4. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
The above mentioned plug is a device studied to release high concentration sexual pheromone. Its
concentration is 50 times higher than the one used for monitoring food moths. It saturates the receptor
feelers of Plodia and Ephestia males, making them impossible to find the females. This disorientation avoids
mating and, consequently, the infestation proliferation.
It is composed of:
- White cellulose internal part, with high absorption and slow release;
- N.2 aluminium foil layers, to facilitate the pheromone release only from the sides;
- Sexual pheromone.
It is packed in laminated film and cardboard skillet.

5. HOW TO USE:
Place the plug on the factory walls or directly on the plants (inside the cases or on the external sides of the
plant), at maximum 1.8-2 m height.
The device must be used inside food industries, storehouses, supermarkets, mills, pantries and all those
places where it is stocked: wheat, cereals, biscuits, bread, pasta, chocolate, cocoa, candy, dried fruit, nuts
etc..
Theoretical covered area: 20-30 m2/plug.
Suggested monitoring period: all the year long.
Suggested frequency of the controls: change the pheromone dispenser after two months.
Storage conditions: in a cool and dry room, temperature below 25°C and R.H. below 55%.
If well stored (intact packaging), the product shelf life is 3 years. From the pack opening, the pheromone lasts
60 days.

- 3 pieces in laminated film, for a total of 5 packs.
7. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Waste disposal should be in accordance with existing Community , National and local regulations.
