STORIA / HYSTORY
Fondata nel 1974 come fabbrica di produzione di bastoni in legno
per la montagna, sulla scia di una secolare tradizione del loco dove
la sede è tutt’ora ubicata, ITALBASTONI diventa nel corso degli anni
80 e 90 leader in Iatlia nella produzione di bastoni per ortopedia e
uso sanitario, di aste e impugnature per ombrelli (sia in legno che
in plastica) e contoterzista nello stampaggio ad iniezione di materiali
polimerici.
Agli inizi degli anni 90 ci avviciniamo al mondo dello sci e dell’outdoor
con la realizzazione dei primi modeli di bastoncini da sci e da trekking.
Ci troviamo a Taio, in Val di Non, ai piedi della catena montuosa delle
Dolomiti di Brenta (Dolomiti Occidentali); proprio dal contatto diretto
con la natura e le maestose vette dolomitiche che ci sovrastano
deriva la nostra passione per il trekking, lo sci e il mondo dell’Outdoor
in generale.
Italbastoni was founded in 1974 as a manufacturing company of woodmade mountain sticks, in the wake of a secular tradition of the place
where the premise is located. During the 80’s and90’s, we became
leader in Europe in the production and sale of orthopedic and daily
use walking sticks, umbrella handles and injection moulding of
polimeric stuff.
At the beginning of ‘90s, we produced our first trekking and ski poles,
made in different aluminum alloys and composite materials.
We are located in Taio, in the Non Valley, at the foot of the Dolomites
of Brenta (West Dolomiti); just from the daily view of the high peaks
comes our passion for the mountain and the Outdoor activities and
the boost to design new, high-tech and specialized products.
MISSION
La nostra mission non è solo quella di produrre e vendere bastoncini.
Vogliamo anche trasmettere alle persone che li acquistano la nostra
passione per la montagna e la natura in generale, e spingerle a
praticare attività fisiche all’aria aperta, per una vita più sana fatta di
movimento e libertà, nel rispetto dell’ambiente in cui viviamo.

it’s not only the target to make top-quality, specialized products.
We want to convey the users our love and passion for the mountain and
the nature and to push them to practice physical Outdoor activities, to get
a healthy life made up of movement and freedom, with full respect of the
enviroment in which we live.
RISPETTO E CONSERVAZIONE DELL’AMBIENTE
Nella progettazione e produzione di un prodotto curiamo vari aspetti: dalla
scelta accurata dei materiali (leghe di alluminio, composito, materiali
polimerici, tutti certificati ISO e REACH), all’ottimizzazione delle lavorazioni,
per diminuire al massimo lo scarto.
Ma sempre maggior cura viene posta nella scelta di materiali che siano
il più possibile riciclabili e compatibili con l’ambiente che ci circonda.
Senza trascurare la questione dell’imballaggio, che rappresenta spesso la
componente più inquinante dei prodotti che vengono consumati al giorno
d’oggi.
Tutte le vernici e gli inchiostri che usiamo in serigrafia e in sublimazione
sono certificati secondo la normativa REACH e i contenitori, una volta
vuoti, vengono consegnati a ditte specializzate, che provvedono al loro
smaltimento.
The design and the production of a trekking or a ski pole includes different
aspects: the right choice of the raw materials (alloy, polymers, composite,
all ISO and REACH-conformed), the optimization of the working processes,
the functionality.
But more and more we keep an eye on the preservation of the enviroment,
starting from the choice of materials, which can be reusable and recyclable,
in order to reduce the wasted material as much as possible. Very important
is also the packages, which must be also recyclable and used as low as
possible.
All the varnishes and paints are conformed to the new REACH directive and
the containers are disposed by specializes companies.
REUSE & RECYCLE
Il bastoncino è costituito da varie parti e fatto di diversi materiali, molti dei
quali riciclabili: alluminio, materiali termoplastici (impugnature, puntali,
basket). Per questo, al termine della sua vita di utilizzo, non gettarlo, ma
spendi un po’ del tuo tempo nello smontarlo e nel separare i vari accessori.
Con poche semplici operazioni puoi contribuire anche tu a preservare
l’ambiente in cui viviamo.

The pole is made up of different parts and materials, many of them are
recyclable: thermo-plastics used to make the accessories (polyammide,
polipropilene,...), the textiles used to make the straps, the aluminum alloys.
At the end of the pole life, spend some time to disassemble your pole and
separate the various parts. With just a few operations you can make your
part to preserve the environment.

