The area on which the Pozzulo del Friuli Barracks and the Cavallerizza stand on, is located
south-east of the historical centre of Ferrara, at the margins of the city walls, between Via
Cisterna del Follo, Via Caneva, Via Scandiana and the buildings and gardens overlooking Via
Madama. The area is located in a part of the city which is mainly for residential use, with
important historical and architectural structures which enhance its value.

Description
The building complex (Pozzuolo del Friuli Barracks and Cavallerizza), built at
the beginning of the twentieth century, is composed of four main buildings,
three barracks and one stable, plus several minor buildings once used as
workshops. It requires a significant amount of redevelopment works.
