Descrizione degli obiettivi in termini di conoscenze, competenze, capacità
Conoscenze
Lingua inglese: consolidamento e approfondimento linguistico e lessicale. Conversazione basata su
materiali diversi, anche scelti dagli alunni (testi, video, canzoni, ecc.), su temi concordati in classe, a
partire dalla seconda metà del primo periodo.
Letteratura: storia della letteratura in inglese dal Romanticismo al tardo Vittorianesimo, con cenni anche
alla letteratura degli Stati Uniti; ripasso e approfondimento della microlingua letteraria; testi letterari di
autori di lingua inglese classici, adeguati al livello della classe; visione di spezzoni di film o film interi
basati sulle opere letterarie studiate, anche con confronto tra versioni diverse.
Competenze
Generalmente si auspica che già al termine del quarto anno gli alunni siano in possesso almeno delle
competenze linguistiche previste dal livello B1 del Framework Europeo, ma diversi si dimostrano già in
grado di poter raggiungere anche le competenze, orali e scritte, previste dal livello B2, o dal livello C1.
Capacità
Al termine del quarto anno di corso l’alunno saprà:
 esprimersi in inglese in contesti via via sempre più complessi;
 esprimere opinioni su fatti di attualità;
 presentare e commentare testi letti, film o programmi TV visti, in forma orale;
 presentare e commentare testi letti, film o programmi TV visti, in forma scritta;
 parlare di argomenti relativi alla civiltà dei paesi di lingua inglese e dell’Italia;
 riconoscere, all’interno di un testo scritto o orale, le caratteristiche che ne determinano la tipologia;
 individuare il senso globale e riconoscere le informazioni principali di un testo, letterario e non;
 cogliere alcuni elementi culturali specifici impliciti nei testi letti o negli audiovisivi visti.
