from digital art to painting, and

Her works reinvent the Italian Reinassance
according to the Japanese micropop
paradigms, being highly influenced by
the icons of Consumerism. As she states:
“Today everything is global and fast. Fast
Food, Fast Fashion, Fast Transpors, Fast
Entertainment: Trademarks overwhelm
us everday. They depict the reality of life,
and for me there’s a deeply poetic meaning
within this.” This is the concept of “Botticelli
- The Birth of Venus with Baci, Esselunga,
Barilla, PSP and Easy-Jet”, in which
the ancient goddess of Love rises from a
portable consolle instead of the ordinary
shell, sourronded by chocolate and low-cost
company airplanes. “The originals scenes
come from an age uncostrained from the
logics of Capitalism, so it was natural to me
to bring them alive and relocate them in a
postmodern background.”

art alla pittura, fondendo elementi
visivi di matrice asiatica con altri
marcatamente occidentali. Le sue opere
rielaborano i capolavori del Rinascimento
italiano in chiave “micropop”, sostituendo
i miti classici con le icone della cultura di
massa. “Oggi tutto è globale e veloce.” afferma l’artista - “Fast Food, Fast Fashion,
Fast Entertainment, Fast Transports.
Siamo di fatto circondati da marchi, il cui
significato si è esteso fino a rappresentare la
realtà. Personalmente trovo in tutto questo
un senso profondamente poetico”. Nasce
così “Botticelli - la nascita di Venere con
Baci, Esselunga, Barilla, PSP ed Easy-Jet”,
in cui l’antica Dea dell’Amore sorge da una
consolle portatile, circondata da cioccolatini
e aerei low-cost. “Gli originali risalgono
ad un periodo in cui l’opera d’arte non era
contaminata dalle logiche capitalistiche, per
cui mi è sembrato naturale attualizzarle,
ricollocandole in un nuovo contesto, che
traspira postmodernità.”

yet eco-compatible products”. As Giuseppe
Iavicoli himself points out: ”All the products
we have deisgned are based on the main
concept of puzzle tabs, which symbolize
cooperation among social parts. This is a
translation of our own vision of a responsible
design, in a peaceful setting, in which all
parts work together for the public interest,
recognising in this latter the true warranty
of any individual success”.

impegnati su ‘Puzzle One
Planet’, un progetto di design
a scopo umanitario che mira a superare il
Guinness dei Primati. Si tratta di un’enorme
installazione progettata per l’Expo di
Milano del 2015, in cui la tessera di un puzzle
diverrà potente strumento di comunicazione
in favore di comportamenti sociali e
ambientali sostenibili.
“Per noi il design è sostenibilità, rispetto
per l’ambiente ma anche imprenditoria
responsabile, capace di supportare la
libera espressione artistica e la creazione
di prodotti funzionali ed eco-compatibili”.
Nelle parole di Iavicoli: “Tutti i prodotti
elaborati condividono il tema del puzzle,
che intende simboleggiare la collaborazione
sociale. È la nostra concezione di un design
responsabile, in una realtà pacifica, le cui
parti si coordinano per ottenere il bene
comune, riconoscendo in quest’ultimo la vera
garanzia per ogni successo individuale”.

Deep into the Many Shades of

Antony Morato reinterpreta l’heritage di oltre duecento anni
di storia del denim, imprimendo il proprio marchio su questo
capo senza tempo. La collezione Denim Fall Winter 2013/14 è
infatti ispirata da vissuti e culture legati a doppio filo a questo
tessuto iconico, che, vestendo la colorata ribellione giovanile,
è stato più volte capace di cambiare il mondo.
Antony Morato reinvents the heritage of over two hundreds
years of denim history, branding this timeless garment. Being
true to these roots, the Fall Winter 2013/14 Denim collection
is inspired by stories and cultures strictly connected to this
iconic fabric, which dressed out the colourful youth rebellions
and managed to change the world in many occasions.
