Dear gliding friends,
the Aero Club of Rieti will host the 2016 edition of the Coppa Internazionale del
Mediterraneo, a competition for sailplanes divided in as many classes as possible, ref. the
IGC definitions; if in any IGC class the number of entries will be deemed insufficient by the
organisers, the corresponding sailplanes may be required to join the next most relevant
class. All the competition classes will be sanctioned according to the IGC Ranking List.
CIM classes:
- Club (no ballast, handicapped)
- Standard (and National Championship)
- 15 m (and National Championship)
- 18 m
- 20 metri Biposto (handicapped)
- Open (and National Championship)

How to send your Entry Form
The number of competing sailplanes is
limited to a max. of 90.
Payments and the Entry Form must be
submitted within March 31, 2016 at
[email protected]
Please specify “CIM2016” in the object of
any communications you will send us.
The payment is necessary to validate the
Entry Form. If the number of entries
reaches 90 before the set date, the entries
will close immediately and a waiting list
will be started. In this case, the pilot will
wait for a mail from the organization
before sending the payment of his Entry
Fee.
Cancellations
For cancellations received:
- within May 31, 2015
we’ll refund 100% of your Entry Fee;
- during June 2015
we’ll refund 50% of your Entry Fee;
- later that June 30, 2015
no reimbursement will be possible.
Penalties
A Roll-Call will be performed at the First
Briefing on July 31st, 18.30hrs. Pilots who
are unable to attend must inform the CD
who, if possible, will arrange a
personalized schedule. Failing to attend at
briefing without the CD’s agreement,
invalidates the Entry Form and no refund
will be possible.
Safety devices
The installation of a traffic advisory device
such as Flarm, DSX or compatible is
highly recommended, and if available
must be used during the whole duration of
each flight.
A localization device such as ELT, PLB,
Spot or similar, is compulsory equipment.
IGC files
IGC files must be submitted to the scoring
office via e-mail, or on a storage device
(USB pen drive, SD card).
