SAR data processing. Development of innovative techniques.
Analysis of SAR data gathered on forested areas. Separation of contributions coming from the
ground and from the vegetation by means of Sum of Kronecker Product Decomposition (SKPD).
Analysis of the polarimetric signature associated with each contribution. Tomographic analysis.
Generation of Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) and height of vegetation. Comparison with the
results coming from laser (LIDAR) measurements. Biomass estimations.

distruttive per la diagnostica strutturale" (experimental thesis on the application of non
destructive techniques for the structural diagnostic)
October 2005: enrolled at the faculty of ingegneria delle telecomunicazioni (master's degree) at
Politecnico di Milano
April 2009: graduated in ingegneria delle telecomunicazioni (master's degree) at Politecnico di
Milano with a thesis titled "Sull'uso di modelle fisici polarimetrici nella tomografia SAR di aree
forestali" (on the exploitation of physical polarimetric models in SAR tomography over forested

DURING THE PERIOD SPENT AT POLITECNICO DI MILANO I LEARNT HOW TO WORK SYNERGICALLY WITH

TRAJECTORY, PROPER DAYS AND SUITABLE INSTRUMENTS.
EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF THE MATLAB ENVIRONMENT. VERY GOOD PROCESSING SKILL OF THE SAR
DATA. I AM ABLE TO FOCUS THE RAW SAR DATA BOTH IN RANGE-AZIMUTH COORDINATES AND ON A
DTM. I AM ABLE TO EVALUATE THE POLARIMETRIC CALIBRATION OF THE SAR DATA AND TO CORRECT IT
IF NECESSARY. I AM ABLE TO EVALUATE THE AMPLITUDE TOGETHER WITH THE PHASE INFORMATION. I AM
ABLE TO PERFORM INTERFEROMETRIC AND TOMOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF THE DATA.
I FOLLOWED A THREE YEARS COURSE OF PIANO DURING MY ADOLESCENCE.
