La Sabelt nasce nel 1972 come azienda produttrice di
cinture di sicurezza per il primo equipaggiamento. Nel
corso degli anni l’ampliamento dell’obbligatorietà delle
cinture anteriori e posteriori ha imposto sistemi produttivi
nuovi consentendo di consolidare, prima, e sviluppare
poi, una conoscenza estesa dei sistemi fibbia, dei nastri e
dei sistemi complessi di ritenzione. Tale base tecnologica
ha reso possibile la realizzazione di sistemi specifici
per le auto da competizione, in cui condizioni estreme
e necessità di sicurezza costituivano un compromesso
non facile da raggiungere. Raggiunta la leadership di
settore, Sabelt ampliava la propria gamma offrendo una
gamma completa di articoli per la sicurezza del pilota e di
accessori per sicurezza passiva del veicolo.
Grazie a questa crescita la Sabelt ha avuto la possibilità
di collaborare con le più importanti case automobilistiche
e con i migliori team al mondo in F1, GP2, F3, F3000, nel
campionato mondiale rally (WRC), nella Le Mans Series,
nei campionati FIA GT e nella NASCAR Series americana.
Oggi la Sabelt conta 110 dipendenti suddivisi in due
stabilimenti: l’headquarter di Moncalieri (TO), la
divisione produttiva e la unit logistica di Moncalieri (TO).
Tale struttura trasversale è dedicata allo sviluppo ed
implementazione di tre diversi business: Racing, OEM
(forniture di sedili di primo equipaggiamento) e cinture
applicazioni speciali.
Sabelt was born in 1972 as OEM manufacturer. Over the
years the expansion of mandatory front and rear seat
belts has imposed new production systems allowing
to consolidate first, and then developing, an extensive
knowledge of buckles, webbing and restraint systems.
This technology base allowed the creation of specific
system for race cars in which extreme conditions and
safety need were a quite difficult compromise to reach.
Reached the sector leadership, Sabelt extended its
catalogue offering a full range of products for drivers
safety and accessories for passive safety of the vehicle.
Thanks to this growth, Sabelt had the chance to
cooperate with the most important car manufacturers
and with the major teams of world in F1, GP2, F3 , in
world rally championship, in Le Mans Series, in Fia GT
Championship.
Today Sabet counts 110 employees divided in two plants:
Headquarter in Moncalieri (TO), Production department
and logistic unit in Moncalieri (TO). This transverse
structure is dedicated to the development and the
improvement of the three different business unit: Racing,
OEM ( supplying of seats for original equipment) and
special application seatbelts.

Sabelt ha sviluppato e implementato una nuova business unit dedicata
all’applicazione di cinture in mercati di nicchia, come quello Militare,
aerospaziale, dell’ aviazione, dei trattori o autobus e altri mercati in cui è
necessaria una personalizzazione dei prodotti.
Grazie all’esperienza quarantennale nel settore e ad un laboratorio
completamente attrezzato, Sabelt è capace di produrre e fornire cinture e
sistemi di ritenzione omologate per molteplici applicazioni.
Sabelt has developed and implemented a new business unit dedicated
to application of seatbelts in niche markets, such as Military, Aviation,
Aerospace, Tractors, Bus and many fields in which small customized
products for niche markets may be requested.
Thanks to a long-lasting experience in this field and to a fully equipped
laboratory ,Sabelt is able to produce and supply safety belts for several
different applications.

