“OM MANI PADME HUM”
Questo MANTRA (preghiera, formula rituale) è il simbolo della vita Buddista in
Tibet. La sua traduzione più semplice è “ OM Gioiello del Loto, HUM”. OM è l'inizio,
HUM la fine; sono l' Alfa e l'Omega, cioè la Totalità. Per Gioiello si intende l'Assoluto
che è racchiuso nel Loto, cioè nella Purezza della persona di AVALOKITESHWARA, il
Signore che ha guardato in basso, il BUDDA COMPASSIONEVOLE.
Questa litania millenaria si trova sulla maggior parte degli strumenti mistici e
rituali, straordinario esempio di alto artigianato artistico Tibetano.

L'unione dei 3 metalli rappresenta l'armonia, l'equilibrio, la salute.
Il Rame è la TERRA, l'Ottone è il SOLE, l'Alpacca è la LUNA.
Su alcuni appare anche il Mantra Buddista – Om Mani Padme Hum.
Sono interamente realizzati a mano. Anche il sacchettino che li contiene è fatto
con tessuti tradizionali Himalayani.

Il DORJE (VAJRA in sanscrito), simbolo del dio vedico delle tempeste INDRA è
il Fulmine. Simboleggia l'assoluto, indistruttibile ed eterno. Rappresenta il principio
maschile, contrapposto alla DRILBU (GHANTA in sanscrito), la Campanella, che è il
principio femminile.
Sono il simbolo più comune e complesso del Buddismo Tibetano, l'Incorruttibilità
della Verità: non sono concepibili rituali o preghiere senza questi due “strumenti”. La
campanella (Drilbu) si tiene nella mano sinistra, il fulmine (Dorje) nella destra.
KORTEN - RUOTA DI PREGHIERA
(di origine esclusivamente Tibetana)
Il Mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum” è presente sia all'esterno del Cilindro
(CHOKOR), sia all'interno su un rotolo di carta di riso dove è scritto molte volte. La
ruota va girata in senso orario. Il Mantra è attivato ogni volta che la ruota compie un
giro. CHOKOR significa letteralmente GIRARE LA DOTTRINA.
CEMBALI
Realizzati in una speciale lega metallica, simile a quella delle campanelle, che a
seconda delle percentuali diverse utilizzate ne fa variare la sonorità. Sempre
riproducono la vibrazione cosmica primordiale OM. Il Mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum”
è inciso a caratteri tibetani sulla parte superiore dei piatti.

“OM MANI PADME HUM”
This is a Tibetan Mantra (power-words prayers), it means: “Hi, to the
Jewel in the Lotus”. It refers to conscious knowledge of the existence of the
Jewel, the Divine Spark in the human heart. Where OM stands for the
beginning, HUM is the end; they are the Alpha and the Omega, thus the
Wholeness. The Jewel stands for the Absolute that is enclosed in the Lotus,
the Purity of AVALOKITESHWARA, the BUDDHA OF COMPASSION.
This ritual prayer, a mantra, appears on most part of mystical tools,
beautiful samples of Tibetan highly artistic craftmenship.
3 METAL BRACELETS
The combination of the 3 metals represents harmony, balance and
health.
Brass is for the Sun
Copper is for the Earth
White Metal is for the Moon.
The Holy Mantra “OM MANI PADME HUM” is embossed on some models.
They are entirely hand made with traditional skill.
AKSHAMALA
is the Buddhist praying beads “rosary”. Made out of 108 beads or bone
little disks. Symbol of AVALOKITESHWARA, the Buddha of Compassion.
DORJE AND DRILBU (the Bell and the Thunderbolt)
DORJE (VAJRA in sanscrit), symbol of Indra, God of Storms, is the
thunderbolt, the absolute, indestructible and the Eternal. Represents the Male
principle, while DRILBU (GHANTA in sanscrit), the BELL, is the Female
principle. They are the most common but most complex symbol of TIBETAN
BHUDDISM, the incorruptible truth. No ritual or prayer is conceivable without
them. The left hand holds the little bell, the right hand holds the thunderbolt.

PRAYING WHEEL (origin exclusively tibetan)
The “OM MANI PADME HUM” mantra is written on the outside of the
cilinder (CHOKOR) and even in the inside, on a rice paper scroll. The wheel
turns clockwise. The mantra is “activated” every time that the wheel
completes a round. Chokor literally means: “turn the Dharma, the Doctrine”.
CYMBALS
Realized using a special metal alloy, similar to that one of the Bells,
each pair with a different tune and sonority. They reproduce the cosmic
primordial vibration, OM. The “OM MANI PADME HUM” Mantra is often carved
or embossed on the upper part of the cymbals.
