C24-GSM ALARM CONTROL UNIT (24 INPUTS) WITH INTEGRATED GSM COMMUNICATOR USER MANUAL ENGLISH DESCRIPTION C24 GSM is an alarm control unit with 24 inputs and integrated GSM communicator, which uses the existing cellular network to send SPEECH, Ademco CONTACT ID digital protocol and SMS text messages when triggered. The system is completely remote controlled and it can be programmed through a local keypad or by SMS text messages sent to the system. From keybaord it’s possible to listen which zones has been in alarm or which zones are not ready when arming. The main features of the system are: 24 Input Zones separately programmable and configurable ( 8 on board + 16 on remote input boards ) 8 Programmable O.C. outputs for remote and local ( by user’s menu on keypad ) switching of external devices 1 Total arming program 3 Partial arming programs Compatibility with S serie devices - up to 4 keypads - up to 2 remote inputs - up to 4 remote key plugs 12 user codes 8 telephone numbers that can be programmed for vocal and/or SMS notifications 8 telephone numbers that can be programmed for transmission of digital protocol Contact ID 200 telephone that can be programmed to control a single PGM output 1 STATUS Input (SYS) used to check a remote device’s state or for remote arming / disarming 1 Input with ON/OFF function that can be used for remote activation of the system (AWAY) 1 Input with ON/OFF function that can be used for partial remote activation of the system (STAY) 1 RESET Input for the local reset of alarm 1 Output for notification of GSM system ERROR 1 Output for notification of AWAY arming 1 Output for notification of STAY arming 1 LED for notification of GSM cellular network signal strength OK (Green LED) 1 LED for notification of GSM module operation (Yellow LED) 1 LED for notification of system error (Red LED) Simulated PSTN line, which allows to call with a normal touch tone telephone or connect an hardwired communicator 1 Output for RING simulation of entering calls, which can be used for connections with other devices User Menu operation guided by vocal prompts Possibility to trigger an output by calling the system from one of the programmed telephone numbers. Possibility to send SMS to the system from a certain telephone number to programme or change parameters, arm / disarm the system, enable/disable PGM outputs, query its status: to do any of these operations a password is required. Once the SMS has been received, the system sends an SMS back to the first number to confirm the action. Possibility to trigger one or more output by calling the system with a single ring from one of the programmed telephone numbers. System waits for a single ring and recognizes the associated telephone number, from which the call has been performed. Once the output has been activated the system will ring back the calling telephone to confirm the action. The operations carried out are divided into: ● user operation ● technical operation USERS OPEATIONS The user can arm / disarm the system, enable and disable (permanently or pulsed) outputs of the system, monitor all the inputs of the dialer, check the status (on / off) of equipment external to the dialer, change the personal code to access the voice menu, allow the installer to remotely reprogram the controller. USE OF SMS TEXT MESSAGES FOR REMOTE PROGRAMMING All the messages conveyed to the system must have a determined structure, otherwise programme it would fail. Firstly they must contain a “ declaration of personal code ”. Example: UPWD:111111 User Password , TPWD:000000 Technical Password If the message contains one or more values for the parameters, their structure must be the following: ID[.index] OPERATOR [value ] ID = is the parameter identified by an alphanumeric code (example: OUT is the command needed to change the status of an output, INMODE is the command to change Input Type). [.index] = is the number of ID previously mentioned, therefore this is the output, input, telephone, password, etc. number (example: INMODE.1 = INPUT 1 TYPE). Many IDs need the .index (e.g. IN.3, EXTTEL. 