Ospedale Jason Sendwe
In 2012 the Governor of the Province of Katanga,
His Worship Mr. Moïse Katumbi Chapwe, commissioned the refurbishment of the Surgical Unit of
Jason Sendwe Hospital, a well-conceived structure built in the Sixties with 1250 beds, and thanks
to the financing of three local Companies (Gertler
Family Foundation, Kamoto Copper Company
and MUMI) SHD Italia could achieve this project
in Lubumbashi.
Nel 2012 il Governatore della provincia del Katanga, Sua Eccellenza Mr. Moïse Katumbi Chapwe, ha
commissionato la ricostruzione del Blocco Operatorio dell’Ospedale Jason Sendwe, struttura ben
concepita negli anni Sessanta con 1250 posti letto,
e grazie al finanziamento di tre Società locali (Gertler Family Foundation, Kamoto Copper Company
e MUMI) SHD Italia ha potuto realizzare questo
progetto a Lubumbashi.
SHD Italia was chosen by the Governor for a turnkey project which included the design, with the
cooperation with the Company Edile Construction, the production and installation of 5 Operating Rooms and relevant adjoining rooms to be
refurbished.
The Lindo® System was suitable for this aim thanks
to its exclusive properties which provide numerous benefits compared to conventional construction systems, not only for the construction of new
Surgical Units but also for their refurbishment.
SHD Italia è stata scelta dal Governatore per un
progetto chiavi in mano che comprendeva la
progettazione, con la collaborazione della Società
Edile Construction, la produzione ed installazione di 5 Sale Operatorie e relativi locali attigui da
ristrutturare.
Il Sistema Lindo® era idoneo a questo scopo grazie
alle sue esclusive caratteristiche tecniche che lo
rendono vantaggioso rispetto ai sistemi costruttivi
tradizionali, non solo per la costruzione di nuovi
Blocchi Operatori ma anche per la ristrutturazione
degli stessi.
As it was a turnkey project there were also the
supply and installation of:
-Surgeon pendants, scialitic lamps, operating tables complete of accessories, bed head
units, sterilizer, washer/disinfectors;
- Electric plant;
-HVAC plant (heating, ventilation & air conditioning);
- Water and sanitary system;
- Medical gas plant;
- Fixed and mobile hospital furniture.
The new Surgical Unit of the Jason Sendwe Hospital was inaugurated on 2nd April 2014, in the presence of the Governor, the financiers, the highest
office in the state, officers and a local crowd.

Trattandosi di un progetto chiavi in mano erano
comprese anche la fornitura e installazione di:
-Apparecchiature quali pensili chirurgo, lampade scialitiche, tavoli operatori completi di accessori, travi testaletto per preparazione/risveglio, sterilizzatrice, autoclavi;
-Impianto elettrico;
-Impianto di distribuzione e trattamento aria;
-Impianto idrosanitario;
-Impianto gas medicinali;
-Arredo ospedaliero fisso e mobile.
Il nuovo Blocco Operatorio dell’Ospedale Jason
Sendwe è stato inaugurato il 2 aprile 2014, alla
presenza del Governatore, dei finanziatori, alte cariche dello stato, funzionari e una nutrita comunità
locale.

of the Surgical Unit composed
of 5 Operating Rooms and
adjoining service facilities inside Jason Sendwe Hospital in
Lubumbashi.

stato utilizzato nella ristrutturazione del Blocco Operatorio costruito da 5 Sale e locali attigui
di servizio dell’Ospedale Jason
Sendwe di Lubumbashi.

point of healthcare facilities so
it’s important to create comfortable and modern surroundings, designed to allow the
surgery team to work with the
utmost functionality and offering high levels of protection for
patients.

OPERATING ROOMS
Self-loading prefabricated system with cladding panels in Antibacterial Asepsi SMS®
(Solid Mineral Surface®) manufactured in a
ISO 9001 certified regime.
Humanization of surroundings through the
use of materials, lighting fixtures and colours
that are rarely found in healthcare facilities.
ADJOINING ROOMS
Self-loading prefabricated system with cladding panels in Stratified HPL Laminate manufactured in a ISO 9001 certified regime.
Among the adjoining rooms there were also
a classroom for doctors’ lessons, preparation
room for surgeons and relevant toilets.
LINDO DOORS
The Lindo® System allows the integrated
and perfectly coplanar incorporation of airtight or hermetically sealed doors.
Doors can be hinged or sliding with one or
two leaves, with automatic or manual opening.
The same door types can also be installed
in conventional walls to create coordinated
aesthetics (and functionality) throughout
the entire department.
The Operating Rooms were completed with
the supply and installation of 24 manual, airtight, hinged Lindo® doors with one or two
leaves.

Impiego di sistema prefabbricato autoportante con pannelli di finitura in Stratificato di Laminato HPL prodotti da azienda certificata ISO
9001.
Tra i locali attigui realizzati vi erano anche
un’aula apprendimento per medici, il locale
preparazione chirurghi e relativi servizi igienici.
PORTE LINDO
Il Sistema Lindo® consente l’applicazione integrata e perfettamente complanare di porte a
tenuta o a tenuta ermetica.
Porte che possono essere scorrevoli oppure a
battente, a singola o doppia anta e ad apertura
manuale o automatica.
Le medesime tipologie di porta possono essere applicate anche su pareti di tipo tradizionale, per creare un’omogeneità estetica nell’intero reparto.
Le Sale Operatorie sono state completate con
la fornitura ed installazione di 24 porte Lindo®
battenti, manuali, a tenuta, a una o due ante.
