was intended to challenge Rotary to raise
200 mln USD within June 30, 2012.
The challenge has been won and the goal
was reached well in advance thanks to the
rotarians worldwide.
This success has enabled us to enjoy an
additional bonus of 50 million USD that the
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to
witness the commitment of Rotary, wanted
to make available to the Rotary so as not
to let the guard down and so as to
continue, with great determination, the
battle against this terrible disease.

In order to qualify for a citation, clubs
must meet the Presidential Challenge
and complete one required activity,
along with at least three additional
activities, in each of the three
categories listed.
Unless otherwise specified, all
activities must be undertaken and
completed between 1 July and 31
March of the 2012-13 Rotary year.
Clubs should complete the form and
send it to the district Governor no later
than March 31, 2013.
Forms sent to Rotary International will
not be processed.
