Disaster Relief for the
Earthquake victims in Italy
The devastating earthquake on 24th August, 2016
in Central Italy took away the lives of more than
290 people, left many hundreds seriously
wounded and many others homeless.
The
international community is generously rallying
together to help the victims of this natural
calamity at this moment of pain and loss. As we
pray for those affected by the disaster, we are
accepting donations in the Parish office to help
the victims. You can also donate online at
www.archtoronto.org or calling the Development
Office at 416-934-3411. Kindly be generous.
Mission Appeal 2016
Welcome to Fr. Michael Perniola!
Every year the Parish invites a missionary priest
who comes to speak about the faith of our
Brothers and Sisters who live in developing
countries. This year Very Rev. Fr. Michael
Perniola, the new Superior General of CFIC
will preach to us this weekend about the CFIC
missions. In the same weekend we will have a
second collection. Please be generous!
Let us welcome the new superior general during
his visit to our community and his priests serving
at our parish.

Il nuovo Superiore Generale
Il terremoto che ha devastato l’Italia Centrale il 24
agosto ha mietuto parecchie vittime, più di 290
persone, ne ha ferito gravemente diverse centinaia
e ha lasciato molta gente senza più casa. La
Comunità Internazionale ha generosamente
avviato i soccorsi per aiutare le vittime di questo
disastro naturale nel momento di dolore e perdita
di ogni cosa. Mentre preghiamo per le vittime del
terremoto, apriamo anche il nostro cuore alla
carità in soccorso delle stesse vittime. Le donazioni
sono accettate nell’ufficio parrocchiale oppore

Ogni anno la parrocchia ospita un missionario che
viene a informarci sulla realtà dei cristiani in paesi
in via di sviluppo. Quest’anno avremo fra noi il
Rev. mo P. Michele Perniola, il nuovo
Superiore Generale della Congregazione CFIC
che predicherà qeuesto fine settimana. Nello stesso
tempo avremo una seconda colletta a vantaggio
della missione di CFIC. Per favore siate generosi!

comunità ed ai suoi confratelli sacerdoti che

2017 First Communion Registration
Registration is now open. Registrations will take
place between the months of July and September
2016. Children who are in grade 2 should register.
A fee of $50.00 will be applied to cover the
expenses of books and other activities. A copy of
the Baptismal certificate of the candidate is
required at the time of registration. Forms may be
obtained in the Church office or on the Parish
website and can be returned during office hours.
Please note: Public school students have to
register as well.
Parent Information Meeting for
First Communion Candidates
There will be a mandatory meeting for parents of
First Communion Candidates who have been
registered. Please attend one of the meetings on
Thursday, October 13, 2016 or Monday,
October 17, 2016 at 8pm in the Parish Hall.
Marriage Preparation Course
Immaculate Conception Parish will be
starting the fall session of the Marriage
Preparation Course for Couples getting
married in our Parish between
January–July 2017 and it is open for all the 2017
marriages. Commencing with Information
Night on Tuesday September 20th @ 7:30pm in
the Church Hall.
