BESTA” Sede coordinata di Civita Castellana PROGRAMMA DI LINGUA E CIVILTÀ INGLESE CLASSE: IV C A.S. 2012/2013 DOCENTE: SCARELLI VERA All’inizio dell’anno scolastico, alcune lezioni sono state dedicate al ripasso di strutture linguistiche di base (Simple Present, Present Continuous, Simple Past, Present Perfect Simple, Present Perfect Continuous). Sono stati trattati i seguenti argomenti (vengono indicati di seguito i corrispondenti paragrafi del testo in adozione: G. Zani, A. Ferranti, B on the Net, Milano, Minerva Scuola, 2011): I. PART ONE: BUSINESS COMMUNICATION Chapter 1 (Informal Written Communication): e-mails, the heading of an e-mail, e-mail addresses. Chapter 2 (Formal Business Letters & Faxes): business letters (con traduzione delle lettere), the parts of the letter, business language. Chapter 3 (Oral and Visual Communication): telephone calls. Chapter 5 (Marketing Tools): circular letters, advertising. A questi paragrafi va aggiunto “How to Analyze an Advertisement” di A. Asa Berger, reperibile al sito http://www.medialit.org/reading-room/how-analyze-advertisement Chapter 6 (Enquiries, Replies and Offers): initial enquiries, replying to enquiries, requests for catalogues, offers (con traduzione delle lettere), sending quotations (con traduzione), business language. II. PART TWO: BUSINESS THEORY Chapter 1 (The Framework of Business): the production process, the factors of production, commerce and trade, distribution channels, the impact of information technology on business, e-commerce, from the New Economy to the Green Economy. Chapter 2 (Home and International Trade): the contract of sale, import/export. III. PART 3: CULTURE SECTION Chapter 1 (Geographical Issues: UK): the British Isles, highland and lowland Britain, rivers and lakes, climate, the people, London. Chapter 2 (Social and Political Institutions: UK): a Constitutional monarchy, the Crown, Parliament, the Government, political parties, the Law Courts, the Churches, Education (cui va aggiunto articolo distribuito in classe).
