FRANZA GROUP | WHO WE ARE
Nato negli anni ’50 nel settore dell’edilizia privata, il Gruppo Franza diversifica la
sua attività a partire dagli anni ’60 dedicandosi alla gestione del collegamento
navale (privato e commerciale) tra Messina e Villa San Giovanni e la Sicilia con
le Eolie; negli ultimi anni intensifica lo sviluppo della parte armatoriale con la
tratta Messina-Salerno diventata la prima “Autostrada del Mare”.
Lo sviluppo dell’attività armatoriale ha nel contempo consentito una politica
di diversificazione delle attività del Gruppo che è andato ampliandosi con la
nascita di società di progettazione e gestione di immobili e con il potenziamento
del settore turistico, sino all’avvio in anni recenti della divisione industriale
“environment” attraverso la nascita dell’ESI e, inoltre, con la costituzione nel 2008
della “Mandarin Wimax Sicilia Spa”, per la gestione della frequenza a banda
larga WIMAX per il territorio siciliano.
With activities starting in the 1950’s in the private building sector, the Franza Group
began diversification in the 1960’s, dedicating itself to the management of the
private and commercial naval links between Messina and Villa San Giovanni, as
well as between Sicily and the Aeolian Islands; in recent years it has intensified
development of its shipping sector with the opening of the Messina – Salerno, which
has become the first “Sea Motorway”.
Development of the shipping activities has in the meantime allowed the group to
pursue a policy of diversification that has increased with the establishment of a
company dedicated to property planning and management, the expansion of the
tourism sector and in recent years the development of ESI, the group’s environmentally
orientated industrial division and the establishment in 2008 of “Mandarin Wimax
Sicilia Spa”, the WIMAX wide band frequency concessionary for Sicily.

Il Gruppo Franza opera principalmente nei seguenti settori di attività:
• Armatoriale, con la gestione del servizio di auto-traghettamento nello Stretto di Messina
(tratta Messina – Villa S. Giovanni), nella tratta Milazzo - Isole Eolie ed ha avviato lo
sviluppo della “Autostrada del Mare” con la tratta Messina - Salerno;
• Turistico, con la gestione diretta di strutture alberghiere e servizi di consulenza e
management nel settore dell’hospitality;
• Immobiliare, con attività legate sia alla progettazione, costruzione, gestione e trading di
immobili residenziali, commerciali, turistici;
• Environment, attraverso una divisione industriale (la ESI) dedicata al recupero di batterie
esauste per il riutilizzo delle materie prime quali ad esempio il piombo;
• TLC, per la gestione della frequenza a banda larga Wimax per il territorio siciliano.
The Franza Group’s operations are principally focused in the following areas:
• Shipping, with the management of the car ferry services on the Straits of Messina
(between Messina and Villa S. Giovanni) and on the Milazzo - Aeolian Islands route. It