25, etc. ) but many do not (CPWD, LIFETEST, etc.). Operator = this brings about a certain operation on parameter identified by ID. : means entering, and is used for passwords (example: UPWD:111111) = means a setting (example: OUT.1=ON switches on output 1) ? is a request of information (example: IN.1=? Asks for the input 1 status) [value ] = indicates the commands that can be used; see the list below: ON OFF P O C B a b c = enable (outputs) = disable (outputs) = enable with pulse (outputs) = normally opened (inputs) = normally closed (inputs) = 1K EOL (inputs) = answer confirmation (on telephone numbers) = direct access to user menu (on telephone numbers) = automatic reset of the call cycle (on telephone numbers) www.amcelettronica.com 10 C24 GSM v1.5 At each SMS text message, the system can answer with different messages as feedback: OK *?* *LOCKED* FAIL ON OFF OP CL command carried out command non recognized no user authorization not possible to carry out the command (example: there are no privilege for its execution) refers to the enabled status of an output refers to the disabled status of an output refers to the open (enabled) status of an input refers to the closed (disabled) status of an input ARM / DISARM THE CONTROL UNIT VIA SMS In order to arm or disarm the system it is needed one user code of type “master”. SMS SYSTEM STATUS NOTIFICATION www.amcelettronica.com 11 C24 GSM v1.5 HOW TO WRITE A PROGRAMMING SMS To give a command through an SMS, a few simple rules must be taken into account. Programming SMS text messages can be sent by the technician (to set system parameters) as well as by the user. For example, if the second input needs to be associated to type EOL: UPWD:111111 LOCK=OFF this command enables programming through SMS for 20 minutes Now it is possible for the technician to give other commands, always preceded by the password: TPWD:000000 INMODE.2=B this command assign type EOL to the second input. As you see from the example, EACH COMMAND HAS TO BE SEPARATED FROM THE PREVIOUS AND THE FOLLOWING ONE BY AT LEAST ONE SPACE AND NO SPACE HAS TO BE PRESENT IN A SINGLE COMMAND. It is possible to have spaces other than for separating commands only in the case they are between quotation marks, as in the following example: Storing of telephone number 1 (with name) and options Answer Confirmation and Automatic Reset of the Call Cycle: TPWD:000000 TEL.1=”MARC MOBILE +393358554574 ac” From the example it is clear that a space has to be used between the telephone number and its options -if there are any-, therefore if you want to store a telephone number with relative options you have to use quotation marks. Quotation marks are also necessary to compose a text message: Example: programming an SMS for burglary at input 1: TPWD:000000 SMSTEXT.1=”Burglary at apartment Mr. Brown Tel. 02564887945” At each command the system will send one or more messages back including the results of the previous programming. For example if you send the following programming: TPWD:000000 INMODE.1=C INMODE.2=C INMODE.3=C VOXTEL.1=12345 VOXTEL.2=123 VOXTEL.6 =12 VOXREPEAT=3 In this example the technical password has ben entered; inputs 1, 2 and 3 have been set as NC; speech message 1 has been linked to telephone numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5; speech message 2 to telephone numbers 1, 2 and 3; speech message 6 to telephone numbers 1 and 2. At last the message repetition count has been set to 3. The system, after reception of the programming message, will immediately answer with an SMS as the following one: TPWD:OK INMODE1:OK INMODE2:OK INMODE3:OK VOXTEL1:OK VOXTEL2:OK VOXTEL6:OK VOXREPEAT:OK In case the system has not been enabled by the user for remote programming, it will send back the message LOCKED. In case the system is unable to perform a command (for example, user not authorized), will answer with FAIL. In case the system does not recognize a message (typing errors), it will answer with ? www.amcelettronica.com 12 C24 GSM v1.5 CALL AND PROGRAMMING WITH THE VOCAL MENU RECEPTION OF THE VOCAL CALL While receiving a vocal call from the system it is possible to perform several operations, depending on the programming (options) linked to the called number: NUMBER WITH NO OPTION: once the call has been answered, the dispatch is considered successful, therefore the system will call the following number. In case the user