dei'fondatori'del'Border'Terrier'Club'd‟'Irlanda'ed'uno'dei'Vice'Presidenti'del Parson Russell Terrier Club.
Alan ha posseduto ed esposto ed allevato numerose razze di Terrier : Staffordshire B. T., Border T. , Parson Russell
T., Smooth Fox T. ed Australian Terrier. Ci sono campioni (Bethane ) di Border, Parson R. ed Australian T. così
come ci sono Campioni di Staffy in giro per il mondo.
Per quanto riguarda la carriera di giudice, Alan giudicò per la prima volta la razza nel 1978 a Tredegar & D.C.S. Il suo

il Gruppo ad esposizioni di campionato. Egli ha giudicato oltre 30 volte il Gruppo Terrier considerando anche 5 Best in
Show a mostre Specialistiche per razze Terrier.

Fox Terrier a Pelo Liscio & Pelo Ruvido
I have been involved with Smooth Fox Terriers all my life as my mother
Mary Blake bred them so they were always around. We had one or two
that lived in the house too. My grandfather was Frank Calvert Butler
and it was he that began the Watteau Kennel in 1909. I joined my mother
as her partner in the kennel in 1965, and together we tried to breed good Fox Terriers and I think we did very well.
We exported a lot of dogs to Europe, especially France and Italy, where Lilly Stella and Dr Dagradi had some of the
Watteau Smooths. I have been lucky enough to be invited to judge Fox Terriers in Sweden, Finland, Belgium, France,
Italy, Germany, Hungary, the U.S.A., Australia and New Zealand. I have been President of the Smooth Fox Terrier
Association twice and am currently President of The Fox Terrier Club. I can quite truthfully say that being involved in
Fox Terriers has brought me into contact with the nicest people from all over the world and I have enjoyed every

Io sono coinvolta nei Fox T. lisci da tutta la vita, poiché mia madre Mary Blake già li allevava cosicché essi furono
sempre in giro. Mio nonno era Frank Calvert Butler e fu lui che cominciò con l'affisso Watteau nel 1909. Io divenni
socia con mia madre nel 1965 ed insieme noi provammo ad allevare buoni Fox T. e penso che lo abbiamo fatto molto
bene. Abbiamo esportato molti cani in Europa, specialmente Francia ed Italia dove Lily Stella ed il dr. Dagradi ebbero
diversi Watteau. Io sono stata abbastanza fortunata da essere invitata a giudicare Fox T. in Svezia, Finlandia, Belgio,
Francia Italia, Germania, Ungheria, Stati Uniti, Australia e Nuova Zelanda. Sono stata il Presidente della Smooth Fox
Terrier Association due volte ed attualmente lo sono del Fox Terrier Club. Posso abbastanza veritieramente affermare
che l'essere coinvolta con la razza Fox Terrier mi ha tenuto in contatto con meravigliose persone di tutto il mondo ed io

At the age of 5, I welcomed our first West Highland White Terrier to the
family. I attended my first show at the age of 9 and have been exhibiting
ever since. As time goes by, I become more and more interested and
enthralled by the breed and terriers as a whole. During this period of time there has been many highlights, however
the'success'of'my'female'GB'Ch'Tomlyndon'Look'Of'Love'has'to'rank'highly.'Look'Of'Love'was'crowned'„Westie'Of'The'
Year‟'for'2008'at'the'competition'held'by'The'WHWT'Club'of'England.
One aspect of dog showing that I find so valuable is the ability to learn from every show. I enjoy showing across the
UK and also internationally where I have exhibited at shows in France, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Denmark &
Switzerland.
During my time in dogs, I have enjoyed handling other breeds, these have included a Scottish Terrier and a Border
Terrier, by doing so I feel improves my general knowledge of terriers as a whole. In westies, I enjoyed handling GB CH
Karamynd Play The Game to his first'9CC‟s,'including'Best'of'Breed'at'Crufts'2009.
I also serve on the Show Committee for three dog show societies, including National Terrier - UK.
In terms of judging, I take the role as a judge very seriously. I consider it a great honor to take on this role. So far
the'highlight'of'my'judging'career'has'included'a'club'show'here'in'the'UK.'Judging'of'the'Westies'at'the'„The'Black'&'
White‟'show'last'year'was'a'proud'occasion.'Future'appointments'include „The'West'Highland'White'Terrier'Club'of'
England‟ Open show 2012.
Away from dog showing, interests include Football, spending time with family and education. I have just completed a
Masters Degree in Computing & Education, which I hope in the future will support my career as a College Lecturer.
I feel privileged to be part of this famous event in Italy and look forward to my visit immensely.

esporre da allora. Mentre il tempo passa io divento sempre più interessato e coinvolto nella razza e nei terriers tutti.
Durante questo periodo di tempo ci sono stati molti momenti salienti, comunque il successo della mia Campionessa
Tomlyndon Look of Love deve essere'grandemente''considerato.'Look'of'Love'è'stata'incoronata'Westie'dell‟anno''del'
2008'alla'competizione'organizzata'dal'WHWT'Club'of'England.'Un'aspetto'dell‟esporre'cani'che'io'trovo'rimarchevole'
è'l‟abilità'di'imparare'da'ogni'show.'Io'apprezzo'esporre'attraverso gli UK ma anche a livello internazionale, dove ho
esposto a mostre in Francia, Belgio, Olanda, Svezia, Danimarca e Svizzera. Durante il tempo passato nei cani mi è
piaciuto'anche'esporre'altre'razze'fra'queste'c‟è'incluso'Scottish'Terrier'e'Border Terrier, dal fare questo io sento
aumentare le mie conoscenze generali di tutti i Terriers. Nei Westies mi è piaciuto esporre il Campione Karamynd Play
the'Game'durante'i'suoi'primi'9'cc‟s,'incluso'quello'di'Crufts'2009.
Io'faccio'anche'parte'dell‟organizzazione di 3 società di esposizioni, inclusa la National Terrier (UK).
In termini di giudizio, io ho preso il ruolo di giudice molto seriamente. Considero un grande onore prendere questo
ruolo. Cosicchè il momento più importante della mia carriera di giudice ha incluso un club show qui in UK. Giudicare poi i
Westies al Black & White Show dello scorso anno è stato per me motivo di orgoglio. I futuri appuntamenti includono Il
WHWTerrier Club of England Open Show 2012.
Fuori dal mondo delle esposizioni, gli interessi includono il Calcio, trascorrere tempo con la mia famiglia e la Pedagogia.
