all’8 all’11 novembre scorsi si è tenuta una kermesse di alto valore. Gestita egregiamente dal
Brand Manager, il dr. Rosellini, l’imponente
FieraCavalli di Verona, che ogni anno richiama cifre
impressionanti di visitatori, ha ospitato questa quattro
giorni davvero intensa, in cui si sono disputati il
Campionato Nazionale, prima, e l’Europeo nei successivi
due giorni, accentrando su di se i riflettori nazionali ed
europei per due competizioni molto sentite che tastano il

polso in attesa dell’evento dell’anno, il Mondiale, che si
terrà a dicembre. II dr. Francesco Santoro, presidente
ANICA e della Show Commission ECAHO, ha organizzato e messo in campo le sue risorse umane al gran
completo per far si che tutto si svolgesse al meglio, un
grande plauso quindi a tutta la segreteria Anica, a
Massimo Meldo, a Ivo Ludi, a Maurizio Rio e Gigi
Rota. Decisamente migliorato il fondo di gara rispetto
alle passate edizioni e questo ha permesso ai cavalli di
esprimersi meglio nel movimento. Un’idea sicuramente
molto positiva quella di affiancare al campionato
Europeo il campionato Nazionale, operazione già molto
ben riuscita ad Aachen in Germania. Alla Coppa delle
Nazioni, infatti, si è affiancato il Campionato nazionale
tedesco. Questo accorgimento ha permesso che anche il
pubblico straniero potesse vedere il nostro Campionato
italiano agevolando, così, sviluppi commerciali oltre che
dare ampio risalto alla qualità dei nostri cavalli.
Numerosi, inutile dirlo, i soggetti iscritti nelle due gare di
cui potete controllare i risultati nelle tabelle poste a fine
articolo. Per i p.s.a. che hanno partecipato ad entrambe le
competizioni è stato davvero un tour de force, complimenti ai presentatori che hanno dovuto fare “gli straordinari” dando sempre il meglio nonostante la stanchezza e
la tensione. Avvincente, come sempre, il Campionato

Championship to be held in December. Dr. Francesco
Santoro, President of ANICA and of ECAHO’s Show
Commission, made his whole staff available to ensure
that everything would run smoothly, so praise should be
given to the ANICA secretariat, Massimo Meldo, Ivo
Ludi, Maurizio Rio and Gigi Rota. The terrain was a
definite improvement on the previous editions, which
enabled many horses to move at their best. Combining
the National and the European Championship was a
brilliant idea, which had already been successfully tested
in Aachen (Germany), where the Nations Cup was
held in parallel with the German National
Championship. Thanks to this decision, the public from
abroad was able to see also the Italian championship,
thus fostering commercial relationships and giving
great prominence to the quality of our horses. Needless
to say, many horses participated in both competitions –
the results can be found at the end of this article. For the
PBA that took part in both events, it was a real tour de
force, so congratulations to the presenters who had to go
the extra mile to give their best, despite tiredness and
tension. Absorbing as usual was the final championship,
which did not skimp on emotions during the National
and the European event. The jury chosen for this

finale non ha risparmiato emozioni sia nel Nazionale che
nell’Europeo. La giuria scelta per l’occasione non ha certamente deluso le aspettative, visto l’onere che l’attendeva, sia per il nazionale con la partecipazione del sig. Peter
Gamlin, da sig. Francesco Sanchi, dal sig. Fausto Scanzi
e dal dr. Marek Trela, che per l’Europeo che ha visto in
campo la sig.ra Maria Ferraroni, il sig. Holger Ismer, il
sig. Jaroslav Lacina, dal sig. Willy Poth e dalla sig.ra
Renata Schibler. Ottimo il loro lavoro ma altrettanto
quello degli allevatori e dei proprietari di quei soggetti
che si sono imposti in categoria e nel campionato finale,
ottenendo il giusto riconoscimento delle molte fatiche
fatte negli anni. E così facciamo i complimenti all’allevamento Fontanella Magic Arabian per gli strepitosi risultati ottenuti nel Nazionale sia in categoria che nel campionato finale con la vittoria del titolo di campionessa
puledre con *Magic Mon Amour, di campione e riserva
puledri con *FS Al Shabha di proprietà di Enzo
Cacciapuoti e *FS Positano, e riserva stalloni con
Ghajariy, davvero una razzia di premi da aggiungere ad
una già nutrita bacheca. Per la gioia dell’allevamento
Arabian Star *OM El Bendigo, recentemente acquistato
da Piero Rocchino e famiglia, s’impone nel Campionato
Stalloni. Molti complimenti vanno anche al Training
Center Ca’ di Gianni e al sig. Angelo Scipioni, la sua
splendida *Nina El Shams si aggiudica il titolo di campionessa fattrici e successivamente venduta al Dubai
Arabian Horse Stud (UAE), mentre il titolo di riserva è
andato all’altrettanto notevole *Delicja De Helios di
Pietro Cutrona che ottiene anche un ottimo secondo
posto di categoria nel campionato Europeo. Anche questa splendida fattrice polacca è stata successivamente
venduta alla Dubai Arabian Horse Stud. Il titolo di riserva campionessa puledre è andato alla corretta *Pyrea
presentata da Giancarlo Buzzi dell’Az. Agricola La
Campagnola dei f.lli Motta, anche a loro vanno i nostri
più sentiti complimenti. Sempre avvincenti ma con qualità al di sopra di ogni aspettativa i futurity che hanno
visto un’altra vittoria per l’allevamento di Giancarlo
Buzzi, *Ali Moniscione ha infatti conquistato quasi all’unanimità il titolo. Notevole anche il Riserva Campione,
lo straight Egyptian *Nedel del Guado di proprietà di
Lobello Daniele. Per quanto riguarda il futurity femmine
altra soddisfazione per Giancarlo Buzzi a conferma che i
sacrifici vengono premiati, *Ajman Moniscione, lo stallone di casa Buzzi, ha prodotto infatti sia la campionessa
che la riserva futurity Italiana. La vittoria è andata ad
*Aljuba di proprietà dell’Azienda Agricola Buzzi, mentre

