La Politica methodice digesta
di Johannes Althusius (15631638), pubblicata nel 1603,
incontra oggi un interesse
scientifico crescente, a livello
europeo e mondiale. Essa è
stata oggetto di valutazioni
varie e contrastanti: teoria
della consociazione politica
articolata federalmente e del
diritto di resistenza o teoria
della disciplina, dell’ordine e
della subordinazione? Precorrimento del
Contrat social, oppure mera teoria della
ständische Gesellschaft? Riflessione antici-
patrice di una modernità antiassolutistica, oppure teorizzazione legata a ordinamenti
esclusivamente premoderni?
Qualcuno legge anche l’attuale struttura costituzionale
UE come un ordinamento
consociativo althusiano. Attraverso i termini-chiave dell’opera il Lessico della Politica
di Johannes Althusius si sforza di
contribuire alla informazione
su numerose questioni interpretative ancora aperte e di arricchire così la ricerca
althusiana internazionale.
Johannes Althusius’ Politica methodice digesta of 1603 has been interpreted in many diverse
ways: theory of federally centered political union with right of opposition, or theory of disciplined
subordination? Precursor of the Contrat social or a mere theory of the ständische Gesellschaft? Does
it anticipate modern anti-absolutism or is it a theoretical structure based exclusively on pre-modern
concepts? Some even see the present constitutional structure of the EU as a sort of Althusian political
union. These questions, as well as possible new interpretations, are discussed in the present volume.
