The members of the chamber music ensemble EPOCA BAROCCA have in common a passion for baroque music played on original instruments. At the heart of their repertoire is the sonata for three or four instruments and thorough bass, usually from the period spacing from Antonio Caldara to Jan Dismas Zelenka. The group has been performing since 1994 with great success from audiences and critics, participating in important musical programs such as Amici della Musica di Firenze, Bodensee Festival, Festival Mitte Europa, Musica e Poesia a San Maurizio (Milano), Festival di Musica Antica di Praga, Accademia Bartolomeo Cristofori (Firenze), Fränkischer Sommer, Feste di Apollo (Parma), Associazione Musicale Romana, Festival van Flaandern, Musikfest Bremen and Rheingau Musik Festival. EPOCA BAROCCA often includes less well-known composers in its programs, thus bringing back to light musical excerpts that have undeservedly been forgotten; these works have been recorded for radio broadcasts and a number of albums. The ensemble works with singers and other soloists, performing in a great variety of formations.
