CONCORSI INTERNAZIONALI DI MUSICA DELLA VAL TIDONE

ENZA SCIOTTO (Italia)
Nata a Milazzo (Me), Enza Sciotto ha studiato con Fulvio Tomeo, Salvo Pirrello e di
seguito con il messinese Mela, Bruno Battisti D’Amario, Walter Zanetti, Giampaolo Bandini.
Si è affermata come solista nel cartellone di molte stagioni concertistiche. Ha partecipato a
numerosi concorsi chitarristici posizionandosi sempre tra i primi posti. Ha fatto parte di diverse
formazioni cameristiche come il quartetto a plettro “Vincenzo de Bonis”, il gruppo “Siké” per la
ricerca, il recupero la valorizzazione del patrimonio etnico; per anni ha condotto un’intensa
attività concertistica in duo con la fisarmonicista Carmela Stefano. Suona stabilmente in duo
con il flautista Alberto Vocaturo e con il soprano Teresa Cardace.
In campo didattico ha seguito numerosi corsi organizzati dalla SIEM con maestri quali Maurizio
Spaccazocchi, Giovanni Piazza, Johannella Tafuri, Louisa Di Segni-Jaffé (metodo Dalcroze).
Diplomatasi inoltre in Didattica della Musica presso il Conservatorio di Messina, in
collaborazione con il centro giovanile “Cairoli” e al comune di Barcellona P.G. ha fondato e
guidato la “Cairoli Ensemble Musique”, orchestra interamente composta da giovanissimi.
E’ stata docente nelle Scuole Medie ad Indirizzo Musicale, assistente in vari corsi tenuti dal M°
Nello Alessi, nonché nella Scuola Civica Comunale”Giuseppe Privitera” di Siracusa.
Dal 2004 è titolare della cattedra di chitarra, triennio e biennio specialistico, presso il
Conservatorio di Musica “Tchaikovsky” di Nocera Terinese (Cz).
Nel 2010 ha fondato l’Associazione musicale “Mέλος” di cui è Presidente, da cui è nata
l’orchestra di chitarre “Melos Ensemble”.
Enza Sciotto was born in Milazzo (ME). She studied with Fulvio Tomeo, Salvo Pirello
and after with Matteo Mela ( from Messina ), Bruno Battisti D’ Omario, Walter Zanetti and
Giampaolo Bandini. She was successful as soloist in differents concert seansons; took part in
many guitar competitions, always placing herself in the first positions. She took part too in
differents chamber groups like the plectrum quartet “Vincenzo de Bonis”, the group “Siké” for
research, reclamation and valorization of ethnic heritage. Conducted for years an intense
concert activity in duo with the accordion player Carmela Stefano. Now, she plays with the
flautist Alberto Vocaturo or with the soprano Teresa Cardace.
In regard to the didactic activity, followed a lots of courses, organized by SIEM, taught by
masters as Maurizio Spaccazocchi, Giovanni Piazza, Johannella Tafuri, Louisa Di Segni-Jaffé (
Dalcroza method ). She got the diploma in “Didactics of Music” at the conservatory of Messina
and, in collaboration with the youth center “Cairoli” and the Barcellona P.G. municipality,
founded and conducted the “Cairoli Ensemble Musique”, an orchestra composed entirely of
young people. She taught in secondary school with musical direction, and also in the local civic
school “Giuseppe Previtera” of Siracusa; was assistent in many classes given by the master
Nello Alessi. Since 2004 is the guitar master ( triennium and two-year specialization ) at the
conservatory “ Tchaikovsky” in Nocera Terinese ( CZ- Italy ); founded, in 2010, the musical
association “Mέλος” of wich she’ the president and whence was born the guitar orchestra “Melos
Ensemble”.
