Konokono beach resort is located on the Michamvi Peninsula, on
the South East Coast of Zanzibar - one of the most authentic and
secluded places on the island. With its 10,000 square meters of
white pristine beach, the resort is a quiet paradise offering privacy
and tranquility in the heart of nature. In this quiet surrounding you
will find all the modern luxuries such as a beach bar, restaurant,
pool and spa which were designed with your comfort in mind.

Konokono’s 24 villas are nestled discreetly in 5 hectares of lush, natural surroundings, and were
designed to make their guests enjoy a peaceful experience. There are thee types of villas: Sea
view villas, Garden view villas and Family villas. Beside the private garden with plunge pool, each
villa boasts an array of amenities such as air conditioning, LCD TV, mini bar, coffee and tea facilities
and private safe.

The four Sea view villas overlook the beautiful Chwaka Bay. Each of the villas covers an area of
135 m2 (an 85-m2 interior and a 50-m2 patio) with amazing ocean views and a king-size bed, and
to ensure you enjoy the picturesque, romantic sunsets there is a patio designed for two, which
includes a garden with a private plunge pool.

The Garden view villas offer the luxury of a unique location and the privacy of your own personal
garden, which is ideal for immersing oneself in the serenity of the protected forest of Konokono.
Each villa covers an area of 135 m2 with a 50-m2 external patio, king-size bed or twin beds and a
garden with plunge pool.

Family villas
Tranquillity, privacy and safety for the whole family. Each of the two 135-m2 Family villas includes
a 85-m2 interior and a 50-m2 external patio with garden and plunge pool, and is characterised by
large areas, modern amenities, quiet and leisure opportunities in close contact with nature, the
ideal setting for a peaceful experience for everyone. The comfort is ensured by the room with kingsize canopied bed and the spacious living area capable of hosting two single beds.

di interni e 50 m2 di patio esterno), con giardino e piscina, dispone di ampi spazi, moderni servizi,

The pool at konkono is an oasis of relaxation. The white and blue hues of the pool mirror the colours
of the sea and its vast white beach stretching several kilometres. Guests can enjoy long private
walks along the beach surrounded by lush forests, at the end of the day beautiful sunsets will
provide the perfect setting for sundowners.

Conservation program
General information
Konokono loves and respects its host environment. For this reason it has created its Conservation
Program, aimed at preserving the delicate balance of fauna and flora, which covers more than
40% of the resort’s surface. In Konokono and in the Jozani Forest- Chwaka Bay Conservation Area
you can admire many protected species, including the elephant shrew, the red colobus monkey
and the Aders duiker.
Zanzibar, also called The Spice Island, is part of Tanzania and it is composed of the Zanzibar
Archipelago. The Konokono resort is located on the Michamvi peninsula, in the southeastern
part of Zanzibar, and overlooks the wonderful Chwaka Bay. The equatorial geographical position
is responsible for an average temperature of around 25° C. There are two dry seasons: from
December to March and from June to October, when temperatures can reach over 30° C, and
two rainy seasons: from mid-April to May and in November (“short rains month”). The time zone is 3
hours ahead of GMT. The Konokono resort is open 12 months a year.

equilibrio della flora e fauna locali. A Konokono e nel parco nazionale Jozani Chwaka Bay è
possibile ammirare moltissime specie protette, tra cui il leopardo di Zanzibar, la scimmia detta
colobo rosso e il cefalofo di Aders.
Zanzibar, chiamata anche Isola delle Spezie, è parte della Repubblica Unita della Tanzania, e
corrisponde geograficamente all’arcipelago omonimo. Il resort Konokono si trova sulla penisola
di Michamvi, nella parte sudorientale di Zanzibar, e si affaccia sulla suggestiva Chwaka Bay. La
posizione geografica equatoriale genera temperature medie di circa 25° C. Il clima è suddiviso in
due stagioni secche: da dicembre a marzo e da giugno a ottobre, con temperature fino a 30° C,
e due piovose: da metà aprile e maggio e in novembre (lil mese delle “piccole piogge”(. Il fuso
orario di Zanzibar è UTC/GMT +3:00. Il resort Konokono è aperto 12 mesi all’anno.