ALUMINUM ALLOYS AND COMPOSITE
Utilizziamo varie leghe di alluminio, materiali compositi, carbonio, tutti rigorosamente certificati dal produttore e regolarmente testati per
verificarne le proprietà meccaniche dichiarate.
We use different aluminum alloys, composite materials, technical polimers and textiles, all certified by the producers and tested periodically in order
to check the declared mechanical properties.
• LEGA alu5083: lega di alluminio impiegata per i modelli CLASSIC.
Resistenza: 45 Kgm2;
• LEGA alu7075-T6: lega di alluminio di derivazione aeronautica,
con grado di durezza T6, impiegata per i modelli hi-MOUNT e TourWALK. Resistenza: 56 Kgm2;
•LEGAHSA 6.5: lega di alluminio ultra-resistente, durissima, per la
produzione dei bastoncini Tour-LITE.
Resistenza: 60 Kgm2;
•COMPOSITO CARBON: aste composito in carbonio, in varie
percentuali, dall’alto modulo a basse percentuali.
• alu5083: welded aluminium alloy, T8-grade hardness, used for the
CLASSIC models. Tensile strength: 45 Kgm2;
• alu7075-T6: aerospace-derivated aluminium alloy, T6-grade
hardness, used for the hi-MOUNT and Tour-WALK poles. Tensile
strength:56 Kgm2;
•HSA 6.5: special ALU-based alloy, extremely hard, which allows
the use of slimmer diameters. Used for the Tour-LITE poles. Tensile
strength:60 Kgm2;
•CARBON COMPOSITE: different kinds of composite carbon shafts,
from High Modulus Fiber shats to medium carbon percentage.

Utilizziamo 2 tecnologie per la stampa della grafica sul bastoncino:
• serigrafia: applicazione del colore ad inchiostro;
• termo-sublimazione: il colore penetra sotto forma di vapore lo strato superficiale del tubo,
precedentemente verniciato a polvere. Questa tecnologia dà una resistenza molto forte al graffio;
La grafica resta quindi più bella a lungo.
We use 2 different technology for the graphics on the poles:
• silk screen: application of the color over the outside surface of the tube;
• thermo-sublimation: the color sublimated at nearly 200°C and as vapor steams deep into the powder coated layer of the tube.

PLASTICS AND ACCESSORIES
Tutti gli accessori in plastica e gomma che compongono i nostri bastoncini sono prodotti all’interno del ns stabilimento,
grazie a varie presse ad iniezione. Particolare attenzione viene posta nella scelta dei materiali più idonei, tenendo in
considerazione tutti le caratteristiche dell’ambiente in cui il bastoncino verrà usato: umidità, temperature rigide, raggi UV.
Puntali, basket e boccole sono stampate usando tecno-polimeri che rimangono flessibili fino a -30°C.

All plastic and rubber accessories of our poles are manufactured within our factory by means of injection moulding machines.
We pay great attention to the correct choice of material, taking into consideration the environment into which the poles are used: humidity,
low temperatures, UV rays.
The plastics and rubbers can be used within a range tempertature from + 40°C to - 30°C.

l’ossidazione;
All the sectors are protected against natural oxidation by means of 2 surface treatment:
• powder coating, on the CLASSIC poles;
• deep anodisation, stronger protection, for the high-range poles

QUICK LOCK SYSTEM
Italbastoni rinnova il sistema di bloccaggio a levetta, presentando
il nuovo sistema QLS Plus.
Dotato di una leva con movimento eccentrico, il nuovo QLS Plus
consente di regolare velocemente la lunghezza del bastoncino.
L’elevata forza di chiusura garantisce un serraggio sicuro in ogni
condizione di temperatura; la pratica leva consente una facile
regolazione della lunghezza del bastoncino anche senza la necesità
di togliere i guanti.

Italbastoni launches the new, improved fast lever locking system QLS
Plus. Made up by a lever with an over-center cam movement, this new
lock allows provides an effortless length adjustments, whit greater
clamping power and easy release in any condition of waether and
temperature.The lever is very comfortable and practical during the
winter use, becuase you can easily lock the pole without taking your
gloves off.

l sistema QLS è dotato di una facile regolazione della forza di
pre-serraggio. E’ sufficiente agire sul gancio in metallo fissato
alla leva.
Controlla sempre, prima dell’utilizzo, che il sistema blocchi con
forza il tuo bastoncino.
The new QLS is endowed with an easily adjustable pre-locking
system. Just simply turn the yellow hooked piece clockwise to
increase the locking system.
Before using the pole, always check that the QLS system properly
locks the pole properly and safely.

Il nuovo sistema brevettato Q.B.C. permette di sostituire
velocemente e facilmente il tipo di basket, in base alle esigenze e
alla specificità del terreno. Sono disponibili 3 basket con sistema

baskets, depending on the terrain you will hiking. 3 kinds of Q.B.C.

SUPER TWIST LOCK
Il nostro tradizionale sistema di bloccaggio ad espansore è stato
ulteriormente migliorato nella geometria, per una tenuta ancora
superiore. Inoltre, l’anima in metallo del perno espansore (resistenza
meccanica e una affidabilità elevatissime) è ora sovrastampata con
il resto del perno in materiale polimerico tenace e resistente alle
basse temperature, per abbassarne il costo e il peso.

