Brauer groups and rational points on algebraic varieties.
This will be an expository talk.
After recalling the basics of Brauer groups of fields and of algebraic varieties, we shall explain how the Brauer group intervenes in questions about the existence of rational points on
algebraic varieties, and state a few remarkable results and conjectures in this direction.