wants to enter programming, enter # before the dialler hangs up and then dial the personal code. REMARK: LISTEN AT LEAST TO THE FIRST 5 SEC. OF THE MESSAGE, OTHERWISE THE DIALLER WILL NOT NOTIFY THIS CALL AS SUCCESSFUL AND THEREFORE WILL CALL THE SAME PHONE NUMBER AGAIN. STOP A CALL WITH THE RESET CODE: once a call has been answered, PRESS # TO STOP THE MESSAGE AND DIAL THE RESET CODE (example #123#), the system will respond with the message “ call cycle stopped ”. NUMBER WITH OPTION “A” (ANSWER CONFIRMATION): In order to make the call to the number successful it is necessary to press #; if this is not done the system will call immediately the same number. In case the user wants to enter programming, he/she has to enter # and then dial the personal code. NUMBER WITH OPTION “B” (DIRECT ACCESS TO USER MENU): when the call is answered, after the message repetition, the system switches immediately to the user menu without asking the personal code. By pressing # the access will be anticipated. NUMBER WITH OPTION “C” (RESET OF THE CALL CYCLE): when the call is considered successful, the system will reset automatically the remaining calls. Important: when this option is activated, it is useful to activate option A as well, to be sure that the entire call cycle can be reset only by pressing #. NOTE: the above mentioned options can be entered for each telephone number; at each telephone number several options can be assigned. CALL TO THE SYSTEM ➣ If the answer is enabled, after the set number of rings, the system will accept the incoming calls, by keeping silent. ➣ Enter # and then enter the personal code. Confirm the code with #. ➣ If the code is correct the user will be introduced to the user vocal menu. USER VOCAL MENU The vocal menu can only be entered by calling the system, or when you are called by the system; it is not intended to programme, but for remote operating by users (system check, output activation). Menu 1 invites the user to arm the system. Menu 2 contains the commands to activate outputs: it is possible to enable (in steady or pulsed mode) and disable a single or more outputs.’ Menu 3 allow a user to check status of the inputs and SYS (enabled or open / disabled or closed) and of the outputs (enabled / disabled) in real time: their status are therefore listed by a synthesized voice. Input SYS is intended for real time status monitoring of remote devices, which are remotely switched by using the system outputs. It is also possible to record two messages corresponding to activation or shutdown (example: “alarm unit on”, “alarm unit off”). Menu 4 allow a user to connect with a remote system (example: intercom) for two-way telephone communication. When the command is activated, ring output will be activated (for ring simulation) and, simultaneously, the automatic voice will ask to wait. When the remote system is connected the automatic voice will tell that the connection has been established and that the communication will start. www.amcelettronica.com 13 C24 GSM v1.5 EVENTS LIST The following is a list of reported events by the system (EVENT MEMORY) “User n° ... access by plug” “Slave n° ... access by plug” “Slave n° ... access” “User n° ... access” “DTMF User n° ... access” “SMS user n° ... access” “Input n° ... alarm” “Low battery” “Input n° ... short-circuit” “Disarmed by plug” “Remote disarmed” “Disarmed by user n°...” “DTMF disarmed” “SMS disarmed” “Remote input n° ... breakdown exclusion” “Input n° ... breakdown exclusion” “Plug n° ... breakdown exclusion” “Keypad n° ... breakdown exclusion” “DTMF armed partial n° ...” “Total DTMF armed” “Remote armed partial” “Total remote armed” “SMS armed partial n° ...” “Total SMS armed” “Armed by plug partial n° ...” “Total armed by plug” “Armed partial n° ...” “Total armed “ “AC loss” “Remote input n° ... tamper” “Plug n° ... tamper” “Keypad n° ... tamper” “GSM failure” “Programming” “Call cycle reset” “AC recovery” “Re-armed by plug partial n° ...” “Re-armed partial n° ...” “Total re-armed by plug” “Total re-armed” “Input n° ... cable-cut” “System tamper “ “Tamper line” www.amcelettronica.com 14 C24 GSM v1.5 www.amcelettronica.com 15 C24 GSM v1.5 Our products/systems comply with the essential requirements of EEC directives.
