Aron Demetz (Sterzing, 1972) beschäftigt sich seit Jahren mit der menschlichen Figur und mit deren Verwandlung. Neben dem Holz, das die „Seele”
sämtlicher seiner Arbeiten bleibt, experimentiert Demetz mit unterschiedlichen
Materialien und Techniken: Blattsilber und -aluminium, instabile und veränderbare Harze, Feuer und verschiedene Gravurtechniken, wodurch die Oberflächen zu einer lebendigen Haut werden, die nicht nur zudeckt, sondern regelrecht in die Körper „einzudringen” versucht.

Aron Demetz, (Vipiteno, 1972) da anni concentra la sua attenzione sulla figura
umana e sulla sua “traduzione”. Accanto al legno, che rimane l’anima di tutti
i lavori, sperimenta materiali e tecniche che suggeriscono una metamorfosi:
la foglia d’argento, la resina (instabile e costretta a continuo cambiamento), la
foglia d’alluminio, il fuoco e diverse tecniche di incisione. Una pelle viva che
non solo ricopre, ma letteralmente prova ad „entrare“ nell’opera.
A partire dal 1998 ha intrapreso una intesa attività espositiva internazionale.