LE CONFIGURAZIONI: TUTTI I MATERIALI IN ALTERNATIVA
Il nuovo catalogo rappresenta una svolta, per la grafica, per l’offerta e per i prodotti. Per le cinture
da competizione abbiamo studiato le configurazioni più comuni e le varianti più richieste rendendole
disponibili con materiali alternativi, per peso, confort e costo, assicurando sempre lo stesso
livello di qualità e sicurezza. Le abbiamo organizzate in serie (Silver, Steel) proprio per porre
l’accento su come i materiali utilizzati determinino le diverse caratteristiche tecniche.
CONFIGURATIONS: ALL MATERIALS IN ALTERNATIVE
The new brochure is a turning point, for graphics, for supply and for products. For competition
harnesses we studied the most common configurations and the most popular variants making them
available with alternative materials, by weight, comfort and price, always ensuring the same
level of quality and safety. We have arranged them in series (Silver, Steel) just to lay emphasis on
how materials determine the different technical characteristics.
LA FIBBIA: SOLO ALLUMINIO E TITANIO
E’ stata ed è tecnicamente all’avanguardia come sistema di rilascio rapido multi punti. Abbiamo
fatto una scelta di qualità, continuando ad utilizzare per il corpo fibbia l’alluminio:
più pesante di altri materiali (alcuni tipi di plastica per esempio), ma più sicuro per le
migliori caratteristiche meccaniche e termiche. Ciò nonostante un attento calcolo strutturale
ha permesso di effettuare alleggerimenti nelle zone non portanti che hanno consentito un risparmio
di peso del 10%, che arriva al 14% nella versione F1 che utilizza particolari interni in titanio.
BUCKLE: ONLY ALUMINUM AND TITANIUM
It was and it is a technically advanced multi-point quick-release system. We made a choice of
quality, because we continue to use aluminum for the body buckle: it is heavier than
other materials (some kinds of plastic for example), but safer for better mechanical and
thermal characteristics. Nevertheless, a careful structural analysis has allowed us to lighten the
non-bearing areas; that has allowed a weight saving of 10%, reaching 14% in the F1 version that
uses titanium inner parts.
CINTURE
I NUOVI REGOLATORI IN ALLUMINIO
E’ la Sabelt che ha studiato ed introdotto il primo hardware per il confort di
regolazione in alluminio. Il sistema originale, ancora oggi in uso e all’avanguardia,
è stato rimodellato con l’obbiettivo di renderlo più leggero, senza ridurre il carico
massimo applicabile, più confortevole e più veloce. Una serie di calcoli strutturali ha
permesso di individuare le zone meno sollecitate, il cui scarico, poteva consentire
una riduzione di peso. La stessa procedura applicata alla leva di regolazione ne ha
reso possibile la realizzazione in alluminio (nel 2011 anche sul regolatore alluminio
la leva di sgancio era in acciaio). Il risultato è stato sbalorditivo: il peso del
vecchio regolatore era di 118 g, nella nuova versione sarà invece di soli
88 g (saving di circa 30 g a pezzo pari a circa il 30%). Solo questa evoluzione
consente nella configurazione con quattro regolatori alluminio un risparmio totale di
circa 120 g per cintura. Il nuovo dimensionamento del corpo ha consentito di ridurre
la forza necessaria ad azionare la leva stessa.
NEW ALUMINUM ADJUSTERS
Sabelt developed and introduced the first aluminum hardware for comfortable and
quick adjustment. The original system, still in use and with an advanced technology,
has been reshaped to make it lighter, without reducing the maximum load, more
comfortable and quicker. FEM calculations have identified the less stressed areas
that could be emptied to allow a weight reduction. The same procedure, applied
to the adjustment lever, has made possible the realization of an aluminum lever (in
2011 also the aluminum adjusters had a steel lever). The result was stunning: the
weight of the old version adjuster was 118 g, while the new version will be
just 88 g (with a saving of 30 g each piece, approximately 30%). This evolution
allows, in a configuration with four aluminum adjusters, a total saving of around 120
g for harness. The new shape of the body allowed to reduce the force required to
operate the lever.
I REGOLATORI IN TITANIO, ALLUMINIO E ACCIAIO
Vista la strategica funzione del regolatore, nel tempo, Sabelt ha ampliato le opzioni
disponibili. Oggi equipaggiano le nostre cinture regolatori realizzati in materiali
diversi, con diversi sistemi di regolazione per nastri da 2 o 3 pollici. Importantissimo
il peso: dai 68 g (titanio), 88 g (alluminio), 84 g (acciaio), 78 g (bufflug acciaio
con cover in plastica per nastro 2 “).
LE FUNZIONALITA’
La nuova gamma e la nuove offerta sono ora complete ed in grado di soddisfare
ogni necessità tecnica. L’inserimento di un regolatore supplementare sulle
bretelle (3-bar), consente di utilizzare per il fissaggio il moschettone
fornito di serie oppure, in alternativa, fissare direttamente la bretella al
roll-bar, oltre a permettere una seconda regolazione della lunghezza del nastro.
Sabelt è l’unica azienda a fornire la fibbia con “release” a doppio scatto per la
Formula 1 (disponibile su richiesta). Con il primo scatto si liberano dalla fibbia tutte
le lingue tranne una che tiene bloccato un ramo cintura mentre con il secondo scatto
si liberano tutti i rami permettendo quindi l’estrazione rapida del sedile in caso di
incidente.
FUNCTIONALITIES
The new range and new offers are now complete and able to meet all technical
requirements. The add of an additional adjuster on the shoulder straps (3-bar)
allows to use the standard snap hook or ti fix directly the shoulder strap to
roll bar, as well as allowing a second adjustment of the length of strap. Sabelt is
the only company to provide the buckle with double stage release for Formula
1 (available on request). With the first stage buckle releases all tongues except the
one that holds one strap while the second stage releases all straps permitting quick
release from the seat in case of crash.
IL PESO
Sulle vetture moderne, in cui il rapporto peso/potenza è particolarmente critico, è
di fondamentale importanza la riduzione del peso. E’ in quest’ottica che Sabelt ha
concentrato i propri sforzi di ricerca e sviluppo ed è in questo campo che sono stati
raggiunti i migliori risultati. Il nastro leggero, i materiali come titanio, magnesio e
alluminio, le soluzioni tecniche sugli hardware, hanno permesso di creare una
cintura omologata FIA che pesa 480 g, pur garantendo un livello di sicurezza
superiore al minimo richiesto dalla FIA. Ancora più importante: le soluzioni sono
tali da garantire riduzioni di peso significative su tutte le cinture e non solo
su quelle destinate ai professionisti, in tutte le fasce di prezzo.
WEIGHT
Given the strategic role of adjuster ,Sabelt extended available options. Today our
belts are equipped with adjusters in different materials , with different regulation
systems for 2” or 3” straps. Weight is very important: 68 gr. for titanium , 88
gr. for aluminum , 84 gr. for steel and 78 gr for plastic covered steel bufflug
for 2” strap.
On modern cars , where the power/weight ratio is particularly critical , it is very
important the reduction of weight. Sabelt concentrated all its efforts in R&D and it
is in this fields that has reached the best results . The light strap , materials such
as titanium , magnesium and aluminum , hardware technical solutions , permit to
create a FIA Standard belt that weights 480 gr. , granting a safety level higher
than the minimum required by FIA. Much important: the new solutions are
granting significant weight reductions on all belts range and not only to
belts intended for professional drivers and in all price renges.

