Milan, Politechnico 13 – 14 May I, Lionardo da Vinci… An exhibition which looks at Leonardo’s Milanese period (1482 – 1499): at the centre point is the contract for The Virgin of the rocks which the Maestro signed on 25 April 1483 and which is a testimony of his presence in the city. The document highlights the rapport between Milan, its duchies, and the protagonists of the Renaissance.. Milan, Acquario Civico 20 May – 6 September At the table of Messer Leonardo: song, verse and food at the Corte del Moro Three days of celebration at the Court of Ludovico il Moro in the convivial atmosphere of the Milan of the Sforzas and of Leonardo da Vinci: games, light-hearted sonnets, reflections on love, faith and politics, all accompanied by poetry, the voices of the Gruppo Vocale Chanson d’Aube and food and wine from the Azienda Agricola Zipo. Milan, Fondazione Stelline 27 May – 31 October Film review on Leonardo and Giotto DISCOVERTHE LEONARDIAN SIGHTS Castello Sforzesco, Sala delle Asse MILAN AND LEONARDO Leonardo. A life At Castello Sforzesco, for ExpoinCittà the “Sala delle Asse” will be reopened to the public, showing the enormous trompe l’oeil created from a project by Leonardo da Vinci, which conserves to this day precious signs of the master’s hand, which were uncovered following an important restoration project. The multimedia presentation created especially for Expo (using projections, holograms and spot lighting) is an unmissable opportunity to discover the magic of the Sala and the genius of Leonardo, who worked for years in Milan and in this castle, leaving important testimonies of his art. Castello Sforzesco, Sala della Balla The Sala della Balla at Castello Sforzesco will host, for the period of Expo 2015, two touch screen stations which offer the chance to study a virtual copy of the CodexTrivuzianus by Leonardo da Vinci (1480 – 1490). Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, Cenacolo Vinciano Santa Maria delle Grazie is “Home” to The Last Supper by Leonardo, the celebrated painting by the Maestro in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie which was commissioned by Ludovico il Moro and painted between 1494 and 1497. The exhibition The mind of Leonardo. Drawings by Leonardo from the Codex Atlanticus open from 10 March to 31 October, offers a core of 88 pages, some from the Codex Atlanticus and others conserved loose in the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, which illustrate the wealth of the themes studies by Leonardo da Vinci, to reconstruct his activity and help to understand the personality of the multi-faceted genius. The magnificence of the Corte Sforzesca (from 15 May to 28 September) the Museum seeks to highlight its permanent collections, in particular the pieces created for the Sforzesca court in the last decades of the 15th century, to underline the influence and the rapport that these works had with Leonardo da Vinci.