and owners of the horses that won the various categories
and the final championship, obtaining the well-deserved reward for their efforts over the years. We would
like to congratulate the Fontanella Magic Arabian stud
for their fantastic results obtained at the national, both
in the categories and in the final championship where
*Magic Mon Amour won the title of champion filly,
*FS Al Shabha owned by Enzo Cacciapuoti and *FS
Positano were named respectively champion colt and
reserve champion colt, *OM El Bendigo sold now to
Arabian Star of Rocchino family and *Ghajariy took the
champion stallion and reserve champion stallion titles –
they really scooped up many awards, which will be
added to their already long list of prizes. A big “well
done” goes also to the Training Center Ca’ di Gianni
and to Mr. Angelo Scipioni. His fabulous *Nina El
Shams was named champion mare and was subsequently sold to the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud. The reserve
title went to another remarkable mare, *Delicja De
Helios, which took also second place in her category at

Franco Grotteria, Riccardo Cocciante, Peppino Reina at the Show
la Riserva è andata a *Va Amira Bint Vivi già vincitrice in
show precedenti, di proprietà di Mauro Ranieri.
Da sottolineare che da quest’anno il Presidente Ecaho
Willy Luder ed il nuovo consiglio direttivo ECAHO,
che sta lavorando da mesi per apportare dei miglioramenti e rendere più fluido il lavoro di tutti, ha modificato
il regolamento del campionato europeo allargando la
partecipazioni a tutti i proprietari di qualsiasi nazionalità
purché i cavalli siano nati in Europa.
Dura lotta sul filo dei centesimi per aggiudicarsi un posto
d’onore nel campionato Europeo che premia, almeno nel
numero di risultati, i soggetti presentati dall’allevamento
polacco e soprattutto quello di Michalow (POL) che si
aggiudica i titoli di campionessa puledre con *Pistoria, il
titolo di riserva campionessa fattrici con *Zagrobla ed il
titolo di riserva campione stalloni con *Grafic.
Complimenti al più giovane, ma già molto quotato, allevamento degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, il Dubai Arabian
Horse Stud, la splendida *Psynata si aggiudica il titolo di
riserva campionessa puledre dopo aver conquistato lo
stesso titolo allo show di classe A di Borgloon. Il titolo di
campione puledri è stato conquistato da *Menphis 27 di
proprietà dell’Ajman Stud di Sh. Ammar bin Humaid al
Nuaimi (UAE) e l’all. Swanepoel (B), mentre il titolo di
riserva è andato al grigio *Hypnotic ibn Eternity della
Dion Arabians (B). Il titolo di campionessa fattrici è
stato conquistato da *Athenaa di S.A.R. Principe Sultan
bin Abdul Aziz (KSA). *BS Specific, di proprietà della
famiglia Dhombre (Fr), si aggiudica il titolo di riserva
campione stalloni.
Un arrivederci al prossimo anno, in attesa delle “sorprese”
che – di sicuro – porterà. ❏
the European Championship. Another great joy for the
owners of this stunning Polish-Arabian mare, the
Dubai Arabian Horse Stud. The reserve champion filly
title went to the correct *Pyrea presented by Giancarlo
Buzzi from the La Campagnola stud of the Motta
brothers, many congratulations to them as well. Always
fascinating but with a quality well beyond any expectations were the futurity horses that provided another
victory for Giancarlo Buzzi’s stud, *Ali Moniscione
won the title almost unanimously. Remarkable was also
the Reserve Champion, the straight Egyptian *Nedel
del Guado owned by Daniele Lobello. As for female
futurity, Giancarlo Buzzi could rejoice once again
thanks to breeding successes of *Ajman Moniscione, the
home stallion that sired the Italian futurity champion
and reserve champion. The winner was *Aljuba owned
by the Buzzi stud, whereas the Reserve title went to
*Va Amira Bint Vivi, winner of previous shows owned
by Mauro Ranieri.
It is worth pointing out that this year ECAHO’s
President Willy Luder and its new executive committee
has been working for months searching for newer and
more up-to-date rules, which amended the regulations
for the European championship opening it to the owners
of any nationality, provided that the horses were born
in Europe.
There was a neck-to-neck battle for a place in the
podium in the European championship, which rewarded, at least with regards to the number of results, the
horses presented by Polish breeders, particularly the
Michalow one (POL), which named *Pistoria as champion filly, *Zagrobla reserve champion mare, while
*Grafic took the reser ve champion stallion title.
Congratulations to the younger, yet already well established stud from the United Arab Emirates, the Dubai
Arabian Horse Stud. Its magnificent *Psynata won the
reserve champion filly title after taking the same title at
the “A ” show in Borgloon. Champion colts was
*Menphis 27 owned by the Ajman Stud of Sh. Ammar
bin Humaid al Nuaimi (UAE) and the Swanepoel stud
(B), whereas the reserve title was awarded to the grey
*Hypnotic ibn Eternity owned by Dion Arabians (B).
*Athenaa S.A.R. of Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz
(KSA) was named champion mare, while *BS Specific
owned by Dhorne (France) took the reserve champion
stallion title.
The rendezvous is for next year, with all the surprises
that the new edition will undoubtedly bring. ❏