E’ anche su questi componenti che la cura del dettaglio costituisce la differenza
rispetto a tutti i competitor. Le piastre, i regolatori bufflug e 3-bar, i moschettoni e gli
occhielli, le lingue, disponibili sia in acciaio, sia in titanio, sono sempre realizzati con
la massima cura, leggeri, con gli spigoli di taglio arrotondati e trattamenti superficiali
che li proteggono nel tempo.
ACCESSORIES
The attention and the cure of detail for all the components makes the difference
to all competitors. Plates , bufflug and 3-bar adjusters , snap hooks and eye-bolts ,
tongues ,available both in steel and in titanium , are always realized with maximum
care ,light , with rounded edges and treatments that will protect them over time.
Sono da sempre il primo obiettivo di Sabelt che per questo ha sempre scelto
di sovradimensionare tutti i componenti e di omologare, sia FIA, sia SFI, solo
configurazioni di cintura che garantissero resistenze ben superiori ai minimi richiesti.
Anche ponendosi obiettivi sfidanti per peso confort e performance, tutti i test sono
stati condotti con il preciso intento di non ridurre in alcun modo il livello di sicurezza,
mantenendo sempre, rispetto ai valori imposti dalla federazione, un proprio “margine
di sicurezza”, anche a costo di essere meno competitivi sul mercato.
ENDURANCE AND SAFETY
The first target of Sabelt that for this reason has always chosen to oversize all
components and to homologate ,FIA and SFI , only belt configurations granting
resistances higher than the minimum requested. Even challenging setting goals for
weight ,comfort and performance, all tests were made with the precise intent not to
reduce in any way safety level , always maintaining a “safety margin” ,even at the
cost of being less competitive in the market.

