There are three people on the balcony: two young women and a man. A man and a woman are standing, a woman is sitting on a stool. There’s a dog and a flowerpot. He has got brown hair and a blond moustache. He is tall, he isn’t fat. He has got a white shirt, a blue tie and a black jacket. He hasn’t got a jumper. She is sitting on a stool. She has got long curly black hair, black eyes and a small mouth. She has got a long white dress. She has got a green necklace and she has got a fan in her hands. She is young and nice. She hasn’t got blond hair, she has got black hair and black eyes. She isn’t short, she is tall. She isn’t old, she is young. She has got a hat with a big flower. She has got a long wihite dress, yellow gloves and black boots. She has got a green umbrella: it is closed There is a dog under the stool. It’s black and white, it’s small. It isn’t fierce, it is a good dog. There is a flowerpot on the balcony. There are some light blue flowers with big green leaves. The pot is white. ANIMALS IN ART Paul Gauguin (1848 – 1903) Arearea There are some women. There are two girls near a red dog. They have got black hair and black eyes. There is a tree and there are some plants. It’s a dog. It isn’t white or black or brown: it is a red dog! It isn’t fat, it is thin. It has got four legs, a long tail and small ears. It hasn’t got stripes or spots. It isn’t fierce, it is good Henri Rousseau (1844 – 1910) Jungle with monkeys and oranges There are lots of trees with oranges and lots of green leaves. There are some monkeys. There are four monkeys. They are brown. They have got two legs, two arms and a long tail. They like oranges! The flamingoes There are lots of trees with green leaves and lots of flowers. There are three people and four flamingoes. There are some flowers. They are yellow, pink and white. They have got big green leaves. There are four pink flamingoes. They are birds. They have got two long orange legs, a long neck, a big beak and two wings. They can fly. Tiger in a tropical storm There is a tiger and there are lots of trees. It’s stormy. This is a tiger: it’s big and it’s fierce. Its has got orange and black stripes. It hasn’t got spots. It has got four legs, a long tail, big claws, and big teeth. It can run fast and it can climb. It can’t fly. FOOD IN ART Carlo Carra (1881 – 1966) There is a yellow lemon, a jug and a coffee cup. The jug and the coffee cup are white There is a jug and a knife. There are four pears. They are green and red. Paul Cezanne (1839 – 1906) There is a green jug and two white plates. They are on a table. There are lots of cherries and seven apricots. The cherries are red and the apricots are orange. There are three lemons: one is yellow and two are green. There are four apples in a plate: they are red. Giorgio De Chirico (1888 – 1978) There is a red watermelon and an orange melon. There is a pineapple. There are five apples: two yellow apples and three red apples There is some fruit and vegetables. The grapes is black. There are three red peppers and one green pepper. There are some green leaves. There is a banana , some yellow and green grapes and two red apples. Pierre August Renoir (1841 – 1919) There are six brown onions. There is a piece of garlic: it’s white Do you like onions and garlic? Giovanni Segantini (1858 – 1899) How many vegetables! There are some turnips, some red tomatoes, two purple cabbages and four celeries. They are good for you! Vincent Van Gogh (1853 – 1899) In this yellow basket there are some potatoes. On this table there are four onions, a book and a candle. There is a bottle of wine and a jug. Obiettivi e metodologia l lavoro è stato svolto nell’ambito del progetto CLIL finanziato dal Comune di Borgaro Torinese. Inizialmente ai bambini è stato proiettato il quadro alla lim; in un brainstorming che ha coinvolto l’intera classe sono stati raccolti i vocaboli e le strutture necessarie per descrivere il quadro. A gruppi i bambini hanno lavorato su un quadro o su un particolare con l’obiettivo di esporre alla classe una descrizione orale. Dopo la parte orale, sempre a gruppi, i bambini hanno scritto i testi utilizzando come guida i vocaboli proiettati alla lim. I tempi per il lavoro sono stati scanditi dal cronometro della lim che ha permesso un utilizzo razionale del tempo. Questa è la sintesi finale del lavoro che è durato complessivamente 8 ore.