Our traditional locking system has been further
improved in the shape, to give a superior locking
power. Moreover, to reduce the weight and the cost,
the central pivot, made in aluminum, is over mouldinjected with the rest of the pivot.

ADAPTIVE DEEP SNOW-BASKET
B.B.S. è il nuovo basket a 2 densità basculante da Ø120 mm per
l’uso su neve profonda e soffice, durante escursioni con ciaspole e
per alpinismo. Lo scheletro interno flessibile permette al basket di
adattarsi alla pendenza e alle asperità del terreno. In questo modo
viene garantita la presa del puntale nel terreno.
The new B.B.S. basket is a basculating Ø120mm sytem, for
mountaineering and snow-shoeing. It is made of an external stiff ring
made in plastic and an inner sketon made in flexible thermo-plastic
rubber, which allows the basket to adapt to the slope and unevenness
of terrain.
DOUBLE LOCKING SYSTEM
In alcuni modelli (SKI-TOURING), oppure su richiesta, il sistem QLS
è abbinato al tradizionale sistema ad espansione Twist Lock ES, per
ottimizzare il bloccaggio. 2 sistemi di sicurezza per garantire una
tenuta perfetta in qualsiasi condizione di temperatura e terreno. In
questo caso il sistema è denominato DLS (Doppia Chiusura)

Twist Lock, to give a double safe locking system and to ensure a safe
and solid lock in every conditions of temperature and terrain. In this
case the system is named DLS (Double Locking System)
ALIEN Grip
ALIEN è la nuova impugnatura ergonomica a 2 densità con
inclinazione positiva integrata. La testa con largo e confortevole
appoggio consente la presa dell’impugnatura da sopra, utile nella
discesa. E’ disponibile sia nella combinazione plastica+gomma che
nella versione plastica+cork iniettato.

grazie all’utilizzo della lega HSA 6.5 e all’uso delle impugnature in
foam. I TOUR-LITE sono adatti ad un trekking lungo, dove si pone un
occhio di riguardo al peso dell’attrezzatura;

Prima dell’avvento dei bastoncini telescopici in lega, in montagna si utilizzavano dei semplici bastoni in legno naturale. Italbastoni produce
sin dal 1974 una completa serie di modelli in legno di castagno, curvati a vapore o diritti (Alpenstock), con colorazione naturale, verniciati o
sfumati. Sono disponibili in diverse taglie, uomo/donna/ragazzo.
Per chi ama la tradizione!...
Italbastoni has been manufacturing natural chesnut wooden sticks since 1974. These products were used before the coming of metal telescopic poles.

NORDIC WALKING
La disciplina del Nordic Walking nasce in Scandinavia come attività
di training degli atleti fondisti durante la stagione estiva. Ben presto
vengono compresi i numerosi vantaggi di questa attività, molto
semplice da praticare e adatta a tutte le età. Vengono messe a punto
delle tecniche precise e velocemente questa nuova pratica dalla
Scandinavia si diffonde in tutta Europa.
Il Nordic Walking, grazie all’uso dei bastoncini, consente di
completare i movimenti della semplice camminata con l’uso delle

The Nordic Walking was born in Scandinavian as training activity
practised by cross-country skiers during summer season. Soon the
numerous advantages of Nordic Walking come out: the new sport
is easy to do and is suitable to all persons of every age. Specific
movements and actions are set up and quickly the new activity spreads
out from North to all Europe.
Thanks to use of specific poles, the Nordic Walking completes the
simple use of legs during walking with the movement of arms and
shoulders, involving 90% of the body muscles.
Particularly suggested to people who search for an easy, sweet and
healthy outdoor activity.

BENEFIT
l Nordic Walking mette in esercizio gran parte della muscolatura del
corpo, migliorando la la postura.
• il busto rimane eretto, lo sguardo in avanti. Migliorano postura e
coordinamento (fig.1).
• I muscoli delle gambe e delle braccia vengono rinforzati, allo
stesso tempo si ottiene un potenziamento cardiovascolare (fig.2);
• Viene attivata la circolazione sanguinea e allo stesso tempo si ha
un beneficio su schiena, collo e spalle;
• L’suo dei bastoncini e i movimenti alternati delle braccia riducono
la tensione su schiena, fianchi, ginocchia e caviglie;
• Rispetto ad una camminata normale, il consumo calorico, e quindi
di grassi, è molto maggiore;
• E’ adatto sia agli uomini e alle donne, indipendentemente dall’età,
della forma fisica, dal grado di allenamento;
• I bastoncini migliorano l’equilibrio e quindi la sicurezza su terreni
scivolosi (fig.3).
