Università degli Studi di Roma “Tor Vergata” DIPARTIMENTO DI GIURISPRUDENZA Ufficio Erasmus+ ANNEX II (Decreto Rettorale 99/2015 DEL 15/01/2015) DEPARTMENT OF LAW SELECTION AND EVALUATION OF APPLICATIONS STUDENTS ENTITLED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR THE ERASMUS+GRANT Applications shall be submitted by students regularly enrolled at least in the second year of their study course in the academic year of reference. Students departure shall respect regulations of the host Country and follow student's acceptance by the host University. MINIMUM STAY ABROAD The minimum period of stay in the host University is 90 days. A shorter period shall not be considered as "Erasmus+ Status" and possible amounts received shall be returned. DEADLINES AND ASSIGNATION PROCEDURES Students shall fill in on-line applications at the following link http://torvergata.llpmanager.it since January 16th to February 28th, 2015. The pass-list created in accordance with agreed criteria by the evaluating Commission named by the Department shall be valid for an academic year (the period of the Erasmus grant varies according to the host University). The pass-list will be available: on the website http://torvergata.llpmanager.it on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/erasmusgiurisprudenza.torvergata. in the notice board of the Erasmus+ Departmental Office. Appeals against pass-list creation shall be justified and submitted in writing to the evaluating Commission within 7 (seven) days since list publication. Selected students shall accept the Erasmus+ grant in the framework of a meeting that will be held in March 2015. The date of the above-mentioned meeting shall be communicated by posting a notice in the notice board of the Erasmus+ Departmental Office and by publishing it on the following web pages: http://torvergata.llpmanager.it https://www.facebook.com/erasmusgiurisprudenza.torvergata. Non-acceptance of grants shall determine grants loss. In order to be entitled to health care abroad, selected students for the Erasmus+ grant shall have the Health Care Card issued by the Municipality of residence. Disability shall be formally accepted by the host University. In order to obtain facilities, disabled students can submit, within the limits fixed by the Law and together with the on-line application, a further application on unstamped paper to the Erasmus+ Departmental Commission within May 5th, 2015 by attaching specific documents. In order to obtain the first instalment of the grant, at their arrival students shall submit the “Registration and stay confirmation” form or “Annex A”; instructions provided in the form shall be respected. The form will be made available at the moment of signing the contract together with a number of other annexes. Students selected for an Erasmus+ grant may ask, before ending, to extend their stay for study reasons. A request specifying reasons for extension shall be made on the form available at the following link http://torvergata.llpmanager.it/. The request form shall then be sent to the Erasmus+ Office of the Faculty of Law. This office shall then forward the request to the Person in Charge of the Erasmus+ Office of the University, Gianfranco Tarquini. Please note that payment of the grant for the additional period is not guaranteed. At the end of the academic year, the Person in Charge of the University Erasmus+ Office shall evaluate possible remaining funds to be used for grants extensions. After return, students shall deliver to the University Erasmus+ Office (for the attention of Gianfranco Tarquini), original certificates (“Registration and Stay Confirmation” or “Annex A”) for the months spent abroad. To be recognized, exams must be considered equivalent and have been previously authorized by the Council. Exams listed below shall only be taken in the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, Department of Law. Therefore, they cannot be taken in other Universities. For students of the New University System (i.e. Nuovo Ordinamento) also suitability exams for foreign languages (6 or 3 credits) and the exam on juridical language in foreign languages are recognized. Participation in the Erasmus+ project (excluding students who renounced the grant) and the exam on juridical language in foreign languages entitle students to one additional point to the graduation mark. Marks of the exams passed abroad shall be converted according to specific tables approved by the Departmental Council. For recognition of exams passed in the host University, students shall submit: - the original certificate (Annex 1) attesting the number of months spent abroad; - the “Final Report” on the experience abroad; the University Erasmus+ Office shall issue an authorization to be submitted to the Department Erasmus+ Office. ACQUISITION OF CREDITS In accordance with directions of the EU Commission, the University requires that students of the New University System (i.e. Nuovo Ordinamento) shall obtain at least 1/3 of the total credits (CFU) provided by the current didactic system for one year. Since the total amount of credits to be obtained in one year is 60, students who attend courses abroad shall obtain at least 20 credits (Ministerial Decrees N° 509/99 and 270/04). If this result is not achieved, the University shall not pay the Erasmus+ grant and possible amounts already paid shall be returned. At least two years are required to students of the Old University System (i.e. Vecchio Ordinamento). Credits acquisition is not required to PhD students who obtained an Erasmus+ grant. The Erasmus+ Commission shall evaluate each single case.