Il nuovo sedile GT-635 è stato sviluppato per uso Circuito e Rally.
La scocca, disponibile in 2 taglie, è frutto di un approfondito studio di
ergonomia atto ad assicurare la miglior posizione di guida per il pilota.
Il fondo piatto e l’inclinazione dello schienale favoriscono un
posizionamento ottimale in vettura, sia Circuito che Rally.
I doppi fori passa cintura presenti sullo schienale consentono di
scegliere tra due differenti altezze per il passaggio delle bretelle.
Le sezioni ergonomiche per le imbottiture (M su scocca piccola, L
e XL su scocca grande) sono direttamente derivate dalla rinomata
esperienza di Sabelt nella produzione di sedili da corsa per le più
importanti Supercar mondiali.
Il nuovo rivestimento offre zone di contenimento ad alto grip in PU
per migliorare la sensazione di guida unite ad aree in tessuto 3D

The NEW GT635 carbon fiber seat have been designed for Circuit and Rally.
The shell is the result of accurate ergonomical studies aimed to ensure
optimal position for the driver.
The shell is available in two sizes.
The flat shape bottom and the specific back inclunation design provide
proper fitting both on Circuit and Rally cars.
The double shoulders harness slots improve the fitting of different drivers

The new seat GT-625 has been developed for the specific use on the
track. A thorough study of ergonomics and numerous tests run in car
with professional drivers, have led to develop comfortable but also
constraining shapes, also suitable for people suffering from low back
pain. The double slots on the back allow to choose between two
different heights for the crossing of the shoulder straps.
To get smaller sizes or to increase locally the constraint, it can be used
a reduction kit that consists of 6 pads with velcro, to be applied at
the side of the shoulders, torso and thighs, with thikness of 20 mm
and available in two different densities: RFRID001 ( density 75) and
RFRID002 (density 28).
The seat is approved according to 8862-2009 FIA standard, the most
severe in terms of safety, for the use in GT and Tourism cars, and with
the RA8862019 sliding system.

condotti con piloti professionisti, hanno permesso di sviluppare delle
forme comfortevoli e al tempo stesso contenitive, adatte anche a chi
soffre di lombalgia. I doppi fori passa cintura presenti sullo schienale
consentono di scegliere tra due differenti altezze per il passaggio
delle bretelle. Per ottenere delle taglie più piccole o per aumentare
localmente il contenimento, sono disponibili anche due kit di riduzione
composti da 6 pad velcrati, da applicare lateralmente all’altezza di
spalle, busto e cosce, di spessore 20 mm e con differenti densità:
RFRID001 (densità 75) e RFRID002 (densità 28).

MAXIMUM SAFETY, MINIMUM WEIGHT
La nuova norma FIA 8862-2009 è nata per garantire, attraverso
l’incremento della rigidità della scocca, una maggiore ed omogenea
protezione per il pilota, idealmente inserito in una cella di sicurezza
completa, in cui tutti i componenti interagiscono. E’ per ottenere
questa riduzione della flessione della scocca che i pesi dei sedili sono
universalmente aumentati, causando un certo allarme fra i team, che
lavorano quotidianamente al contenimento peso delle scocche e degli
allestimenti. Il peso della scocca del sedile GT-621 è di 8,5 Kg, per
un peso totale (che include “impact absorber”, schiume, piastrine di

The new FIA specification FIA8862-2009 is born to grant, through
the increasing of body stiffness, a better and uniform protection of
the driver, ideally placed in a complete safety cell, in which all the
components interact.
It’s to obtain the reduction of shell flection that seats weights are
universally increased, causing some alarm among the teams, that daily
work to contain weight of bodies and settings.
The weight of GT-621 shell is 8,5Kg,, for a total weight (that includes
“impact absorber”, foams, fixing plates and cover) of less than 10 kg,
which puts this model at the top of the range.

Questo principio è stato alla base di uno studio attento che ha portato ad una scelta importante ed esclusiva: il confort non è legato alla
sola leggerezza, ma costruito attraverso alcuni strumenti e caratteristiche fra cui morbidezza, vestibilità, possibilità di movimento e

of a careful study that led to an important and exclusive choice : comfort is not only related to the lightness, but built using some tools
and features including softness, fit and breathability. On this last point Sabelt is the undisputed leader, thanks to Diamond fabrics or to
the new 110 gr/mq canvas, to the large cells of honeycomb inner layers and to the use of mesh instead of felts,light but not breathable.
